    It takes a bad night from Riverdale for Siegel to have good FT shooting? News to me

    Nick and Gooch are capable players and Riverdale having a good night does not mean they can't have success

     

    What some view as Mental weakness from Cutter are people who just don't understand him as a player. Kid is passionate and that shows when he is on the court because of how bad he wants to win. He is the leader of that team and that has never been a question on this team. That people are even questioning whether or not Cutter can hold up mentally is almost comical.

    Also tdntn didn't you come on here earlier and say Cutter took over in the 3rd quarter of the 1st game and that there was nothing Riverdale could do to stop it?

    If Siegel could choose one team to play from Murfreesboro to play, It would be Riverdale.

     

    Once 3 point shooter catches fire theres nothing much you can do. I wont be shocked at all if Siegel wins though.

    The Lebanon/Siegel game was a better played game than the score indicated. The difference was, as has been in most Siegel games, defense. Siegel executed their offense pretty well but kept the Lebanon offense from doing those things that usually have been good to keep them close. Siegel did control the boards much better with Parrott and Spurlock along with Waggoner really making a statement in splitting the time. Waggoner scored 10 points and had numerous rebounds which was also a diffence. Siegel has not put a 4 quarter game together this year but this one came closer to doing it, maybes 3 quarter game.

     

    Crowd at homecoming about 1800-1900.

    Lebanon is still playing good and Howse, Brooks,Marshall, the Elies are as formidable as they usually are but Alan Bush and Staff really showed Lebanon something which they had not seen and took away their offense. If they were to play again, I'm sure the score would be different.

    why are you surprised?? I think it smart for middle to take chances on local walk ons, especially if the qualify for the lottery scholarship. In shanes case he gets the lottery scholarship and gets money because his mother is a teacher. I am just surprised that MTSU hasn't contacted more kids.

     

    2priceless, Andrew McGowan is going to Middle but not playing ant sports. He just doesn't want to.

     

    Why doesnt tyler walk on as well?

    Because their offense couldnt pick it up when the defense needed some help. The defense put Oakland in a position to win pretty much every game except for franklin and riverdale. Im not saying the offense is THE reason, but when you have to rely on your defense to turn it over so you can score points, that should tell you somethin

     

     

     

    That pretty much somes it up. D-fence was great but O was a struggle

    Can one of you Oakland fans please tell me how LaVergne beat you? Not like I can't see it happening...but what did they do well? I saw them play the other night at Beech and even though they overcame an 11 point half time deficit to pull out a 4 point victory...they really didn't impress me all that much.

     

    Just wondering how they got to you

     

     

     

    Oakland came out FLAT! Like they thought they had the game in the bag before it even started. They have done that a couple times but still won.

    I am also glad to hear that Mc is doing his punishment to remain on the team. That may have been the turnaround that he needed.....fear of losing his sr season. He has the potential to be one of the greats to come out of Oakland. We need his head on straight, and for him to look at Sam to release what he could lose. We need his tenacity on the field and his determination to make the play.

    PS...olandpats graduated a few yrs ago.

    Let me clear something up. There is a diff between transferring and quiting. I quit oakland, McCann moved and moved to a diff zone which was siegel. Thats transferring not quiting.

     

    I agree with oaklandgrad if you start out 4-1 you GOTTA make the playoffs. We might not say it but we all know how oakland lost a couple games.
