  1. I guess you did not read the Chattanooga times free press Sunday N.D.was one of the favorite to do very well this year so put your pipe away.

Maybe you got a different version of the paper sunday then me, but I didnt see any predictions posted anywhere on how well teams were going todo. They had a nice article about Tommy Fox coming back to ND and if he gets to play in the games then yes id say they will do well forsure....

  2. Just watch and learn you will see I know talent and heart.Ask Watley he'll tell you about Kemp.

Ive seen him walk off the court during a JV game and go to the lockeroom while the game was still being played.....Thats all i needed to see of him....Get in his head and he is done......Not a good characteristic of the best PG in the city......

  3. Well here we go I know we are on the same side but you are nuts Temple will more and likely take this game Watley has already call to make an excuse that his player football season was longer than our but we still love him.

Ben very stong in the paint,J-rod if he,s there to play he is dangeris,J Kemp will be the best P.G> in the city hardest worker I know,J Sexton one of the city best "yea right"one of the states best.Watley is smart, but if he box and two Jeremy it's over, the other guys will eat him alive.

Best PG in the city, that has yet to see real minutes in a Varsity game?

  4. Just some more info TTA beat Rhea county so bad today, there coach said Temple was the best ball team in this city again this year call him for your own info. Also they hammerd N-Dame today also. You guy better think to far ahead you've got to get by the Crusaders first.Just some more info TTA beat Rhea county so bad today, there coach said Temple was the best ball team in this city again this year call him for your own info. Also they hammerd N-Dame today also. You guy better think to far ahead you've got to get by the Crusaders first.

Congrats to TTA on beating the TWO POWERHOUSES Rhea County and Notre Dame in Scrimmages.....Get me TTA's players ring sizes and ill go ahead and order the championship rings for you.... /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  5. I was told by one of the players that Jarod was a junior. An assisstant coach told me, and I hope I repeat it correctly, that he is from Alabama, and that he came to Chattanooga to live with Brandon Andrews' family (relatives of his) after his mother was activated in the military. I also heard, from an AAU ref, that he's a beast in the middle. I hope he's right, Temple's got some big holes to fill there.

Is he the one that got two fouls in the first two minutes of the game? If so he could do alot of watching this year......He is big though.....

  6. My thoughts:

CSAS- returns the core of its team, with clearly the best player in the district if not region this year Kayla Kelly...they have a new coach who i havent heard of, so that could be a question mark there.

SouthPitt/Whitwell- Both are well coached and South Pitt has the athletes to keep up with CSAS

Salecreek- had a good group of sophmores last year that should be even better this year

Richard Hardy/Lookout Valley- Not sure what they have i would excpect them to struggle

I think CSAS has won back to back titles and has only lost 1 district game in the two years...Should be an interesting season

  7. give me my csas starting 5 and i will. this region other than grace who will beat csas is powder puff.

if he is so good why do parents send there kids to other schools so they dont have to play for him, kids dont come back for there senior year, or a mother takes there sons off the team in the middle of the season?

if kids want to play football there is a tssaa rule saying they can go somwhere to play if there school does not have it. so football is not the excuse.

Please name the kids that didnt come back for their senior year?

Please name whose child was taken off the team during the middle of the season?

  8. who can run point other than cobb and hampton? deere just needs to be a roll playin PG. i would still go with foster. he adds beef to a soft line up and with 2 big guys down there the lane and rebounds will be hard to get to. which will limit second chance buckets.

if deere cant do point mckoy can. just make sure you put the safety on his trigger finger

Cousin can play the PG but ill assume that you already knew that since you know so much about the team. And this is the same team that went like 30-1 this summer with Cobb in NY the whole summer.

To me it seemed that Cobb accepted his role and understood what an important role is, instead of being that selfish kid that complains because he doesnt start. A college coach will love to have the kid that isnt worried about himself, but more concerned about his TEAM

  9. that left hander was their best player last year, and i think that he was number 3, he wasn't very big but he impressed me with his quick feet on D and his pure 3 point shot. the left hand also left him open for easy lay ups when he was over played.

the other senior was 6'4 220 and saw lil playin time for some odd reason.

what would leroy higgins or coach high would have done with someone with his physique?

Dragoos greatness?!?! isn't that an oxi"moron"

Your credibility is really done. Lets see Hampton was District player of the year, District tourney MVP, All Region Team, 2nd team all city, made the All-State team but Craven (left hand kid) was the best player on the team?

The other senior your refering to ( Carter ) never spent a day in the gym during the summer all four of his years he was there. So i would say that Coach High and Higgins would have probably cut him if you ask me.......

  10. Their PG was undersized but OMG was he quick! Did pretty well for an 8th grader! If Woods is not there they will be down considerably.

Your right he was quick....He held his own very well playing last year. But without Woods he will stuggle i think

  11. if dragoo is such a great coach where did the players from last year go? where are the ones this year goin to go?

gotta build connections not burn bridges which is done very well at CSAS

Dude serious what is your issue here? Burning bridges?

One senior from last years team is playing at Chatt State i think, and the other is in school at ETSU. Those were the only two seniors from that team, but i assume since you know so much that you already knew that.

This years team currently has two players being recruited by D-II and D-I mid major schools.

Again I ask what your issue is?

  12. Not losing a district game in that district is not something to brag about.

I would have expected every kid to graduate, your basically a private school without paying tutition.

Not bragging at all just giving facts. (something that you cant give) The district isnt that great, but going 26-0 in a highschool sport is a nice accomplishment.

I would ask you to tell me when CSAS had a "loaded team" (which you stated before) and then fell short in the tournament?

Also I would like to invite you to call CSAS and schedule to come to the school and take a tour of the school and tell me if it looks and feels like any private school you have ever been to?

One thing they teach at CSAS is that you cant just go around and say things unless you have facts to support them. SO could you please give us your facts about the comments you have made.

  13. I'm not saying it's Dragoo's fault, but CSAS does usually seem to under-achieve. Before last year they only had 1 state appearance, in 1991. Of all the schools in the single-A state tourney last year, theirs had the largest enrollment, and their school was way larger than most. With all the students to choose from and all the talent they get, you would think they would have no trouble dominating their district.

This coming season seems to be theirs for the taking. Will they live up to their potential?

CSAS moved up to AA at somepoint during the mid 90's and was one of the smallest schools in AA. In 98 CSAS played your State Championship Crusaders and smoked them by like 30 I do believe.

While in AA they advanced to the Sub-State twice.

Since back in Single A they havent lost a District game in two years, and the closest game in District was maybe 17pts.

And someone else was saying how Coach Dragoo has under-achieved at CSAS. They have won 20 games a year for atleast the last 10yrs. He has had only one loosing season in 18 years at CSAS.

He has GRADUATED every player that has come through the program, and I would say close to 95% of those have gone on to GRADUATE college. SO lets see, he has won games with these kids, and made MEN out of them (many of them who dont have a father in their life) SO if you really think he has under achieved then maybe you should get your priorities in line.

  14. I was dissapointed that Hargis and someone from TSSAA weren't on the forum (they were invited.) I would like to have heard their rebuttals to some of Temple's claims. Maybe that's why they didn't show up. They may have decided not to come when they heard Walter Williams would be on the panel. That man tells it like it is.

Does he tell it like it is or is he just doing his job and portraying his clients best interests? I heard them complain that nothing was written about how once "temple new of the allegations, that they were in contact with the TSSAA and upfront about it all" If they would have self-reported their violations the TSSAA would have given a much lesser penalty, but waiting for the TSSAA to call you if not self-reporting. Temple is now just wasting money by having panels, and keep talking about it with their lawyers, cause im sure Mr. Williams runs about $200/hr....But thats ok im sure the booster will pick up the bill along with any other recruits he may find along the way.

  15. With the evidence found, was the penalty harsh? Or is it just me? I don't keep up with Temple, just read this and thought, WOW.

The only harshness of it, it the monetary penalties. The post season ban for two years in football means nothing really seeing that their team isnt good and wont make the post season anyways.

Seems that Temple squeezed by on this one

  16. in the Livingston academy austin east game, something disturbed me deeply. on a kick return, 3 AE players hit the LA returnee, cleanly. as the returnee lay on the ground, and all LA fans quite and saying prayers after the hardest hit ive ever seen, and LA players on their knees with helmets off, AE players laughed and high fived and slapped hands and all, and would not take a knee until they thought necessary, or thats my impression i had. is this team that horribly disciplined, because if so, they shouldnt even be allowed on the same field with class teams. from the things i hear, that boy suffered his 3rd concussion and is now probably never playing again. prayers needed in Livingston, but i want a justified answer to this, too.

    sincerely,

    King

Maybe the question that should be asked is why this kid was even playing, if he had already suffered from two concussions?

  17. Yeah just finished the game and sexton (James and Jeremy) and a bunch of other bball players were wearing jersys throwing the football around but not playing in the game. They joined the team. My cousin goes to school at temple and they have been begging every boy to play football.

If i were any of those basketball players i would stay as far away from the train wreck that is the Temple football team. No need to risk getting hurt and ruining a chance to atleast compete in basketball.

The coaches and administration should be ashamed of themselves if this meeting asking more players to come out and play happened.

  18. You're assuming they were recruited because that's what you want to believe. The fact is CSAS doesn't have a football program and there's undoubtedly dozens of kids there who would like to go to a school where they could play. Who knows why they would choose Temple? A few reasons might be that they've got friends there, they know they'd have a shot to play, they live close by, etc. To just assume they went there because they were recruited is silly.

Not assuming anything, its just that your such a fan and wont take a second a step back and look at the situation. This is from the TFP "The father of one confirmed that his son was asked to try out by a Temple booster and that his son not only practiced but also played in the Crusaders' spring scrimmage against Christian Heritage"

So what is your definition of recruiting? But now im sure that your gonna say that the kids father was not telling the truth.
