Cleveland wasn't the underdog. Everyone in Sevierville knew that. Polls are bologna at the beginning. But Cleveland has speed and played well. Sevier Co. Had some positives. Give the Smoky Bears a year or so. They will be back in the mix. I still vow 3-7 record and a playoff appearance this year. Go get those Ooltewah Owls Cleveland.

But I see a 4-6 record in store for the Smoky Bears this year. Possibly 3-7. Everyone makes the playoffs anyways. LoL

I am excited for this year. More excited to see what the coaching staff can fit together this year. I don't mine going 0-10. Although I would be sad. As long as I see a positive future ahead and the program fights and gives there all every minute of the contest.

You are absolutely correct. I hope that Lingo and the coaches promoted the program well in the hallways at school. That's where alot of it starts. Selling the program in the hallways.

Yes it was a surprise but they had some good players. They lost a bunch from last year. And I really don't think there is many tools in woodshed for the Bears this year. That's why I wanted to start this thread to hopefully give the other schools a time to boast and place a flag. It's been awhile since the other schools have seen sunshine being under the shade tree of the Smoky Bears. And I think it could be a year where Lingo could show what a good coach he actually could be. Which I have faith in his system. And he sure is a class act guy from what's on the grapevine.

I watched PF beat Northview like a dog last year on Packer Vision's game of the week 48-6 and could of been a lot worse. Unless he lost all 22 starters I can't imagine that happening. PG the last time I heard was getting a kid that was a very good player that has been through the Maryville system when he was younger. I had talked to the kids mother this spring and she told me at the time he was going to play football for them this fall. I do know when he was younger he was the best player on the team. Sevier County does have a real good coach. They sure fooled me last year making it to the state but they did have some real good kids last year. I seen them in two scrimmages where they got turned everywhere but lose in both games and I really under estimated them from that point on but I sure was proud of them to make it far as they went.

When northview beats pigeon forge this year will that make Scott #3 in the county?

Coach Meadows being the best coach in the county. Could be a argument in itsself. Lingo does a pretty good job. Guess the verdict will be out by how he Mangages these young kids at Sevier County this year.

I will be surprised if the Bears will anywhere what they have been because they sure lost a lot of good players last year. I also watched some of the clips of the OR and Seymour scrimmage and the Eagles looked horrible as the Higgins kid caught a pass and I think everyone on defense at one time had a chance to tackle him on one of the plays and I just thought to myself how awful. PF might be the best team possibly in your county this year. If all the talent is close to being even then I would bet on Meadows to have the best team because he is the best coach in that county.

And yes I did forget TKA. They are so under the radar I just forgot about them.

Just wondering. Who will hold the banner of county pride this year. Could this be the year where another school of Sevier County be the talk of the talk. Or will the Smoky Bears still be where it is. Seymour , Gatlinburg , Northview Academy , Pigeon Forge. Who is in for the most successful year. I need answers and a booming thread to keep up with. Including I want all Sevier County , Seymour , Gatlinburg , Northview Academy and Pigeon Forge fans to hang and enjoy the confersation of each other. Lets unite and be civil with discussion. I will cheer for any school in Sevier County. Well unless they are playing the Smoky Bears.

Great game Indy. We didn't play our best at Sevier County but even if we did. You guys would have still won. You guys clearly are state champs. Kudos.

I think I speak for myself and Sevier Co. Fans. We could care less what you think. If Coach had a ignore switch. You would be top of the list.

Ok first of all for u sevier fans that think this is going to be easy, trust me it's not the most points Indy has gave up all year have been 20 I'm not even shure ur "stud" offense over there at SC has even put up more that 20 in some games, Indy has constantly put up 40 points or more 38 to Hendersonville 42 to cane ridge 56 to centineal I'm telling you right now Indy is not going to lose just cause of yalls quarterback and receivers Indy don't have just a few players they are stacked sevier better have the bus heaters ready by half

Oh and Sevierville has a Wal Mart leaving in the 3rd qtr should be plenty of shop time for Rhea fans since you guys don't have one. Just wipe the cupcake icing off youre face before you walk in.

Peope might look at you funny wearing a Green Rhea pride shirt with little writing saying bigboy football with a smear of purple icing.

This is going to be one heck of a game to watch. And I can assure you that the Rhea County faithful will take over smoky bears stadium.

I hope so it'll be fun watching you all toting youre big boy football embroidered lawn chairs out of the breezeway eating a cupcake midway through the 3rd quarter. Saying well those east tn teams got lucky this year. Atleast we can flex our muscles next year.

Thackerson was decent (Clinton), but we held him to 10 points. Cathedral and Baylor were by far the best qb Rhea County will face (unless we get to the championship game).

-Navy is a good comparison of Rhea County. If our WR gets healthy, this game could be really exciting!!!

Same to you. Excited about the game as well. I watched some videos of Rhea County on youtube. Very well coached and they seem very tricky and exciting.

Where is pigeon forge stadium?

Just gps that location on youre flip phone. It will take you right there. Then sit, turn the radio to 105.5 and listen to the game and think about what a waste of a good Friday you made. LoL

Never seen Rhea County in my life. I am very interested in watching this game. Might look like a Navy vs. Oregon kind of offensive game. Who knows. Good Luck to both and please have a safe trip to Sevier County.
