Polk needs to figure out how to get a passin game going if they expect to win big. Saw this on another thread you just can't make up your mind who the worst team is in Bradley Co.. I never said Polk was dominating, I think those words came from your Kool Aid drinking buddy's describing Central's defense. Going to the playoffs for eight straight years gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Since you don't really have a team I guess the only warm fuzzy feeling you get is when soil your Depends!

Charlie Murphy you hit the nail on the head. How could anyone leave that game and think either team done a great job on offense or defense? Let's see Cleveland had 18 penalties for 110yds and some of you think Central's defense was dominating! Cleveland had to use their timeouts just to get players in the correct position, the quarterback and receivers were definitely not on the same page some throws were not even in the vicinity of a receiver and others that was on target was dropped, the QB was 8-27 and the game plan never changed. blitzinbuc, As for who Polk has played this year? I can tell you they played a lot better team than Central played Friday. In the Bradley/Polk game there were 5 penalties the entire game...Cleveland had 7 in the first quarter. Anyone with common sense can see who played the better team just by looking at the stats but I saw both teams play, you have only seen Bradley in a scrimmage which they won IIRC...maybe you need to lay off the Kool Aid! BTW as for the bet I will not take money from an old blind guy!

I am just going to say it again Central beat a very, very bad team! Take it however you want, if you think it was because Central is that good...well that's your opinion.

Impressive and great game is not how I would have described it, we must have watched a different game. How many penalties did Cleveland have? My guess is they had more yards in penalties than rushing yards and maybe even total yardage. I will not even try to explain how bad Cleveland is. I am not bashing Central but this Cleveland team is in for a long, long year. Where is blitzinbuc? If he wants to bet on Cleveland and Bradley, I will take Bradley and bet the farm!

you can't set here and tell me central could have blown polk out of charger stadium last year! you are right the weather did have an affect on polks play...but it affected central more! central had speed that was taken away from them! the weather did polk because they were slow to begin with!!!! a lot worse? what was the score of polk's first round game? wasn't it a two touchdown game? central got beat 28-14.........you talk about the past an awful lot not to care about it!!!! just keep looking through you red tinted glasses smokey04... should of, would of, could of, but you didn't and you never will. Coach Davis is too good at prepping his defense, you had that same speed two years ago but had to come from behind to get the win. Polk may not have the best athletes but they have heart and are well coached. Actually in the first round game it was 7-7 until late in the 4th quarter and Polk had a chance to tie but ended up losing 14-7. No red tinted glasses here I said last year we would lose to Central. I will never say we are going to blow someone out... unlike you Blue Kool Aid drinkers who thought Central was state bound last year. Yeah smokey that's what you and the blue kool aid drinkers would like to think about last years game. I suppose the weather had no affect on Polk's play. How far did Central make it...the exact same as Polk well you got beat a little worse IIRC a lot worse actually. If it had just not rained we would have done this, well you could say if Polk doesn't score at the end of the game two years ago Central loses. I could care less about the last two years or or the seven yrs before when Central couldn't play dead. New year and both teams are somewhat different than last year! Good luck Friday. I think TheOldScout is saying that Polk will win and it could be a close game. smokey04, by you saying its too close to call you really mean if Central beats Cleveland you will pick Central but if they lose your going with Polk. Did I read between the lines right on that comment? blitzinbuc, I will take Polk +14 if you think Central will win this one easily like last year. Sounds like Stoney dogs or BBQ time again for me. I was referring to Josh coaching but was saying that I know the family and have been a friend of Chad's for a long time not saying we talk everyday. Well, for those who don't know #7 is family of Coach Goodin and Masingale for MC. He is a great kid, and big reason that McMinn took this game. There was no ill intentions involved. 6+4=3, I know that you have always had a problem with the discipline at MC (the Derrick era). I disagreed sometimes with your view sometimes and agreed a lot. This is a new and wonderful era, I could not have been more proud of the reserve and class that was shown by the Chargers. This is due to all the coaching staff. This will come in to play when things are not going so well. If we would have lost this game by 20 I would not have been more proud of the discipline I witnessed Friday night. I know the Goodin family and have been friends with Chad for a long time. I believe he will do a fine job. I meant nothing towards his coaching abilities or discipline. I just thought it was funny after watching the players and fans act this way for the last two yrs or the Derrick era that a fan would complain.

Let me get this straight. A Central fan is complaining about a McMinn player taunting the fans. Where have you been for two years.

After our defense settled down it was lights out. I know those kids were nervous playing in front of what... 5,000 people and a 0-line that averaged 260#. Heck even I felt throwing up before the game I was so nervous but this will get them ready for Central week after next. Again good luck Bradley!

Way to have some class. Good luck to Bradley as well, they just ran out of gas halfway through the second quarter. I was expecting a undisciplined team from what I had heard and read but was pleasantly surprised, they let their frustrations show on the one third down play but that was it. Great game!
