Hey 7a good to see ya the other night, this was a good one, when i got there i thought ok LA is going to win this one JC was down by 10 or more and I said well I havent seen JC or LA play but heard alot about JC and the freshmen hitting those three's..lol..and how well LA was playing. I knew it was going to be interesting. It looked like LA got a lil tired and got sloppy at the end and JC needs to pick up the def a lil and man what a game. This one comes close to the game when Misty hit that 3 at the buzzer game to beat LA or overtime one cant remember..getn old lol..Maybe i see ya at a game or two This adventure of owning your own business cut into my ballgames lol..

I Unfortunately did not get to go to this game but I did listen to it. Congrats to the lady blue devils and especially to Laken for achieving her 3000 pts in her high school career....Good Luck to You girls..Play Hard......

Thats what this board is for. I just tried to explain that CR has a team full of Talent and spread the ball, thats why stats for those players don't add up. Trying to give these girls a pat on the back without taking away from LL. When i read that then seen LL won the state tourney statement on here got under my skin just a lil, well a whole lot. Talent is Talent and by far never have I or will I say LL didn't deserve MS. BBall, but I will say they are some talent just as good or better that don't get reconigtion. Can you understand what I am saying I mean no disrespect. I just think when you look at it from some other point of view you can see some things different. Coach, I was at every game we played CR last year and we never beat the stuffings out of them, it was nailbiting down to the end. It very easily could have went the other way with a drop of a bucket. It didn't and JC held on and rallied their way to state. CR deserves respect for thier accomplishments too! lol LL has been lucky enough to have a great set of parents to take her and see that she has had chances that some have not had the chance or the means to do so. If the shoe was on the other foot you might think the same, just saying some feel different than you cause you are close. I know you feel compelled to defend and I would probably too, well heck I have, but you got to see the whole picture. First off, make sure you understand I know LL and her family and like and respect them, Just want to make a correction in your post, I have made this statement once before YOU WIN AS A TEAM AND YOU LOSE AS ONE! LL did not win the state last year her team did! If people would learn one kid no matter how good they are can not do it by themselves it is a team effort. LL and KC would not stand out if they where not surrounded by great players on their team.... I believe Bud and coach would agree. Miss Basketball awards are awarded on individual Stats and the one with the better stats gets the award or thats the way I understand forgive me if I am wrong. They are plenty of well deserving Young Ladies from all over the state. Cr teams is fortunate to have more than most that can carry their weight and in this case it spreads the stats thin for these girls. As I am sure they are others in the state with the same. CR has a team full of Miss Basketballs. So, you got to ask yourself is this fair, should it be on stats...? Its the way its done, for a reason.Team award is the Gold or silver Balls. Ms Basketball I think is a great thing for an individual to recieve it shows hard work and dedication from one individual. Congrats to LL and wish KC the best in furthering her career in BB. It bothers me for someone to say one team mate won state! Team Players is what it takes. Thats what JC had Last Year!!

KC is no doubt and exceptional player, love to watch her play. I wish KC the best in continuing her career in Basketball. I have no doubt she will do well. Far as LL take a look at the stats and give credit when credit is due, she deserves respect for her job as well as anyone. She is a great ball player. As far as Kc being the best you should have said one of the best cause class A has several ball players that can hang with either of these canidates and didn't get nominated. Look at CR got a team full of talent but spread the ball so stats don't look good on paper, but i consider them one of the best too! Don't knock LL for her accomplishments by saying KC was the best. I think they all deserve the title the best. It takes several team mates to make the one look good. So do you give all of them the title Miss Basketball, wish you could cause alot of them have worked harder than these two girls and don't get any reconigtion. These two girls have natural talent and make it look easy where others love the game and have to work harder to make thier talent show. My hats off to all the lady basketball players for it takes a team of talent to make it and several teams made it. congrats to all!!

Congrats LA!!! Had to listen to the game in the parking lot at work and people thought I was nuts, they thought I was yelling go kill her at somebody!! LOL I was having fun routing KILLLER on lol.. I had a feeling Taylor was going to have a good game, she stepped up and did a great job. Mac Sells was one to make a diference. Sell's is a great ball player and will be even better as she goes forward! Now we need to get them all hot at once and have fun!! Most people know that at any given time that any team can be beat. Tuesday, your team might have been the best of whom ever you last played(Upperman). Wed. they where not the better team. I haven't kept up with to much ball this year due to circumstance beyond my control, so i have had to rely on rumors and thats what I call them till I see for myself. The hype that LA couldn't get past McMinn Central was all I was hearing. I had to make it to the boro to see this team that beat Upperman and was predicted to beat LA. I have watched these two teams for years and know alot of these kids that play personally. I Just had to see this team of yours that was going to slay both of our teams from upper cumberland. There is one thing that McMinn Central forgot to add to their playbook and that was the play that you try to run to change the atmosphere that LA and Upperman both brought to the boro with them. Yea, you beat Upperman and was trying your darndest to beat LA. These two teams might be rivals on the floor, but a lot of these kids play together elsewhere and some are good friends. LA showed up to play last night with Upperman fans in the stands supporting LA players so that we can represent our district and show how we come together and slay the so called McMinn Central Giant. MMC, no doubt has tremendous talent, mistakes were made and the biggest one was under estimating their opponent. If your the best, you finish what you started. You keep saying your not putting LA down, but in your post that Upperman was by far the better team of them and LA. That MMC would beat LA 9 out of ten times. I myself was surprised that LA didn't beat MMC worse, cause they didn't play as well as I have seen them play. I also have seen them play worse. What it comes down to its a game thats what its all about it who plays the game better when it counts. I hope you are not being blind to the talent that LA has, they do have talent.Did ya see sells I think hit how many 3ptrs in a row? After the first two i think i would be wondering who was guarding her. That's what we call DEFENSE!! Which MMC lacked. Are ya trying to say the worst teams are going to win? Some folks don't know these girls, there is talent all the way around just not with one or two girls it takes a team to win and that's what LA did last night came together as a team and Won. It was a hard fought battle but they didn't give up. If these girls play as the team they did last night. They will bring home the Gold! It has took all year for them to get their wits about them and understand it takes the team to play ball. You win as a team and Lose as one. They have lost thier share so lets get with it girls and finish what you started. There is no feeling like Having that gold ball for the determination and the sacrifice that you have made through it all. I hope you girls get that chance to know this. It is within your reach.
