Well the Canes have climbed another rung of the ladder towards the 4A state title. The naysayers and non believers haven't taken this team serious yet. That's OK we will just enjoy it one game @ a time. Next victim.....Giles !

So how long does John stick around?? Won 5 games in two years and from all accounts has a young team so don't appear to be to successful next year with a young team. So what's everyone's thoughts. Does he stay for a few more years and try to build the program or skip out for something else. If Greene leave Rhea I can see John trying to go home. Thoughts??

I think he ll stick around and try to build a program but you never know with him though..........i think the sophomore class looks good.

it is his second year and i am one of the few saying i still think Allen is better than his record at Central. some others are ready to run him out of town. I am solely judging him on this season for this season, not as a whole for the program. I just see a lot of negative that has to be fixed. i am one of the few that thinks that central has some talent but not the talent that others on here think we have. and i also think we have zero depth, and are extremely young.

 

My biggest complaint is that i don't see depth being developed and not enough chances for the young ones to get their feet wet with game experience.

 

I know it takes time to built a program especially at a school with losing tradition. Central has not had but maybe 2 winning record seasons in 25 years. it aint going to fix itself over night but i am going to call it like i see it. and right now coaching is not where it needs to be.

Central s been hurting way before this so let the man get his fair take on rebuilding then we ll talk about running him off The kids he ran off did hurt the program short term but he s building long term i think and i hope they get better..........maybe we need to get better coaches acroos the street @ Harrison Rec???? Theres always a few standout s @ Central year to year but cant seem to get a group to stay together.........if anybody can get players in there it him!!

It s his 1st year so give him a chance...........could he have won a game or 2 more????? I m not disagreeing about all the comments but to expect someone to come in nd win it all JUST AINT gonna happen i dont care who you are...........he s trying to re build a school/athletic program and he s building from the ground up IMO..........i agree he s not the best coach but he s got a plate full for sure dealing with a losing team to begin with, much less trying to make all the rec league coaches on here happy!

I do think Central will win this game. Central will also play well vs. Hixson. I do Think your head coach will return next year, don't know about some of the asst. Unless he jumps ship and heads to Soddy, that will be a open postion very shortly. Brown, and Hunter middle were pretty good this year, need to grab them early and get them ready for high school ball, keep those kids at Central and yall should be very competive. Keep an eye on Hunter kids most end up at Ooltewah no matter where they live.

18 is gonna be hard to stop, especially when the RB defense has to worry about 12 throwing the ball to 24, 31, 22 or 25. They can't put everybody in the box cause Canes will throw the ball. And. When they spread it out 18 or 25 are gonna find a hole and move the ball on the ground. Canes won't underestimate RB....they will get on them early and let the younger boys play the 2nd half.

You would be correct RB is a good team and getting better. But the Beast is right everyone talks about are O line and #18, but the Cane D has been very good. Real Man your new profile pic is priceless........

I m surprised you had enough to move up to 5A seeing that several of them didnt even come to school and that had to take the special test to pass...............that would keep you in 4A for sure!!

All the kids were counted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was just a question , Good night! I am a fan, not a coach, Admin, I do not draw a check from the county. But by God I am that pitiful, and just low enough to try anything to keep us 4A, if I were in charge but I am not. Why would I want to go from being the largest 4A school to the smallest 5A school? Other then the $$$$$ bump. Nobody in the state would want to....... But in the end we will go to 5A and that's fine. Just remember seamer it was a question not like we were going to do it Go Owls!

I think you are correct. ? will TSSAA allow schools to subtract special needs kids from it's enrollment. If so East Ham could slide just under the line for 4A. I mean just under.

Coach Gate pulls ours pretty quick. Jackson got pulled in the 2nd qt. with only 81 yards rushing vs East Ridge, Gate could have really pumped up his numbers. But what goes around comes around, we try not to run the score up, Gate never did when he was at Ooltewah. I know the Signal folks we say we ran it up on them......... We did, never took the foot off the gas a clear message was sent, they never took the foot off when they pounded us the first 3 years.

i'm always pulling for central no matter the odds. and it doesn't matter if allen calls the play's or not....... (i'll keep the rest to myself). but i would like to see the boys play with more heart and desire allen can't doing anything about that. they have to pull togather for them self and have some pride about there self. because like everyone said last week it look like they were just out there.
