  1. I'm sure there were plenty of teams in the tournament that would have loved a go at the Owls if not already given the chance. I don't understand why a semi's opponent couldn't be brought up to play the Owls in the championship game. Its not like it was a huge secret D-B wasn't gonna play in the final. I'm sure Ooltewah would have been more satisfied with their title after ACTUALLY winning it.
  2. Indian has a point and couldn't have said it better...
  3. I'm afraid after Friday night DB is 1-1, not 2-0
  4. Congrats to Central's big win over Dobbyn's Bennet tonight... final 6-4...looks like Central will have quit a few more highlights this year...
  5. Central shuts down D-B for six innings... Johnathan Lafoe got the win... Final Score was 6 to 4 Pounders
  6. Stone??? Has a poor attitude and not much of a power hitter, he spreads his hits out all over the field but he is more of a slapping, hit and run guy...Definitely doesn't throw upper 80's, low 80's if that... Pretty good ballplayer I've kept up with him the past couple years...
  7. Who does ooltewah have in their pool... I"m sure the toughess pool will be the one with Dobyns Bennet, Lookout Valley, Chatt Central and Gordon Lee...Who does ooltewah play???
  8. I heard the Central - Ooltewah game was a close one... Anyone got any details???
  9. Not trying to disagree with Grad because he knows what hes talkin about and I"m sure he is accurate...I see it more like this 1. Red Bank T-2. Ooltewah T-2. Central 4. Soddy Daisy
  10. You'll find a bunch of select summer ball teams in the Chatt/North Georgia area... I'd say the Chattanooga Cyclones is as good as it gets around here...They do 18s 16s and even 14s i think...
  11. Doc Crowe will be starting behind the plate this year... Good bat, average arm, pretty solid catcher... Good team leader
  12. Yeah i don't know about Red Bank having (the best) of a pitching staff...the only two that stand out for the lions are the leftys, who are dominate...anyother player on the mound for RB are perfectly hittable... don't get me wrong I believe their bullpen can be successful if they can keep their studs on the mound late in the game...The definition of an awesome pitching staff i'd half to say is Walker Valley... they have numerous kids that can pitch...but lets get back to 6-AAA for now...
  13. Hes underrated but Jordan Dean out of Dalton High School can absolutely mash, 6'3'' around 210 pounds...saw him playin for Koontz last fall...Also throws about 89 off the mound, this kid is impressive
  14. A small district but an exciting one, as far as I know this year will be the most competitive between all four teams. Soddy suffers the big loss of seniors, but don't count them out yet they have a good program. Owls are supposed to be dominate as usual... Red Bank has a strong offensive line up and their two lefty meatballers Barret and Ward... And Central has 8 returning seniors, impressive juniors at short and center, and a 2nd year coach that is really turning things around... Any other outlooks on 6-AAA matchups?
  15. I got to see Bledsoe last weekend and they kicked it around a little...if I had to guess I'd put Sequatchie on top for the Valley side and Hixson on top for the Mountain side...
