Its sad to know that something sad like this had to happen to actually show how close players and fans actually are. Many times we go to games yelling at players, coaches, refs, and sometimes the other fans seeming to be someone who we really ain't! I used to be one of those people who led the cheer section, but respectively we were one of the better ones who did it for the fun of it while not yelling vulgar things. But this has come to show me that the fans that make up this game are a lot kinder and generous than they seem to be. I hate that this had to happen to really show what kind of people actually sit in the stands week after week. I hope this was well stated, it was hard to try to put feelings to words here! May God Bless the families and friends affected by this!

Very sorry to hear this sad news! But the panthernation is praying for all involved!!!

The officiating was quite pitiful, but that was not why we got beat. Granted it would have helped us a lot, but our girls just did not show up to play at all. They have a lot of potential this year, but did not live up to it last night!

I myself and many others are greatly appreciative of this work that you do PageMan. It is a shame that the coverage of teams is soo limited to all the AAA schools up in Nashville. Last was probably 2 of the most exciting games in the state, but nobody will know about it if they weren't there. But thanks for the time and effort you put into all the work of gathering stats together. I also want to congratulate Giles co. on an awesome win, you flat more outplayed and outrebounded us and got the win. So congrats and Good Luck in the district finals.

I somehow seem to remember that Marshall only beat us by 5 pts the first time and 13 the second time, this score is easily overcomeable if we show up to play ball. So whoever shows up to play and hits their shots will come out on top. Should be interesting come tournament time,as we've seen anybody can win on any given night!

I agree with most people on here about Coach Holt, he never really has impressed me as a Coach but with the talent that he had it was about impossible to lose. But last night with 18 seconds left in the game and down by 6 points, Lewis county has the ball and they never foul. With time ticking and down 2 posessions YOU HAVE TO FOUL, you have to hope that he misses and you get the ball back and can score. So last night Coach Holt cracked under pressure and didn't know what to do, mainly because he was in the ear of the ref complaining but last night showed just how GREAT of a coach he was. I also apologize for the quote I put in the first forum, I didn't mean no harm but after the responses posted I removed it and apologize for posting it. Goodluck Panthers

I would like to start off by saying Congratulations to the Panthers, you came out and played your best ball all year in a game in which you outplayed, outlasted, and outcoached your opponet. Now having that said... After the game I heard grumbling from everybody on the Giles County side about the officiating. First off the officiating could have been a lot worse, The refs called about half of what they really should have, and Coach Holt should have been ejected early in the game. He never once stayed in the Coach's box except when he was pouting on the bench cause they were losing and he never shut up all night arguing at the refs, so feel lucky you got off the hook tonight. After the game when the teams lined up to shake hands, I happened to catch something. Mr. 24 Devon Holt "Daddy's Boy" wasn't shaking any of the other teams hands. How classless is this? You got beat so get over it, when you have no more respect than that, not to shake the opponets hands, you have no reason to be playing ball, daddy's boy or not. When you get beat you congratulate the other team and hope to beat them next time. Show a little respect. Also I noticed the Coach Holt went into the Ref's locker-room after the game to whine and complain....SHUTUP!! You don't know how much they let YOU off with tonight, you have no right to go in there after the game to complain. If yall's lips hung any lower to the ground after the game, you would have tripped on them on the way to the bus.

why would they tell you who to look out for Friday night. How stupid would that be. Do some scoutin, watch film or something, don't ask who to look out for. You may find out Friday night, that Hickman county has more than one man to look out for. I hope Hickman county beats you to a pulp.

I hope it ain't a close game but I gurantee one thing it won't be by three points!!! Coach Sharp kick a field goal, ARE YOU CRAZY!!!! We played a team a few weeks back in the fourth quarter with like 10 seconds to go and up by like 30+ pts. 4th down, this would have made a perfect time to instill some confidence within the kicker (who I know has a foot) but no we go for it. So if we win it will have to be by 6 or more points.

Dear frogleg I hate to inform you but the refs actually helped mt.p, if you noticed your two scores came after 2 personal fouls on LC, so I don't wanna hear it. And the hard hitting going to mt.p I dont think so, Im pretty sure LC laid more licks than mt.p and if you don't think we can hit that hard just look at the scoreboard for yall's game and the wayne county game tonight. Ill let that do the talkin.

I've never seen marshall counties fans, everytime we play them at lewis county, theirs usually nobody there, but if they're worst than giles counties then thats pretty bad. But I am cheering for you spring hill, ya'll deserve it more than marshall county does. You played your butts off against us and came up a little short, so goodluck tonight. Goodluck Panthers

So norespect when did you become an english major? Or should I ask does Giles county even have any english majors? I would be suprised if you even make it through high school english with a grade higher than an "F". Im suprised you can even spell English, or did you have to ask your momma to come in there and help you write that post. So shut up!!!!!! And truthfully you deserve NO RESPECT. And if I were you I would probally stay at home tonight so you don't have to run home crying to your momma because lewis county beat you!!

I will have to admit that spelling brokeback mountain wrong was pretty funny, but good anyways. And as for the giles county fans ya'll do yell some pretty rude stuff as for instance last night yelling "inbreed" and "STD" that to me is saying no class. As for us here in lewis county we try to keep it pretty clean b/c we have a lot of younger kids sitting and yelling with us. Don't take me wrong b/c i love to yell at the games and will be pretty loud but for monday night lets keep it clean and have a fun game. Good Luck Panthers
