I think that the bulldogs are coming around now . They are just young and making inexperienced mistakes. They are getting the much needed experience the hard way , they are working and earning it the hard way with close ballgames like the one tonight. Pujo, I cant remember what style of offence they run, do you? That will probably be alot of the determining factor for Hampton. I think our defence is getting better, but they still need some work in certain areas.

Hampton cant overlook anyone at this point this year. They are improving with every game but they are stiill are not where the need to be "yet". I am proud of where they have come from in the begining, but there defence is still in need of some work. I would say they will be much more improved in a couple of more games. Yes they will win. The coaches are trying to get them in the right possitions to make the tackles, blocks, and runs. They just need to listen and execute with more precision and technique, I guess it just comes down to they need more experience, and they are getting it quickly, but painfully. Im pretty sure that Jellico will more than likely feel their wrath this friday. Lets get back on the gridiron and play ball the way I know we can DAWGS.

The dogs need to do a gut check. I know their first 2 games were more than challangeing, but they cant lay down . I think they may be a little spoiled with all the wins this past few years as well as the fans, but its time for some senior leadership or (junior leadership if the seniors cant do it). Boys I am asking you to become men and step up to the challange and get a heart and some guts. Adversity is testing your character, will you guys lay down or will you step up and show what your made of. I know all of you guys very well and you know me, and I know you can pull things togeather if you get your minds in the right place ( women dont just weaken legs they weaken your mind also ) there is a time and place for everything, and during FOOTBALL SEASON you should be concentrating on football !!!!!!!!!!! You have 4 seasons of football and the rest of your life for women trust me you will wish you spent more time pushing yourself to be a better ball player, because when its over ( its over ), just ask the men that are know watching from the fence, wishing they could go back . Dont be one of the ones wishing you would have tried harder. Take those constructive critisims ( cussing from the coaches ) like a man and do what you are told, because they are right and know what they are doing. We are all human and make mistakes, but if you keep making the same mistakes you are not listening. Our team will get better, I know this because your manhood is being challanged !!!! I would like to commend the bulldogs on a great game. The coaches have done a good job getting basicaly a whole new team ready for a new year. I think every one was starting to count them out, but they showed everyone they are not to be overlooked. It was not a win but a moral victory. We will improve even more as the experience comes. when we get our defenceive ends and linebackers adjusted we will be o.k.. I think JC went to the jambore and saw some pass coverage mistakes and thought they would do the same. Logan Andrews knocked one down, Adam Taylor knocked 4 passes down, and Bret Price intercepted one. Great job guys and keep up the great work . North Green had alot more players out this year and they had quiet a bit of size. They just need a bit of work. They looked scared of our 6'3" 270lb. linebacker who was destroying their quaterback, he decided to let the back-up give it a try. Our boys need alot of work also, they are having a problem remembering assignments, but that will come with time this summer. I think our success has become a tradition because our boys are working very hard to keep it that way. They know that being on top means everyone wants to knock them off. Getting to the top of the region is hard but staying there is even harder.

If Oneida gets their offense close to the level their defense is at they will definately win their region. If not midway could come out in first place, with coalfield in third.

Sulivan North called and cancelled the scrimmage for Monday due to TSSAA rules about only having 2 scrimmages in spring .

Exactly who do you think will win? You seem to have all the answers there . Give us your top 5 in region 1 1a.

Hey pujo did you go to johnson county and watch cloudland play last friday? If you did what do you think about either team? I know johnson county looked pretty tough, and cloudland was having a hard time putting things togeather. I know its still early

I heard the dawgs have a scrimmage with North Green this Friday at Hampton. I was told it is going to be a J.V. scrimmage by one person and a Varsity scrimmage by another. I guess it may be both? If someone else knows just post it.

Do you know anything about the transfers? Im pretty interested to see how they will do at the scrimmage since they will be playing basicaly a whole new team. I know Mike will have them ready for next season, he is just that kind of coach. I have had alot of the kids working out with me since football season ended , I just hope they keep it up this summer . They all need the strength and size. Pretty talented bunch of kids just not very big.

Spring practice is supposed to start on May 5th . I think we are scheduled for a three way scrimage, the coaches told me who but I forgot. Hey Pujo did Mike tell you who yet?

I would like to see Cloudland come and compete with us also. I hear they have been working pretty hard? Science Hill brought alot of competition, some good sized boys ,but I thought they would be stronger. Johnson county is a very strong bunch no dought they have been working very hard, and congrats to them on there turn out and there win.

I stayed until the end. Johnson county came in first place, Hampton second, David Crocket came in third. Hampton would have done a whole lot better if we could get more of them to participate. I am proud of the ones who did though. Here are some of the results from Hampton. Brandon Knight 1st 114 lb. and below. Adam Taylor 1st place 148 lb . Brandon Hodges 3rd place 135lb. Luke Blackmon 2nd place 160 lb. Cody Maden 3rd place super heavy weight. I think that is all but if I missed anyone from hampton someone else may remember. GOOD JOB GUYS and stay in the weight room.
