I found the other game on slate for tomorrow as Obion County & Westview on here somewhere, but ............ that still doesn't tell me a whole lot ! I know I wish I could be there for the "Third Round of D.C. & Dyersburg" ! That's for sure ! Anyone know who played today & the scores / results ? As I understand it Crockett County was to play today but I have no clue as to who ! Beavo how about it ? Do you have the "lowdown" on any of this ? I'd love to see the brackets ! ;{)

Should be a great District tournament. Playin ' for "all the marbles"always makes things interestin' ! Regular season counts for "squat" now ! Dyer County is in the "Driver's Seat" in 13 AA. Playin' pretty good baseball IMO ! Hitting the ball well & generally pretty "salty" defense as well. Pitchin' depth is good up & down the rotation. Most of the team has been there .......... done that ........ so Im thinkin' chances should be good, but ............ I don't make predictions. I have no idea, but it's a "pick your poison" if either are on their "A-Game" !Throw in Austin Crisp & others as well. The Trojans have got some depth in their rotation too !

Derrick has been nursing a sore arm. Might have come back a little soon, but he is a competitior & can't stand not bein' on the hill. I'm not the coach & DO NOT second guess P.O. or any of his decisions, but I wouldn't be surprised if Derrick (Sims) doesn' get some rest. I hate it for him in his Senior year, but it ain't worth more severe damage to an already sore arm ! Hang in there "D'Rock" ! We need you come "Tourney Time" !

He was also an Assistant Football Coach @ D.C. ! The ONLY Assistant Coach at the time !We didn't have near as many (Assistant Coaches) "Back In The Day" as they do now ! I remember Coach Tippett well ! Fine fellow in my book ! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Great Coach ? Look @ the numbers ! If I'm not mistaken .................... give him credit for another "Gold Ball" I beleive he was the Assistant Coach when D.C. won the Class A State Championsip in football way back in 1973 ! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I heard (just hearsay & not dissin' the Trojans at all) that it was a part of the CRP ........................... "Counce Return Package" ! I also heard about the indoor practice facility. That would seem to be more in line with what a Head Coach would request in a negotiation to me. Best of luck with any & all ! Any improvement to Dyersburg / Dyer County is progress ! I don't know what it will bring insofar as an area "venue" but .......... can't hurt !

Rest assured one thing, Coach McCord is very much in control ! I guess you cold find a lot of your "complete teams" that were sitting as spectators at the Tournament. Since they only lost 3 starters from last season I susupect that you are accurate re: the strength of this ball team. Sadly I haven't been there for any action this season (I MISSED very little last season) or the one before !
