You are probably right. They are a classic example of one team riding one pitcher twice last week to advance. They won't win any other games. They have one chance. When he pitches.Cornersville will win the game Looney pitches! After that I don't know enough about those teams. I feel like the Summertown vrs Goodpasture match up where ever it is winners bracket or losers bracket will determine the Riverdale championship.
-
I witnessed this last year. Tyner Academy in Chattanooga had a pitcher that would throw 100 pitches on Monday and throw again Thursday then in some instances on Saturday as well.
-
Doesn't look like anyone is giving Boyd Buchanan a chance? The winner of Grace and Boyd wins this half of the bracket. I also look for Cornersville to be the first team out in this bracket.
-
I thought this Boyd team was a legitmate state title contender earlier in the season and they have proven my suspicions. Keep representing Chattanooga well!
-
I told you weeks ago skydogg that you guys were the cream of the crop. Why the mention of teams in here that didn't make it? The focus should be on your team. You guys creamed that bunch anyway they couldnt be that good or they would have been where you guys are. Congratulations and keep on winning.

I think that's way too much for a high school kid, 15 innings! Then the coach throws the catcher for the remaining three and then in the 2nd game for the full 7 innings. The catcher's arm must have been jello the next day.
I must agree with you cottage cheese.

Goodluck today Dogg. I am expecting no problems for this Buc team in this one.
Told you what would happen.
-
One of you don't know what they're talking about.
skydogg25 says less than 7 innings per week.
Gut Bombs says 3 games in 8 days.
Which is it?
They lost some games due to rainouts but I personally saw him pitch 3 complete games in 8 days. Throwing 90-100 pitches with 1-2 days in between then doing it again is what made me cringe watching the kid. He was a great pitcher and watch and see how much better he becomes in college with coaching and care for his arm he will receive.
-
Goodluck to Soddy Daisy tonight. Represent the area well.
-
Yep and the Boyd team has two seniors so expect that maybe both can be back in same situation next year
Goodluck today Dogg. I am expecting no problems for this Buc team in this one.

I read on twitter that the Boyd-Buchanan/S. Pittsburgh game was moved to Thursday @ 8:30 pm EST. Is that correct?
They might have been skeered.
-
When a young man starts games throughout the course of a baseball season every 2-3 days he is overused. The kid started 3 games in 8 days on a couple of occasions this season. I can assure you he was overused. His arm will need some off season recovery time but I am excited to see just how good the kid can be in college when used correctly.
-
Congratulations to this young man. He will get the tutoring and rest he needs to become an even better pitcher.

I agree gut bomb, central is never really LOADED with talent year in and year ( because of Hardships grated) out but somehow Coach Carter seems to get the most out of his guys that he can and his facility is one of the best in Chattanooga. . They always put up a fight and coached well. I look for them to be vastly improved next year with 8 returning starters from this years team.
Yes I agree with you and hope we have an improved team.

Boyd was able to put away the Tigers from Whitwell in six innings last evening to reach the region championship game at South Pittsburg Wednesday night if weather permits. You can read the news stories @ www.leaguelineup.com/boydbaseball
What did I say about yesterday's game? Refer to my post above lol. More of the same on Wednesday for you guys. Boyd has one of the top 5-6 teams in the state. I predict another 8-9 run win for you against SP.
-
Went and caught Boyd and Whitwell yesterday until Boyd put it away. I was expecting a little more from the pitcher from Whitwell. I had heard alot of good things about his pitching but Boyd did knock him around pretty good. Went to Hixson and would like to say congratulations to Coach Green at Hixson. This might be the furthest Hixson has been since he was playing for the wildcats.
-
Shouldn't Goodpasture win it all this year?
I did a little research. They have won 8 state titles in baseball so I would say they have a shot. lol
-
This Sheffield kid is the real deal. I had the opportunity to see him pitch last season. I can only imagine how good he is now.
-
I look for them to possibly run rule each of the next 2 opponents. You guys will be fine.
-
Boyd is still the class of class A in the area. Goodluck today!
-
A good afternoon for some baseball. Im not going to make the trip to Sequoyah to watch Central. I am going to go see the Boyd vs Whitwell game first. I am thinking this one will be over pretty quickly and then maybe I can get out to Hixson in time to see some of that one. Goodluck to the area teams today.
-
Great game last night. Central did more with less this season than alot of teams around.
-
For the most part private schools rule in 1A baseball. I didn't realize that Goodpasture was now 1A. That spells trouble for the rest of the teams. They have no business in 1A. Geez! Goodluck with that.

Did you yell at umps yesterday? lol

I'm a big Chattanooga fan, but East Hamilton will be the first team out in Pool A. Soddy Daisy could possibly win a game, but they won't represent Pool B either.
