hopefully they can get the games in today. i think they both will be good games. i think page will win and if lewis can cut down on the errors the could pull off the upset. james pitched well against loretto in the regular season he lost 6-5 he only gave up 2 earned that game and lewis had a chance to win in the 7th. good luck to all the teams. pageman keep us updated on the rain.

just wanting some opinions on tommorows play in games. lewis @ loretto spring hill @ page both games should be competitive.

i was just goig to post about marshalls field and then i saw your post. yea marshalls field is huge in the gaps. you would think that as many state titles as they have won they would get a nice field but maybe they like it like that i dont know. and lewis county has a big field as well i think its around 330 or 340 down the lines and like 380 or so in center and the wind never blows outta there.

2 of the 3 plays were very close the one in the 7th was definately out and the other one trying to score on the pass ball was close but the one on the runner trying to score from second was safe the catcher missed the tag by at least six inches to a foot. lewis has had error problems all year. we have at least one bad inning a game. we have out hit almost every team we have played this year. good luck page against SH.

i dont know if the better team won or not lewis played well and if not for a couple bonehead calls at home it would have been a lot closer. we had two runs taken away from us. do you know if hughes is going to AP as a pitcher or as a fielder? good luck to page the rest of the year.

all i know is that lewis is 1-1 in the district both games against spring hill the first game was a disaster the fielding was horrid and the pitchers couldnt throw a strike. game two was a little better for lewis still some errors that shouldnt be commited but better. james got the win and pitched all 7 innings didnt have his good stuff but fought it out and got the w and lewis rallied in the late innings to win 6-4

I'm gonna come in on behalf of Lewis County. They played Mt. Pleasant yesterday in a scrimmage and beat the crap out of them, I don't know how good Mt. Pleasant is supposed to be, but for Lewis County's first showing they looked pretty good. The Panthers came out swingin, they put up 4 in the first inning, all 4 off of a Darren James grand slam. After that the Panthers dominated everything.

giles i think is just a little bit more talented than PC eventhough PC might be more athletic. i think skill beats athleticism this far in the tourney. i will be pulling for the 10AA giles because you gotta be loyal to your district. good luck to both teams.

I honestly think that the refs did not cost Lewis the game. It just seemed that Lewis got cold at the wrong time, and Giles capitalized. Even though Lewis County forced more turnover than Giles, Giles showed their dominance once again by pulling out the victory. It was a great game, very exciting, and I look forward to more of those games next year. Lewis is only losing 3 seniors, so they should be battling Giles for the top spot once again next year. The key to beating Giles next year is stop Creshaun Holt.

lewis doesnt open their season until the 16th. they have a game against lewis co. alumni this weekend. they open up at fairview. their rotation could be descent. they have james who should be the #1 and once rob skelton gets back healthy he should be ok. eric wright, derek duncan, nick king and jake tennison should see some mound time. chris hamm should finish the rotation and thats about all the pitching they have. 1st base should be solid with james and skelton splitting time. short will be good with tennison. second and third will be good. the infield is set with colby hamm catching. its the outfield that is worrisome. we will see they have gotten better each year and they could have a horse on the mound in james if they use hime right. hopefully they will keep improving.
