Congratulations to Science Hill and Dobyns Bennett on representing Region #1 well in the sectionals. Both teams played well against Region #2. Bearden won 1-0 over the Hill and Farragut won 2-1 over DB. Its been a great season and it nothing to hang your head over, losing to #1 and #2 ranked teams. Good Luck moving forward into next season .

Science Hill comes out on top in round #3 and takes the Region #1 Title Science Hill-1 Dobyns Bennett-0 District Tournament #1 MVP Greg Vogel went out in 1st half with vision problems and did not return to the DB line-up. Wish him a speedy recovery.... Alex Weaver had a very good game for "The HILL" created many chances...

I'm more concerned with Thurs. night, the Region 1 final. Got to take them one at a time. Both of the first 2 games w/ Science Hill were 1-0 victories. S.H. is tough and will bring it to the Tribe. As to a weak schedule, most of the players play club ball and play in the Knoxville leagues and have competed well in that venue. The sectional game will be tough whom ever they play, but they will compete!!!!

Congrats to Seymour, good luck against "The HILL". They are a tough side that has allows few goals and are always in the game.

Whats Wanderer got against District 1&2. District 4 has been a cut above for years with Farragut and Bearden,,, Its a shame Region 1 always has to go through them and that usually ends the season. Dobyns Bennett and Science Hill have done pretty well against others in the West Knox area. I'll agree that Dist 3&4 they are the best in the East top to bottom, but don't count out Region 1 this early.

Dobyns Bennett are champs Dist. 1 (1-0) Science Hill is runner -up. Seymour and South Doyle play in final for Dist. 2 Friday. Any speculation as to who is the favored team in this one.
