I'm a big Chattanooga fan, but East Hamilton will be the first team out in Pool A. Soddy Daisy could possibly win a game, but they won't represent Pool B either.
You are probably right. They are a classic example of one team riding one pitcher twice last week to advance. They won't win any other games. They have one chance. When he pitches.
I witnessed this last year. Tyner Academy in Chattanooga had a pitcher that would throw 100 pitches on Monday and throw again Thursday then in some instances on Saturday as well.
Doesn't look like anyone is giving Boyd Buchanan a chance? The winner of Grace and Boyd wins this half of the bracket. I also look for Cornersville to be the first team out in this bracket.
I thought this Boyd team was a legitmate state title contender earlier in the season and they have proven my suspicions. Keep representing Chattanooga well!
I told you weeks ago skydogg that you guys were the cream of the crop. Why the mention of teams in here that didn't make it? The focus should be on your team. You guys creamed that bunch anyway they couldnt be that good or they would have been where you guys are. Congratulations and keep on winning.
They lost some games due to rainouts but I personally saw him pitch 3 complete games in 8 days. Throwing 90-100 pitches with 1-2 days in between then doing it again is what made me cringe watching the kid. He was a great pitcher and watch and see how much better he becomes in college with coaching and care for his arm he will receive.
When a young man starts games throughout the course of a baseball season every 2-3 days he is overused. The kid started 3 games in 8 days on a couple of occasions this season. I can assure you he was overused. His arm will need some off season recovery time but I am excited to see just how good the kid can be in college when used correctly.
