Young has no track record with the treatment of kids,not the kind of person you want to coach high school kids. His state championship was with Dempsey's team and the Crow boys!!!! "clear the hill"

Do you think the AD makes decisions at EHS regarding coaching positions? Get real! The decision are made on "the hill" Coach Payne had nothing to do with the demise of the other programs. The assistant coaches that's been hired over the years to replace people like Hastings,Mckinney,Hyder,Perkins Hyder and even Coach Jenkins who was an assistant for many years just don't compare to this groups ability and experience!

Elizabethton City Schools is in a total mess thanks to the longest running interm supt. in the state and the puppet school board.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE FROM THE ELIZABETHON STAR (FRONT PAGE AND EDITORIALS BASHING THESE DECISIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CHILDREN? The sport's section has reported the truth but where is the outrage from the citizens?Is this petty bickering going to continue until it destroys all of the programs and everyone associated with it?Why or when is this puppet school bd. going to hire a director? answer,it has!!! It was rumored there was not one single applicant for the principals position at EHS including coach Pless,what does this say?THE KIDS ARE THE ONE THAT IS GOING TO PAY FOR THIS FOR YEARS TO COME.THESE CONSTANT CHANGES RUNS THROUGH THE CLASSROOMS AS WELL BUT THIS DON'T MATTER AS LONG AS THE INTERM ( PERMANENT)DIRECTOR IS HAPPY. WE ARE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The director did remove him but he also is at the mercy of the board who can remove super! This board is a puppet of alexander.

Super has done it again! He has basically forced out the only coach (boys) that has had sucess. I wonder if Mrs Ward can get a recall up to remove the authority!! He has done more to disrupt the school system than Roper ever did! I propose since Elizabethton is willing to give him free reigns with the school system then rename in his honor. I am totally frustrated with Coach Paynes resignation.The Elizabethton school system is and has been in dissaray for several years and continues to be regardless of the spin that some are trying to put on it. FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ehs assistants EHS football has gone down hill for reasons other than Coach Pless and no one has mentioned this factor. At one time they had one of the best group of assistant coaches in the area.Mckinney, Hyder,Perkins,Hastings and even Childress.The current staff is no where the quality of those mentioned above. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ph34r:" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />
