is there any reason for anyone to ever say that? does anyone ever say go siegel..unless they are from siegel? so at a game involving shelbyville and wilson central why would anyone say go siegel. everyone hates siegel. everyone hates them. this game was between two teams who are in contention for state titles. so obviously siegel would never come up in that conversation. due to the fact that they're barely in contention for a championship in their own district. siegels garbage. so are their fans. so are you. stay on their threads unless you have something productive or relative to the point to say

Really nice obeservation wingman, your knowledge always amazes me. Oakland deserved the win last night is all aspects. You can try and blame it on the refs, Id have liked the semi hanging on the rim to have been a no call but it wasnt. I was suprised Siegel ever got back into that game. I thought we were deflated big time but they made a nice comeback to stay in it. Still proud of my Stars. No Kerry Hammonds kills us in so many ways. Cant guard Cutter as tight with kerry in the game. TJ your really cool man congrats on having a chant directed at you, by the way what school are you going to now? Blackman Riverdale??? Guys flip flopped schools more then John Kerry did issues in 04. It is dumb that yall are talking about that missed dunk. I have never seen Marc Gooch miss a dunk in a game until last night. Lay off the kid. If you guys could get that high i doubt you would simply lay it in. Hes only a sophmore. Let it go. We lost. Im not going to blame it on that missed dunk though. When your best player scores 5 points you wont win often. Tough loss but ill bet this wont be the last time these two teams meet by any means. It was a good game. Best complete game ive seen oakland play in a long time. They earned this W. They played a pretty good all around game. Only thing thats hurting them is not having an outside shooter. I think Coach Harris is a great guy but a terrible coach. Doesnt use his players well at all. Joe Ward played a better game then Pico or Chris and Harris would not let him play. Smitty played a good game and harris would not let him play. I dont think hes racist but i dont think he realized he has some talent on his bench now he needs to use it and keep his team fresh. Randy King is the best coach is 7aaa if not the whole state. I feel if some of Siegels talent was on his team he would utilize them better. He uses his bench better then any coach i know of.

Explain how Joe played a better game than Pico please. Smitty wasn't in the game long at all. I don't know how he made an impact besides the flop.

I would say this, I wouldn't be counting Siegel out yet, They are more than capable of winning the tournament. They are not playing at the top of their game now, but the night I saw them, they shared the ball and played as good as ANYONE in this district. As for Tyler Cutter, in my opinon , He is the best overall player in the district. Don't kid yourself people, he is the reason why you come out and see Siegel.

Saw them both play. Ridgeway might have had more talent than Siegel, but not much. That state final four game was a great game to watch, I went into it thinking Siegel should win and still think so to this day. Let me ask you a question, in your mind, what lost the state final four to Ridgeway for you all .. And don't say talent because the talent level was close. Could it have been Jordan Mincy handing out change to Siegels defense as they were left helpless as he racked up 10+ assists? Siegel was down big and made a nice run TOGETHER, and then once it was close the stars tried to show out and they lost as individuals. Could that have been it? Surely not, lets blame it on talent. As for Hamilton, they had nothing to do with the end of your season .. You did not make it to them, Whites Creek ended that run. And what happened to open the game? Two dumb fouls by Jones, a technical, and no effort on the defensive end as they had double digits before Siegel even managed to score. Say what you want, use every excuse in the book, but when it comes down to it, I know the truth and i know you know it as well.

White county was slumping when they played Oakland. It appears the slump is over. I don't pick winners and losers much over the years here on coachT, but if WC continues to play like they were last night and early in the season Oakland will not beat White county. I know what it stands for. The Heisman is supposed to go to the best player in college football but it usually goes to the best player on the best team, excluding this year. Also TJ, please cite wikipedia next time you quote it and try to sound intelligent

And 2p, Cutter has been the leading scorer about half the time this year. Very rarely has he scored 20+ points.

But as evidence by the Oakland game and the continueing streak since then, its clear he is what makes Siegel go. He gets teammates involved more now than ever before.

People can debate all day about who is the most valuable or "valued" as TJ's wikipedia quote says, but nothing will ever get settled. Regardless of what the award says it should be, it goes to the best player in todays world. Thats the way it is and there isn't much arguing that fact.

As the term MVP is awarded by coaches and team mates, the V should represent 'valued' not 'valuable'. To say a player is most valuable would be to imply his or her resale value is the highest. In fact the award is given to the player most appreciated by his or her colleagues, ie. the most valued.

Don't mention the flogging Blackman received from Siegel when they played head to head.

same number of losses yet haven't played nearly as many games.

People keep trying to say the MVP goes to most valuable player to his team...it hasn't been that way in a long time. It goes to the best player in the district. Like it or not, thats the way it is, so arguments of Carter being so valuable because his team isn't good without him doesn't make much sense.
