  1. That's some pretty good hoops knowledge over there. Whatever happened to the "Rage" AAU program?
  2. Any truth to the rumor that BGA may want to look at Jay Johnson from Franklin? I know he's been winning district 11AAA a bunch and has been to some substates, and the schools are pretty close to one another!
  3. No surprise here, Franklin seems to always be in the running in D-11AAA: Congrats to Ravenwood, should be an interesting champinship game, Very disappointed in Hillsboro, obviously BIG MAC not playing hurt, but you play with T the cards you are dealt....I read a post where it said "Jay Johnson Chokes",,,,someone please explain? I don't see Franklin or Ravenwood matching up very well with H-LANE OR OVERTON!
  4. Can somebody post the ALL-DISTRICT TEAM and DISTRICT MVP? The guy at the City Paper wants to list the district teams and mvp's before tournament play starts. I think the coaches decided last weekend?
  5. A few thoughts, the top 2 in Ditsrict 11-AAA will get a first round buy and advance to Regions...FYI It looks like Hillsboro and Franklin will finish as CO-CHAMPS, with the Boro getting the 1 seed in the tourney. Mt thoughts: Hillsboro: rely on talent, not very coachable, very undisciplined, "Big Mac" atough matchup, with terrible attitude. Franklin: Beat Siegal, Overton, and Lavergne,,,but then had some bad losses, seems they switch up defenses alot, saw them last night and their 4th qrtr D, the 1-3-1, caused R-Wood problems, I remember them upsetting M-Wood with that last year. Indy: Play hard, just don't seem like basketball players R-Wood: Tons of shooters, not big Centennial: VERY ATHLETIC,,,,but can't get it together, coaching????? B-WOOD: Well coached, need more athletes, rely on the 3
  6. Still keeping an eye on Franklin at 9-0, beating Overton, Siegal, and Lavergne... Saw some interesting upcoming games.. Friday @ the Mt Juliet Bear Classic at 2 we have Franklin vs Father Ryan.. Saturday..........BIG MATCHUP State contender Cleveland vs Franklin (both unbeaten) at 1:00.... Who are these kids from Franklin.....like I said earlier, they graduated like theirtop 8 players last year.... Props to their coach
  7. Franklin beats Siegal @ Siegal in Overtime... 76-72 Franklin is now 6-0
  8. All I CAN SAY IS WOW! I always keep an eye on Franklin because come region time it's usually Franklin vs Metro, but when I heard Franklin beat Siegal @ Siegal, I was a little taken back. I think Siegal is supposed to be ticketed for state this year, and ranked 1 in the mid-state. Is Franklin even ranked? They have wins @ Siegal, @ Lavergne, and against Overton. No one has played a better schedule. I say congrats to Franklin for being 6-0, when all those seniors graduated I expected a down year....guess not.
  9. Well it looks like phillyfan is back. I guess he would be after a 5-0 start. The coach at Franklin does do a good job, but you are very awnry it seems like. Can the Rebels win that district again, and make it to substate again, I doubt it, but that PG is a studly player! You phillyfan need to take a chill pill.
  10. I went to another Metro Nashville vs Williamson Co Game... I did think Overton had the squad this year, but Franklin is for real! Franklin beat Overton 72-68 They keep producing players,,,Franklins PG Mclemore had 40 pts by my count... Either that coach is very good or they have a ton of good players in that area, it seems like they win 25 games and the district every year? I was thinking with that last class that graduated that they would struggle?
  11. Okay there Crony, But look who Brentwood beat yesterday.... Beech, looks like there are two squads in williamson county..oh and Brentwood smacked the Rebels 1.....2......no .......3 times last year.....
  12. Well here we go again! I see Franklin is 3-0 already. Where is phillyfan bragging about his boyz? I see where this Mclemore kid is scoring alot for Franklin? Anybody know if Franklin is for real? It's going to be Franklin/Hillsboro for district title, big MAC wants the Rebels!
  13. ummmmm, beech's big guy actually had like 44, they destroyed siegal
  14. CPA should look good with all of the "Recruiting" they are doing, why don't they just play in the private school school division?
  15. I saw the game, was odd not to see Young, Miller Mclemore, and Haddix wearing the Franklin colors! I have been watching those squads against Metro for a while, summer and school ball. The new Rebels have some players that are pretty good. Saw a new big kid, seemed pretty polished. The Pace kid is really a good athlete. The Rebels point ###### looks exciting when he makes simple plays, sometimes he seemed to try to do too much. I think people are guessing Franklin to struggle, I can see this squad taking that district. Very under rated head coach who wins like 25-30 games a year.
  16. Wow, so now coach's are complaining about refs in a summer camp game? wow, who does that?
  17. Pretty postive it was more like a 25 pt win for Beech, and every team had already played 2 games by that point, Beech had already destroyed Hillsboro as well. The PG for beech is Reece Chamberlin, the post player they call "Jon Jon" had to have about 40 pts, not joking....all seigal did was shoot threes while chamberlin got to the rack and knocked down jumpers, Jon Jon seemed to clean up everything and he owned the paint.
  18. Been watching some of the Belmont team camp, and saw Siegal get blasted by 25 points to Beech. The big man Taylor controlled the paint and Beech's PG dictated the tempo all day. Most people in the gym were surprised, but Beech controlled the game from start to finish.
  19. I told yall it was a matter of time before those Rebels started getting into a groove. Starnes makes a difference, Haddix is playing very well, and Michael Young is always going to show up! I see a district run ahead, and a region run this year.
  20. Congrats to Franklin, you cats represented MID-TN basketball well last night. I love the way yall share the basketball. Great to see Starnes back out there, although I didn't miss him this past summer......lol
  21. Like I said in the other thread, Sexton is good, but shoots a ton. Franklin scored off assits last night, that's why they were the better TEAM.
  22. Fellas, I saw the game last night as an unbiased fan. I have to say this, don't talk trash about going to Franklin and winning big. Those guys love challenges and always play good when people stack up the chips against them. I have seen those Franklin kids the past 2 summers and on any given night they play like a great team. Personally I think they get tired of beating up district foes. As for Temple, hard to beat Franklin with one guy. I guess that works with single A comp, but not Franklin. Sexton did have like 24, but he shot about every time he touched it. The fouls were bogus on both ends, so no crying please. You got beat by a well coached, much experienced, and better basketball TEAM. Bottom line.
  23. Ensworth, Franklin, and Brentwood Academy are all pretty good programs
  24. Seen Franklin, not real impressed so far this year. Seem to have trouble scoring, besides the big man, (the Haddix kid) has been impressive. Something doesn't seem right with this Franklin squad. Anybody think the same?
