  1. no bunch has never thrown for them only that whalen kid and their ss....plus all the guys they bring in for relief, none of their great pitchers not to say they wouldnt hit bunch but it wouldnt be a 16 run game. and it would be pretty close with #7 or leach on the mound. and im not taking anything from rockwood im just sayin that the teams they will play at state have d1 calliber players and are just not ceptible to errors, look at oz last year, they killed everything in their path.....come time for state they played well and a close game but the ultimate outcome was defeat thats all im sayin
  2. because everyone hits for rockwood....its just not fair
  3. the best pitchers in the district are like this. 1.leach - oz 2.cooper - rockwood 3.#7 - oz(not many have seen him because of grades but what ive seen against kingston and others he is amzing) 4.daughtery - the burg 5.hawn - sunbright hitters 1.daughty - rockwood 2.allen - rockwood 3.newberry - coalfield 4.bunch - oz 5.1st base - sunbright
  4. who is better, who will win this thursday, can the springs play like they are capable. will sunbright come ready or blow it like they did against wartburg, will this be a pitchers duel(probably) or will it be a runs game, will it be a blow out, will sunbright hit leach again or will he bring his stuff he has shown over and over or will they have to call on the new stud #7 who pitched a great game against kingston, which is where im from. there is a lot of talk about this game, and it decides everything for the two teams, mainly who will play rockwood for the region title and top two andvance which means great chances for back to back state trips for an os team who lost there game for so long and finally has found it again. tell me what you thinkg

    Coalfield

why are we talking about coalfield...they are truly terrible....they cant hold ther own in the district much less in other talented areas....age means nothing by the way...if your a senoir or a sophmore freshman or junior...either you can play or you cant its a gift you cant pick it up and become great. no agreed that a senior mentally is gonna or should be smarter than a freshman but lets get real oliver springs lost 7 of their nine startes and they are first in the district...youth expirience its all the same, you cant wake up and start smaking the ball it takes work. i heard that coalfield started practicing a week before the season started and in a gym....when are people gonna quit talking about them talkin about the springs a or sunbright teams that are good and have a chance
  6. rockwood has a great hittimg team, but once they play teams like summertown and such they wont be able to hit there way to victory....not to say that there d is weak but ive played against them and they only have one true pitcher thats gonna be able to hold off summertown and teams from middle tennessee...they might get a win in the first round but even that is doubtful, if the had coach lane i would say they could get a win at state but probly not now....from that region i think it will be oliver springs and rockwood both making it to state....oliver springs has some nice nice pitching...probly got two if the best pitchers in the state and a kid named bunch who will get the job done....they are a streaky hitting team so there pitching always keeps them in it, now i know i sound oz fan but in fact i hate them...im from kingston and i played against there second best pitcher #7....and he had a no hitter until the 4th....we beat rockwood so that tells you how good we are, and dont forget they have leach in front of him, they are great when they pitch and very good when bunch takes the mound. but we will see
  7. there is a good pitcher for rockwood dont know his name, wartburg has one guy thats good but he is all theyve got. oliver springs has leach and # 7 is really really good....someone told me he is another one of those raby's he is great. there are a few others out there....give me your thoughts
  8. which brown, there are a lot...and the best hitters in the region are from rockwood then there is bunch and leach from os, leach when he is right i have been to 5 or 6...he really hasnt shown me anything this year but we all know his glove and arm are there
  9. oz could make it back to state top two in region advance sub - state will be a weak opponet, we will see if they play there cards right
  10. oz seems to be the team that nobody was considering, watch out for them. they have a guy #7 he looked good against kingston along with bunch, now it wont be leach that has to win everygame with his arm....they seem to have found to other guys that can get it done and then some. but we will all know when they play sunbright thursday...biggest game of the year for this district and region
  11. #7 for oliver springs, he is new to the team, i went up against him and his curve goes at your head and breaks to mid thigh no lie the kid is pretty good, he pitched against kingston and threw a no hitter till the 4th inning he gave up 3 earned runs to a team that beat rockwood....rockwood bea os 16 to zip, this was his first start of the year... he joinded late due to grades, need i say watch out for this kid
