Jar-head is a very good player with a bright future .. He can play the game. I'm sure he will do very well and be a stand out in our District. You know as well as I do that the there is a differents in a freshman and Senior.. It would not surprise me if by the time he's a senior that every SEC team is knocking at his door... What I like is he's down to earth and a very nice youn man. Both him and Matt are..

I have to disagree with you on the Shaw statement Ryne Rayburn has come along way this past summer and right now Shaw Matt A. and Ryne will be tough to beat. Central had 5 freshman that helped them get to the sectionals, and they are still there.. Yes they are Bigger, stronger, and faster.. This isn't 15u against 15u . Glad to see the Mexican back.

I feel the same way. They have a core group of kids that work real hard and they know what it takes to win.. Don't get me wrong Polk has a real good team. I will cheer for them when they are not playing Central.

We will see how they do ... The Allen kid will help his a good player. Make sure Frankie keeps the books and I'm sure they will have a good year

Hows it going to benefit Polk? 1st and 2nd place teams got a bye into the double elimination part of the tournament.. The only way it would benefit any of the teams is if they didn't play during the Regular season. I know it made room for Central to play some better teams in the area to help get them ready for Polks pitching staff..

Glad to see you back Old Warhorse... Polk has some good pitching don't count them out.. 2 pitcher are going to or already have signed with Chatt. State. The only problem I see is if they can score runs.

I heard their catcher transferred to LFO . He was 1 of the best in this area. who else left? Why did they leave? If this is true, I guess polk has a easy rode.. Funny how things workout.. Who was the master mind behind the split??

League play is just to seed the teams in the tournament. I wasn't at the meetings when they decided to split the league , so I don't know why it was done.. It does look like Polk will benefit with the split, but who knows what will happen. Boyd might be better then everyone thinks. I'm not sure how the tournament bracket is layed out, so who knows who will benefit from the split. This should be a very interesting year..

Polk has good pitching and The freak Meadows in the middle of Meigs Co. line up they should be tough. With 8 starters back for Central this should be the year they make a run to the boro.

That had to be the roughest game ever played at the Roundhouse. I think 7 players fouled out and 4 or 5 players had 4 fouls each. Speaking of the roundhouse when did we change the name to the "Charger Dome"??

I remember that game. That was the game McNutt came off the the bench in over time when 2 of the freshman had fouled out.. That was also the game Rayburn scored 16 points in the last 3 min. and in overtime.. That was the 1st time Central had beaten Cleveland in 4 or 5 years. I say Cleveland by at least 15 each time they play.. The Davis girl is the best post player this area has seen in years..
