  1. Give all credit to Rhea County, but there is no excuse for why Ooltewah should have lost to them. The players weren't playing very well together (coach only plays about 6 or 7 anyways). Alot of easy missed shots and turnovers, they pressed alot in the game and it wasn't working and kept doing it (thats on coach). But overall, I'd say they were just out coached in that game, Nayadley showed no actual intensity or any intent to win the game.

You hit the nail on the head............Rhea is very athletic and beat Ooltewah up down and all around the court so i ll say Rhea is more athletic!!!! Not to mention they can shoot ha ha

  2. Ooltewah beats Bradley last night . It should have been more but everyone knows when you go to Bradley the refs always exercise their will on the outcome of the game. Pace of the game way to fast for those zebras. Bradley has a deep bench and plays very hard. They were missing Copeland and Stovall. Does anyone know if Stovall is going to play this year? Ooltewah was also missing a starting guard who was out due to injury.

Owls play Rhea friday night at the Barn. I have not heard much about Rhea. Anyone??

I heard/seen all wanted about them tonight..........there very well coached and can shoot well!!!

  3. What's really sad about your comments is that of the 12 players that McCallie dresses, only 3 are boarders. That means 9 are from the Chattanooga area. So I'd be careful in saying that McCallie has recutited and play only Atlanta kids.

Local kids can/are boarders as well......Baylor really doesnt need to bring up ONE THING about recruiting.......

  4. Don't believe everything you read, but thanks for the locker room material. You're the first Ooltewah fan that has taken a cheap shot at our community........and BTW, I wish we did have a little Flea Market set up outside the visitors locker room. We would have made a killing selling crying towels last Friday night. :roflol:

Crying towels probably would nt have sold too well............unless you sold them to the guys who stole all the wallet s and cell phones, ha ha!!!!!!! From what i ve read you already made a killing-----------pure profit with very little overhead!!

  5. It sounds like you guys don't have a clue about what you're about to get in to . Powell big .

From what i ve read, it looks like were gonna have to keep a eye on our vehicles/pockets and tackle Mobley................not sure whats gonna be the hardest????? Wonder if they ll have a Flea Market with cell phones etc. set-up outside of the visitors locker room?

  6. There is still lots of talent at Ooltewah. Coach Williams is maturing into a good coach. I went to every game but the Siegel game and except for a few breakdowns they either won or should have won every game. Very good D especially when they use proper tackling technique. Good balanced O with a variety of backs a couple of burners and a couple of bruisers. Receivers are very good and can take it all the way on any play. If the line gives the QB time he can be very good. Will lock on a receiver sometimes which leads to some picks.

He s got alot of maturing to do as a person much less a coach!!!! I m taking Ooltewah by 6 ONLY because of there defense and special teams.

  7. FowlBall.....you guys @ Hooterville are still jealous that you lost all the talent to the new school. If you remember prior posts, I have bee telling you guys since 2009 that the Canes were going to be awesome in a couple of years.....well now with only 3 seniors starting, you are beginning to see it happen. Next year will be better than this one and when the Owls come to Hurricane Hill they will go home without their tail feathers and a loss to an team they constantly call no good. It takes time to build a program and these young guys have done a great job to get to the playoffs in just 3 years. I expect them to Go a lot farther in the playoffs than your HooterBirds. GO CANES.

Canes will be good next year (but got beat down by Oolt this year LOL) and Owls will not beacause they lose 27 seniors this year..........NOT A SHOCKER!!!! ME OR ANYBODY COULD CARE LESS WHO WENT TO EAST HAMILTON, Ooltewah didnt lose anything to them and the jealous part is a joke ha ha. Wonder why everybody s trying to comeback to Ooltewah the last couple of years???????????????????????????????? lol

  8. Canes will take it one game at a time. We plan to get all the use we can out of the new stadium we have by hosting the games each week. That's what you get to do when you take 1st place in your District. We can play @ home till the big game. GO CANES

Wishful thinking............have nt got the talent to take it all!!! With a school that big you would think so BUT you just aunt got it!!!!!! Better enjoy this year while you can.

  9. Owls win 62-27 I think they might have had the big head in first half. Coach must have gotten on them because they shut them out in second half. Wells for mustangs is a good back

There aint no must ve gotten on them....... i could hear him jumping down there throats them in the stands!!!! Heard some stuff i should nt since the crowd was so small, kinda ridiculous too!!

  10. Yes and then he retired and Coach Williams came in. I am not disputing that Benny was a great coach and did great things for the Owls. I was there for his whole tenure. All I am saying is this is only Coach Williams second year as head coach and that takes time to learn all the duties of a Head Coach. I have seen improvement by both the team and the coaches this year and that is a positive sign.

Hate that it is raining today and tonights forcast not looking good. Play hard and get the Win tonight and seniors good luck to you.

    Go Owls

Gonna be a cold, nasty night for football.........

  11. Pending the outcome of Friday nights game, the Owls have beaten all the teams they were supposed to beat and lost two close ones to teams with equal to or slightly better talent and lost one blowout to a team with superior talent. We need to remember that this is only Coach Williams second year and he is learning how to win. I have seen plenty of improvement over last years team and there is still room to grow. Still some discipline issues with too many stupid penalty's that happen at the wrong time, but overall things are looking better. D has been lights out better than last year and the O has been up and down. Get a little more consistant play on both sides and especially cover team on the special teams and we should have a program that is playoff caliber every year and every once in a while make a run towards a championship.

Go Owls looking forward to Senior night tomorrow.

Ooltewah went 48-12 in Monroe’s five years, advancing to the state semifinals in 2006 and the quarterfinals in 2008. Eleven players were named to all-state teams, and current University of Tennessee defensive end Jacques Smith was a state Mr. Football in 2008 and 2009

  12. ......they did it to themselves and got caught. They trusted the coaches/administration of SM to save the 18yr old ha ha......(save him from what lol)and have been to 5 schools in 4 yrs so we all know they came to a small pond to be a big fish and now there on the bank with a hook in there mouth~~~~~i do hate it for the kids from the correct school zone that had there position taken or there senior year tarnished with this crap!!

  13. These folks, referring to that knucklehead and others believing it, similar to ones implying a private school or schools was in on it. Others think it might be someone in your own backyard.

Whoever it was didnt need much info because going to 5 schools in 4yrs kinda leaves it wide open for a vast number of rats!! Playing the feel sorry, better education, didnt know, got jumped crap card is what makes it look so bad for SM.

  14. possum, Coach J, hatr1234, lancer10

You all must just be plain stupid. He was a Freshman when he was at Brainerd so yes a Freshman could easily have been jumped by 5 guys. Plus this incident was supported by the Brainerd principle.

It’s amazing that grown people get pleasure out of coming on here and attacking this kid. I’m fair game feel free to come attack me. But getting some thrill out of attacking this kids story just shows what kind of people you are.

First of all he s not a kid!!!!!!!!!!!! He s 18 fixing to turn 19 SOON not 10 or 12 yrs old.........there s KIDS his age fighting a REAL WAR for us right now so get off the soap box, i dont blame you taking up for your school and supporting the coaches (which are full of it) but playing stupid and the sympathy card is getting is as low down as it gets!!!! SM isnt the only school doing it as we all know but ya ll are the one s that are gonna be the example for all.

  15. It all started @ Orchard Knob.........they renewed their friendship at LFO.............ha ha!!!! It is what it is, since all he wanted was a good education then football should nt really matter should it? Abuse of the SYSTEM is all i see here, no more- no less~~

  16. I'm just glad that little McClendon feller doesn't have to worry about getting picked on anymore! He looks so fragile and unable to defend himself against those bullies at LFO, Brainerd, Howard, ughhh I'm sure I missed one or three....

McClendon has attended five high schools in four years, going to Hixson, Brainerd, Howard and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe before coming to Signal Mountain for his senior year.........

  17. #12 was four or five drops and one 80 yard td called back last week from having 500 against bradley... he is easily one of the best if not the best qb in the area... offensive line hurts them though... would expect a solid game from him and the rest of the owls tonight

I agree.............wonder why he doesnt get alot of hype or get interviewed after games???
