we will see a big difference this year i look for some surprises along the way with winning some games we shouldnt or be expected to win. T-20 days till 2 adays start! buckleup folks its going to be a wild ride

yes betsy will be back.... i hope coach has a meeting with the players and parents so everybody is on the same page. if and only if the parents will let the coaches do their job then we will be back sooner than most think. If the parents think they can tell them what to do like some do now, then we might as well just drop the program because no matter who is the coach we will not become any better.

listen to your coaches and work hard, they know what they are talking about. and this team will surprise alot of people this year. the talent is there. madman alot of people are behind the team, so dont let the negitive stuff on here get you down. let the coaches coach, the players play and winning will take care of itself. by the 4 or 5th game things will start looking real good for you guys.

even tho this may sound bad, it was oggs decision to come, he was asked he turned in a application was interviewed for a teaching position, thought things over and accepted the job. nobody made him do this it was his decision, besided he would probably get a $4,ooo a year raise by going to the city schools. i dont balme him. some of you guys turn a ant hill into a big mountain and dont know all the facts and always look to blame somebody else. I think its about time for everybody to shut their mouths and let the people on the hill, and the coaches, teachers do what they get paid to do, and give them a chance to bring our school system back to what it should be. If you or anybody else on here was offered a job with a nice big pay increase you cant tell me you wouldnt take it. yea someday someplace may come a sweep our coaches away at the last minute but thats life and life does go on so get over it.

like i said earlier---- parents step away and let him run this program and do the job he was hired to do.. this is not the boys club league where parents think they control. if they do this i bet in 3 years we win the conference hands down! GOOD POST LEONARD I AGREE

i have to agree with a earlier post-- We want know who the coach is till the dead period. The kids are excited and want to get started learning a new system, they have been working hard. a few of the Sr. on the team told me they had something to prove. They was not happy with things last year and was ashamed of the way the season turned out.

Can someone give us an update? I haven't heard an announcement yet. everything is quite right now, several rumors floating around but dont put any stock in them especially dave rider coming back for 1 year.. it aint gonna happen

i hear the job is going to jeff pierce---- this could cause a riot in ole betsy, if this happens we will be the laughing stock of the east tn. not only that but the program is losing money now, they will lose even more! CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!!!

If what I am hearing is correct about Jeff Pierce being named Football Coach later this week... Rather than a qb club we need to form a clear the hill club. This is the most crazy thing I ever heard of. And they think this will be a good move? Dang I could do a better job than he could. Anyone else heard this? Like i said in my earlier post I will give them a chance and if they prove me wrong in hiring a qualified football coach then heck ya clear the hill tear the building down and lets start from scratch

Yes I do trust the admin to get our sports program back on top by bringing in good coaching staffs, will they prove me wrong? they might i dont know time will tell. But I'm not going to go around talking people down because coaching changes are being made, yes we lost a good BB coach. Yes it affects the kids but what affects the kids the most is the parents negitive remarks on everything the admin and board does. we could have the bear coaching football, rupp in basketball, cox in baseball and with the parents not encouraging the kids and saying nothing but negitive remarks when things dont go the way they want them to, we would still be where we are today. It seems to me that Payne steped down on his own, it was nothing the admin did, they didnt force him out, he had a choice to make, that is the path is chose to go so why dont folks just accept that and move on and stop the negitive stuff. The kids needs us the parents, fans, alumi more than ever right now, they dont need to hear all the BS on here and in Walmart. Has any of you parents thought about going down to the school and helping with summer workouts and conditioning? Yea that would be nice to see wouldnt it. A true Cyclone when knocked down will get right back up and continue to fight but bigger and stronger so we need to ban together and support the kids and ride this wave out and see what happens then if things dont improve do something about it.

/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":unsure:" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Bad news about coach payne, he should have been rewarded in his pocket book for the last 2 years, however i personally dont like the ideal of a head coach serving as AD myself. he had the choice of coaching or doing the AD jobs. I dont blame all this on the current admin. sorry i know i will get bashed for saying that but thats my opinion. football position i would like to see shawn get the job. but they are others and some very qualified assistants i know of that would love to have the chance at this program that could do as good of job as i think shawn can. Be patient and see how all this plays out. We have board members that want EHS athletics to be successful and I trust them. however i see trouble if we hire jeff pierce or any of the current staff. they are not dedicated enough and too layed back, i think a complete overhaul is needed to get back on top where we belong. basketball.. i would like see marty street get the job. thats my thoughts so go ahead and bash me if you would like i have the right to express my opinion just like you do. ehs grad and former player
