  1. I understand the ball control / running philosophy of Alcoa, and you cannot argue with the results, but can you imagine if they ever opened up that offense! Some of the best athletes around but not being fully utilized. Same with their BB team. Athletes all over the court and they rarely press and run plays that teams with poor athletes have to use. Strange.
  2. Unfortunately, I see CAK heading down the path to obscurity. The decision to go the private school path will eventually erode the talent base in all sports and send them spiraling in the direction of Webb. Irrelevant to anyone but parents, grandparents and girlfriends. Hey....I kid! Just a good chance to take a shot at our old rivals. 😜 Seriously though, they probably will decline some in FB. A lot of those kids will start heading to KCHS or back to public powers and it will be a hit to both depth and talent.
  3. What jumps out at me in the video is the speed of the o line. Of course then most guys were sub 200 lbs and athletic. Most HS linemen now are bulked up with so much protein and other muscle building crap that they are huge but in my opinion not nearly as athletic.
  4. Well, this crow will be delicious. Congrats to Fulton!
  5. Better get use to it. I truly do not see Alcoa losing another 3A State Championship at least until the next go around on reclassification. Probably not even then....powerhouse.
  6. That is usually what happens in the playoffs as far as refs coming in from other regions. I believe we are too strong for Fulton this year; KC 48 Fulton 14. Really cannot see any team in TN (you too Maryville and Alcoa) hanging with the Irish this season.
  7. I wonder where wm blount and heritage would hide if AHS moved to 6A? I also saw where they were dropping Alcoa next year but I wonder what would have happened if they either had beaten them this year or at least were competitive? I am guessing they would still want to play. The message they are sending to their players, fans and students by refusing to play is pretty sad.
  8. Decent game for the Irish but should have been a larger spread. I can't figure out Alcoa. They seem to have the players but I am not sold on the coaching. Not really sure what they are trying to do on offense or defense and it looks like "organized confusion". Would love to hear some Alcoa fans takes on the team and coaches.
  9. Just saw a report that the Alcoa QB has a sprained ankle and not a break. Good news for him and alcoa.
  10. Yes, pretty sure I know who you are referring to and I agree with you. I have seen them play 3 times this year and he has been an embarrassment to the program every game that I have seen. Hopefully UT coaches will change that next year. I did notice that he was on the bench the last quarter or so too.
  11. Where did #32 (MHS) come from? Don't remember seeing him before.
  12. Sorry, didn't mean you but was talking about the article. Not sure if that was mutually agreed upon spin or if GQ did that one by himself. I am sure we will hear more.
