I honeslty don't know what to say about this game. The guys came out last night and showed their potential. The game got started with Corbin Carroll hitting the tre in Creshaun Holts face, it seemed that after that the Panthers never looked back. Chance Helton really looked like a leader last night and Kyle did what he always does and it was just exciting to see LC finally win this game. It has been 7 years and it has been a long time coming. Congratulation to the Panthers and keep it up!!!!

Well, I'm just gonna it on the whole Devin Holt thing, last year he was controlled because of Tryce and the other seniors. Now, that he is a senior there is no passing the basketball for him. In my opinion they have a great player that is standing in the post, but is probably not playing hard because he is not getting the ball. I played against him and it seems whenever he gets the ball he works extremely hard and plays hard and defense, but when somebody else starts hogging the ball he just gets mad and stands there to try and prove a point, and well from what I have heard that is what is happening this year, because Devin is shooting the ball everytime down. I don't know for sure how bad Devin has been, but I will see this Friday night when LC travels to Giles.

Well, Hickman Co. is very tough in their gym with their fans basically standing on the floor. HC will shoot very well, but I do not know what they have in the post area. As long as Wright doesn't get frustrated with HCs very aggressive and physical defense Loretto should be okay, but I thought that Loretto would whoop East and boy was I wrong. But, I think I will take HC by 5, probably in OT, HC usually comes out cold, but as the game goes on they will find their touch.

Well, I did not know that East had 4 starters out against LC, but I don't know all this about Loretto being better than LC. I have to say even though I said Loretto should win this game easy, I am not surprised by the East victory. I agree with Supersport the district this year is going to be crazy with a Marshall Co. blowout against Giles and just odd scores over and over each night. It seemed Loretto was going to be a force and then East walks in their and beat them and now looks like they could make some noise. I don't know how it's going to turn out, but I know it's going to be fun to watch. This district has never been this evenly matched, it was always Giles on top the last four years when I played and however many years before that.

Yeah, I say Loretto is got this one easy. I expected East to be a decent team, from what I was told, but they showed me nothing. They were just all out bad last night and the thing was is that LC played bad, East broke their press time and time again, but continued to throw the ball out of bounds or miss easy shots. I think that Clint Wright will have a field day in this game and Stout might too. But, Loretto by at least 15.

I have heard that East Hickman is a pretty good team, well I want to know what kind of record they have. Who are their best players, I just want to know what kind of team this is, some have told me that they are not that good and others have said that they will make a little noise in the district this year. Fill me in East fans, or others that have played them this year.

Lewis County has absolutely no confidence in their game right now, they had a couple of blowouts early against two bad teams. Now they have gotten into the tougher part of their schedule and there is no more open threes and no more wide open lay ups. The last 2 games the Panthers have been terrible from 3, I don't have any stats I just know from watching them that it has been bad. The one players that has been consistent is Kyle Tenison, he has been beat to death the last 2 games and both teams were going to make the guards beat them. Well, expect the same thing this week, LC will have to knock down a couple of 3s tomorrow night to loosin up that East Hickman defense, this game will be about heart for the Panthers. I didn't see alot of it against Summertown, well now it's sink or swim, LC needs for a Senior to step up and really show themselves as the leader of that team and as far as the coach goes, he is young and has only coached 4 games, but he has gotten better every game. Coach Jackson did a good job of calling timeouts, making substitutions, and just plain out coaching, but he was up against one of the best coaches in the state, in my mind Jackson has done his job now it's time for the players to step up and show me that they have the heart and will to be a great team, cause I know they have the talent.

This will be a great game, it always is. Loud crowd, rivalry game, and some hyped up players, this should be awesome. As everyone knows Summertown will come out ready to go, they always play great against LC and apparently played pretty good against Spring Hill last night. LC has to bounce back from last night and come out with some intensity, a couple of days of intense practice and they will be ready. It will be close and it will be nasty, lots of trash talking and even more fouling, so get ready it's going to be a fun one to watch.

This was a close game early, but late in the second half the physical play of Lawernce finally got to Lewis. L-Burg was really rough inside and out and after about 2 and a half quarters the Panthers broke down. They started to make turnover after turnover and the unselfishness you speak of Fire Walker didn't show up late in the game. Every player got frustrated and tried to win the game by themselves, the Panthers are still a little inexperienced in the leadership aspect and in the coaches aspect. This was just Coach Jackson's 3rd game and it was a learning experience, the Panthers will have 2 intense days of practice to prepare for Friday and I expect to see a different team Friday night against Summertown, if the boys can't get up for the game then they should just stay home. I don't know how many people have said it, I have heard people on the team, fans, and even one of the coaches say that the Panthers live and die by the 3 ball. Well, they died by it last night it cost them dearly, 1 pass and then shoot a 3 is not a good offense they need to get back to working the ball to get good shots. The biggest factor in the game last night was Lewis Co. not blocking out, the Wildcats got shot after shot in paint because you had one man trying to block out four, that doesn't work, everybody has to block out if LC does that they win last night and will be very sucessful throughout the season. Good luck to the Panthers Friday night against Summertown and Congrats to Lawerence Co. on a good win.

Giles Co. will always be the favorite in this district until someone knocks them off, they are always more athletic than any team in the district. I don't know about Marshall they lost by 3 to Culleoka and if you can't beat Culleoka I don't think you can beat Giles. You seem to have the same philosophy as Lewis Co., that you can outscore people instead of stop them. There is another part of the game it's called defense and unless you can stop them on offense then you can't beat them. For some odd reason people seem to be underestimating Giles Co. this year, I know everybody thinks that they will win the district, but everybody thinks they can beat them. Saying that you can score with them means nothing and is easier said then done. Giles Co. makes people turn the ball over, every time I played them in high school my coaches said limit turnovers and you can beat them, well, that is a huge task, because with their athletic ability and length it's hard to get the ball past that press. Giles will still be at the top.

I have no prediction on this game, because it could go either way. Lawrence Co. is always a tough team to play cause they play so hard and are very strong. Also, playing in that gym seems to be a challenge, they have a good crowd and open backboards that could affect LCs shooting. This is the first test for LC, so they will find out a little about themselves Tuesday night, let's just hope it's something good.

Okay, I didn't think he did, but that is always a possibility. Who is Loretto playing Tuesday? Besides Clint who is going to generate some offense on that team?

This game used to be very competitive, but in recent years it has been pretty lopsided. I don't think that Perry Co. has won a game in this rivalry in at least the last four years. Now, Perry Co. I think will bring their best game because this is a rivalry game and there should be a big crowd. We will see what happens, but I think LC can beat PC worse than what we did last year. I look forward to it cause I have played against PC many times and I always expect them to play as hard as possible no matter what. You're right about the last statement it as been very back and forth with blowouts and everything else, but that usually only lasts a couple of years. We are going into five years of LC dominating this game.

I believe that Loretto will have a decent team and will make a little noise in the district this year, but I still do not think that they have the skill or athletecism to compete for a district champiosnhip. Basically, they will go as far as Clint Wright will take them and I was told that he was not in the box scores for the other nights game. Did he quit or did he just not score?

For many, many years the LC vs. PC games were knock down drag out rivalry games its seems that in the last few years LC has began to pull out easy victories against PC. Last years LC beat PC by 40 in Perry County and I think by 30 in Lewis, are these games still rivalry games or have they just turned into an easy "W" for LC? Their next meeting is Tuesday and I have a feeling that this game will probably alot like last years, a blow out. Am I right or will PC suprise me with a talented team?

What a game?! That was the best high school football game I have ever been to. The crowds were rediculous. It was so loud and it just made the game so much better. Hickman County gained a ton of respect from me tonight, they showed how good they really are. I thought it was gonna be a good game for us whenever we got a good run on the first play, but we shot ourselves in the foot and killed the momentum and then HC took over from there. Great game HC and good luck. Great season for the Panthers, but I do believe that a little bit of a playbook change is in need. Time for basketball, at least it's inside and i won't freeze my butt off again

Yeah, it seems that way doesn't it. I don't know what gives them the idea that they will dominate, but I will be glad to see them get beat up this year.

This years senior class for LC is one of the biggest in like 4 years and they should be very talented, but still lack in size. This is the team that went to the state in 8th grade, but they know high school is a complete different thing than middle school. What I was takling about Loretto's coach is that the job got kind of thrown on him. Yes, he went to camp and everything with them, but from what I'm told they told him like a couple of weeks before practice started that he was going to have to coach. He may be a good coach and I expect Loretto to be a good team this year.

You could very possibly be right about Giles and Spring Hill being 1-2, but I think that the battle for that 2 spot will be a great one. Loretto might make a push it really depends on their big man, Lewis will be there with a very fast team that has the ability to beat you on the perimeter, but the key to them is Kyle Tenison scoring in the post, and the team that I think that can actually give Giles a run for their money is Marshall. They are gonna be big and that is what your gonna need against Giles Co. The key to beating Giles this year is stopping Creshaun Holt, I don't know if their is anybody in this district that can, but I guess we will find out, I expect Kyle to slow him down, but still if Coach Holt uses him right then nobody can stop him. Did Spring Hill just lose 1 player last year?

Well, the thing is about having a great shooting team is that you don't shoot lights out every night. Lewis Co. will probably be the same way, but they have a couple of kids that can mix it up down low. Let me tell you something about Giles Co., watching them play and playing them are two completely different monsters. Whenever you watch Giles you thing that you should be able to beat them easy, but when you get on the floor you experience first hand how quick and how much more athletic and skilled they are first hand. I want you to know that you have probably stumbled into one of the best 2A districts in Mid-Tennessee, the only one that is better is right across from yall with CPA, Lipscomb, and all those other teams. Don't run your mouth to much cause I know many coaches that will use this post to motivate a team or make a coach not let up whenever their beating you like a bunch of dogs. It will happen and Billy Holt will probably be the one to do it, he will not call them off if you run your mouth. Just watch what you say cause it will come back to bite you in the butt.

I don't know how good Centerville will be this year, they were pretty good last year, but they lost like 4 starters and 2 or 3 leading scorers. Don't bet on dominating the district that your going into, it is a very tough district. You will have to go through Giles Co., Lewis Co., Marshall, Spring Hill, and Loretto. Those are the top 5 in the district not in that order, but they are all tough and very athletic. Giles, Marshall, and Loretto have some good size, Lewis is just gonna be quick and will try to run you to death, and Spring Hill will probably be able to shoot you out of the gym, their guards can knock down the jumpers. I don't think Page or East Hickman have a chance to finish above 6. I don't really know if Hickman will be above 5, it is gonna be tough for every team this year. Everybody is a little more equal now, but Giles is still the favorite in my book.

Last year 10AA was won by Giles Co. once again, but Lewis Co. finally gave them a challenge for the first time in 4 years. Spring Hill were skilled with great shooters and one player that could score around the hole and knock down some jumpers, but they lost him, but still have some great shooters. Giles Co. will be good again, but will only be returning 2 of their starters granted those 2 starters were 2 of their best players the rest of their lineup will have little experience. Loretto will be the suprise of this district with Clint Wright leading the way for them the one thing that will really hurt them is not having a true coach, their coach is the band director who basically got thrown into the job. Lewis Co. should make some noise returning 4 starters, 2 of which were 2 of the leading scorers last year, they will be led by Kyle Tenison and Chance Helton, but will have contributions from Ethan Dye, Derek Duncan, and new starter Ryan Cates. The two things that will plague this team will be size and depth in the post, with Giles Co., Loretto, and Marshall Co.'s big men they will need more than just 1 or 2 posts a player that hasn't had much playing time his first few years, but will probably get a little time to relieve Kyle and Ethan will be Larry Nelson. Marshall Co. will be very good this year returning who I think their leading scorer and I hear that they have a new player that has been walking the halls, but has not been playing, I don't know if he is as good as everyone says he is, but I guess I will see when LC plays MC. The 3 teams that I think will round up the bottom of the district will be Page, Hickman Co., and East Hickman. Page is returning alot of players, but will still be down this year with just a lack of athletic ability, they have skill, but skill does nothing when you play athletic teams like Giles, Marshall, and Lewis and really athletic teams when you venture into the Regions. Hickman may make a little noise, but they lost alot of their better players, they will be fast, but that is all I know. East Hickman will most likely be at the bottom because they are a first year school and have not had time to develop their talent or a good system.

I don't know exactly how many people applied, but I know it was a lot. LC had originally hired a coach and I don't know what happened, but he decided he didn't want the job after he took it already. So, after all the interviews with the other coaches Coach Jackson finally put his application in and they hired him as the coach. This is Coach Jackson's first time being a head coach and will have his hands full with a very competetive district. He will have to find a way to help the boys overcome their lack of size. The one thing about this team is that they are extremely fast and will run most of their opponents down, but I don't know if that will work against a still very athletic Giles Co. team. Good luck to the Panthers this year, I hope you can finally de-throne Giles Co.

The new coach at Lewis County is Michael Jackson, he was the assistant coach for I think 5 years. He is taking over for Micah Rochester, who is now an assistant in Lebanon. The Panthers should be good this year, but will play in a very tough district with Giles Co., Marshall, Spring Hill, and Loretto. Plus the new editions of Hickman Co. and East Hickman, this district will be tough and should make some noise in the region this year which is going to be even tougher. The Panthers have 4 players returning that played alot of minutes last year, they return two of their leading scores plus a short guy that nobody seems to guard that tore some people up in the districts last year. Good luck Panthers, and if you lose to Perry Co. I'm disowning you all. As far as Qualls he did not coach at Lewis Co., I think he coached at Marshall, but I do know that he is a good coach.

Well, this game will not be a blowout, it will be a freakin slobber knocker. Everybody needs to stop the trash talking and let the boys do what they do Friday night. I'm pretty sure about 90% of the people talking on here are fans not players, it's good that you support your team, but don't run your mouth about how good your team is let them do it themselves at game time. I honestly know nothing about the Hickman County team, but I do know that the Panthers will be ready and look for my boy Kane Crowell to put on a show. I hope, and I really think they will, that Hickman brings a huge crowd, because I know how fun it was playing basketball against them last year over here and all those fans yelling and talking bad about me and my teammates made it that much more fun getting the victory. Go Panthers!!! And for the East fan(s) that have been posting keep your mouths shut before you make your beating worse than it's already going to be. You focus on your game this week and don't worry about this one.
