let me return a bit of your sarcasm to you: 1daddy, master of basketball and elementary school science, bestow your great wisdom upon us...............crap you aren't telling the whole truth. a football game isn't all that has been dropped, my sources tell me that leon called the other day and cancelled with unaka elementary. you were in on this pretty heavy and now your doing the "middle of the road shuffle", but beware,- the encore to that little number is usually "the fence straddlin' blues". and by the way, you never did enlighten me on the conspiracy question i asked you to elaborate on several days ago. you like to start things and then bow out don't you? fine by me... this is just one of those things that is going to take a little time and then people will eventually be okay. these things just take time. i think that everyone just needs to get how they feel off of their chests, stop blocking, and then the healing process can begin, and that's what we all need, right? so everyone repeat after me: my name is _________(fill in your name), and i am a coacht-a-holic. now doesn't that feel better? now can't we all just get along? nahhh. arguing is so much more fun isn't it? there sure is a lot of drama on this page. i love it.

creekside, i never said everyone knows who tdog is. i think that was the "no spin" guy. i have a hunch who he is, but i have to agree with krich on this one,- everyone keep posting because it's a wonderful thing. this is a great site. you keep up the good work, too, creekside. ya just gotta love this.

tdog, what do you mean about the announcing at the ballgames? twinetickler seemed to assume that you were referring to announcing at other schools, while my first impression is that you are talking about the announcing at unaka. which is it? we need to get this cleared up. confusion leads to chaos.

i think it is somewhat regrettable for two county schools not to play in any sport, however, this is outweighed by the fact that a head coach who is trying to turn a program must have the authority to make out a schedule that HE feels is best for his team. i think that to eliminate the basketball series as a result of this would be in poor, ill-advised judgement because it is truly a competitive rivalry, which we have not had recently on the football side. and i think that is what people need to realize: good rivalry requires competition. i know that unaka and hampton have played football for years and years, but most folks don't remember when the competition was fierce. (and i am not knocking anyone here, just trying to dismantle the argument that unaka should have to keep playing hampton because of "rivalry".) but we do have rivalry on the court, and i don't think that anyone wants to see that come to an end, nor do i think that i can be justified. i hope cooler heads prevail, and i feel that they very well may because i don't think anything has been cancelled as of yet. if it has i haven't heard about it.

i think that an elizabethton unaka matchup would be a great thing for carter county, and i have never once heard a compelling reason as to why it can't happen. nevertheless, it seems to be just a distant dream, something that the folks in town just won't take seriously. the crowds would be great, and the gate would be huge. and the basketball would be great, too. so i ask again,- why the heck not?? it's a short drive and i'm sure the rangers would meet you at your place. mountains, rivers, valleys, even oceans aren't too much of an obstacle. i'm sure that they can find their way to TOWN!! think about it

after all this time a thread is named after old hablo. 1daddy, the conspiracy of which you speak is foreign to me. therefore, i will have to put the ball back in your court on this one. i try not to talk about things of which i know nothing. but i do know this: there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll. that i can assure you. YOU'LL HAVE TO ENLIGHTEN ALL THE CREEKERS ON THIS ONE. as for the donald ensor unicoi murmurings that i reported hearing a couple of weeks ago, i have heard nothing else. in fact, i understand that english is the head man there now, so i guess all bets are off,- to the relief of everyone on the creek

i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the disturbing rumor that i've been hearing that coach ensor may be departing the creek and heading for erwin. has anyone else heard this? i hate to start rumors or perhaps be the bearer of bad news, but i just have to know. what's going on here?

chad lewis, a 5' 8" sophomore from unaka does an outstanding job behind the plate. i have had a couple of opportunities to see him in action. he blocks the plate well, calls a good game, and has thrown many runners out. not bad for his first year as a catcher.
