What is Coach Herrell going to do at the high school? He will be good for P.R. If the kids from the middle school go to CHS with the previous group of freshmen and sophmores maybe things will maintain or improve.

What happened with the clinton football website? I enjoyed keeping up with some of the kids that my son has grown up playing sports with?

Marc, so not cool to say the things you did. If you have an issue with Krista don't slam Logan in the process. Unless you were present and part of that situation then don't judge or assume you know the reason. Riddler, I was just wandering what the sign up meant? I haven't heard of that before......as far as desperation, there seems to be kids coming from other places to play CC and so on, which is good for the program. Maybe, things will turn the cormer. I think it's still a long shot, but best of luck to the dragon players in the future. Has anyone heard anything about the stadium and when the improvments are going to start?

Andy said in the local paper that Stone wasn't leaving. He and his dad were present at the Middle School football banquet as a welcome to the Dragons thing. I hope that they stay at Clinton. Darian is a good young man off the field as well, with that the team can only benefit from him being there. What is the deal with Andy going to CMS and the kids signs cards or something to say that they were going to go to CHS?

I believe that some kids with F's did sit out. I don't think that has as much to do with being a football player as it has to do with who the player is or who the players parents are. That is a poor reflection on the school as a whole not just the athletic director. (I am not defending him in any way). With all the negativity and complaints surrounding the AD I think it is a shame that those in charge don't step in and see what is going on. On another note I hear that Andy has made his appearence at the middle school, talking to the kids about the program. i guess he may pay a little attention to what he hears and reads. I think it is a good idea for him to start on the middle school kids now if he wants them to play. Glad to see in the paper that Darian is staying. Any names being thrown around to replace the assistants leaving?

Yes the program is much more than a coach. The program is the kids. Right now at Clinton the kids are back seat to coaching issues and cut throat parents. An Athletic Director that knew how to do his job would also try to assist in fixing the problem.

As stated before, the AD is exactly what bully said he is. I don't see anyone with any sense wanting to deal too much with him. What does it take to qualify for AD? There seems to be alot of shake up going on. What running back are you talking about? (Hester).....? Is anyone working on the kids at the middle school in regards to coming to the high school? Because even the Andy fans must admit that with only 3 upcoming seniors on the team next year doesn't appear to be as good as this year. Not many 8th graders looking to forward to football at CHS, alot of parents are shopping.

bully, once again you are speaking of things you know nothing about. You really are concerned about the two qb's that left. Maybe they bet you or your son out at the position at one time. No one will be surprised if Stone leaves, I think that was predicted before he came. If he chooses to go else where I wish the best for him as well. He's a really nice kid. Why are you so hung up on the middle school coach? Are you afraid of someone coming in with some with some integrity and concern about what happens to the kids? RebelRon, it's hard to see your family and those you love being attacked even when there adults. You make some good points. I think Coach Phillips needs some time to mature not in his knowledge of the game but personally before working with high school kids. I do as I said before wish him the best of luck with his persuit of his education and hope that this experience will give him some tools for when he coaches in the future.

Compettition is a healthy and great way to push you to be your best. Without competition players become idle so, no the competition is not the problem. Not really sure what the middle school has to do with the situation. Maybe I was to vague on the cussing. As a parent I know that the kids have all heard these words before, I think it is the manner in which they are used. I really hate that this seems to get you so angry. You really take this very personally. If you feel that you know so much about our situation I would love the opportunity to talk one on one with you so that if there are any questions you would like to ask I can answer them. You seem to have gotten some mis-information as did several others from a parent or two at CHS.

Consolidation of the two schools systems won't have that much effect. It is still the same kids that go to CHS or ACS, however it might give some new families in town a chance to bid for a coaching position. Bully, I think it had more to do with the character of the coach with his poor choices as a role model. Or it could be because most of his vocabulary involved 4 letter words "MF" and so on....But whatever comes to be Clinton still has a big hill to climb.

I don't know where Stone will go but I do believe he will go. I can't blame him. He is a very talented player and good kid, he needs to be where he will benefit the most. Phillips was probably fired because Andy offically turned in his notice and now there is no one to protect Phillips from himself. (just a theory)....but I have heard that his notice is coming.....Congrat's to the boy's on Friday's win. I hope you are right zcar about next year.

I believe Cute Andy has already decided to move on for many reasons. As for his assistants I don't think that a new coach would keep them and what is going to happen next year when stone transfers. I would say his dad is looking and I bet O.R. could use both dad and son.

I would hope Clinton see's some changes in coaching and in the position of Athletic Director. Shattuck, Marsh, and Phillips need to find another career and avoid anything that requires human contact.

Football is a team sport. Stone is NOT a team. And yea I agree he won't be there next year you can count on that. I won't begin to guess what color though. The best chance the Dragons have for next year is that the rumor proves true and Shattuck leaves and takes his M/P with him.

It would be hard for Clinton coaches to stop trash talk. I believe they have taught the kids well in that area. So have a couple of the parents.

Wouldn't you think the more your JV team plays the better for the next year? What a shame for the boys playing or is that one of the reasons there aren't enought left to play JV ball? Good Luck to the boys next year.

They are somewhat better, however I think that corner that is being turned only leads to a brick wall. I believe that Stone and his dad will leave and look for a better showcase for his talent. This will leave the Dragons in trouble for a QB next year. Good Luck Dragons with the rest of the season.
