Add Will Carter and Matt Harmon to the Jr. Toppers Actually I am pretty sure Kevin Connell played for the Select for a year before the Toppers and Seabolt played for the Jr. Toppers the last year they played. Hayden Chandley also played for the Toppers a few tournaments. Ganger did play for the Toppers. That would be a good game but I would put my money on the Jr. Toppers in that one but it would draw a lot of local money and interest. Maybe we can put that together to start the summer. Come on Big Bill CArter. Make this happen.

I was thinking South with a win could move up to 3 which would be worth trying to avoid Boone who they had to take to extra innings last night. Science Hill will win because they will be focused on winning a share of the conference and being the #1 seed. I don't think it will matter because I don't think any of the bottom seeds can beat Norris on the mound Saturday. But if Science Hill overlooks South it could be an upset. They don't hit many homeruns as I think Tom TAylor said on the radio yesterday that they only have 11 as a team for the season. But they do hit it well and run good. They don't have a dominant pitcher but do a good job of pitching. They pitched a freshman and Burrows yesterday so I don't know who they will pitch tonight. He has about 8 that have pitched on the team. As usual, Saturday should be interesting with everyone's ace on the mound at DB. No one can complain about the field this year costing them a game (DB).

Does South have a chance against Science Hill to upset the standings and the brackets for Saturday?
  4. Paper says Kevin Connell at Daniel Boone has 15

Have Have to also say that was the best game Chandley has caught. Where did that base stealing speed come from. the old Jr Toppers are really making the conference interesting this year. Would love to see a reunion game.

Great game last night between science hill and boone. All the drama of a great high school baseball game. Dino made a top ten catch in the first inning. Good pitching. Homeruns. Comeback. Drama til last pitch Some questions edwards not leaving Craig but he had to be over 100 pitches and seemed to be tiring. I don't understand why he pitched to Connell. According to some of the boone fans he has 8 homeruns in a week and now 2 grandslams. I would have walked him. And someone else would have had to beat me. I also thought that was his best pitching performance I have seen from Kevin . Good control of curve and slider and was 90+ at times. Dinos last hit would have gone out anywhere except dead center.

Throw Zach Thompson in there with 6 home runs. I don't understand how Zach has not gotten the offers. Solid fielder and good hitter.

Was looking back through Tricitiessports.com. Looks like South has not played the top games. Their four wins are all over the bottom teams. They still have to play the top teams. I believe they play Boone Wednesday in a makeup and then again the last week of the season which will determine the 4 spot. Looking at the articles. Connell hit 3 Saturday and 1 last night so I think he has 7 according to tricitiessports.com I think Norris and Craig have 6 each. Millsap has several for DB.

anybody know standings right now? I would say Science Hill DB THS Boone volunteer/Crockett Central is this right? Who leads the Conference in HR's?
  10. The players know. We were watching a JV game the other day and the players sitting around me saw 4 bats that were illegal being used. The umpires up here never check anything. BAts, helmets, catcher's equipment. they would not have a clue whether a bat was legal or illegal.

Found it on Houston Site. Lost 4-2 Looks like D-No must have had control problems again. 7K's but 6 W's in 4.2 innings. Someone give us the scoop.

Gabby, What happened to SH this weekend. Did not get to go. I know it was good teams they were playing but they got blasted twice. Was the SH pitching not equal or fielding. i thought SH would put runs up on most teams.

No disagreement here. He looked good and will be there. I would take Norris over any other pitcher right now. Would love to see Norris and Connell together on a staff like they were with the Jr. Toppers. That team would be deadly now. Watched Kevin last night. STill getting baseball legs under him after basketball season. Pitched 3 innings of relief and had 5 or 6 k's. Not there yet but had good form and was upper 80's. Playing basketball limits him and others from their full potential but you are only a high school player once. He did what he wanted to do and became the only player to start at least one game in all four years in football, basketball, and baseball at Boone. Some times you have to live for yourself and do something you have to give up something. He will be there in a few weeks full speed. I believe 90 is a lot of pitches this early. I know they have been throwing but still too many pitches for me. Not bashing Edwards or DaHill. Just my thought, everybody has a different level of pitch count at this point in the game. I believe the weather being cold also should limit the pitches, especially when you have the arms SH has. It would have been hard to pull him that close to the no hitter. I'm glad Edwards did. I was one that thought Norris pitched too many in a week at the end of last season.
  15. No You buy your way into there. Money talks whether it is an organization or a player. AGain, no one looks at stats. It is about the evaluation. 98% of what did what. Signed a college scholarship. That is not that hard. If I can do an invite only showcase, I bet I can get 100%. Think about it. Just because you are sold on these guys, you don't have to sound unreasonable about their results. They may get there but they are unproven and will take many years to get there. The difference is that PG has the players going pro. Their goal is to rank the total players, not just the ones that come to a showcase. If you want to say that this organization is great to get players signed, then say that. But also state what level and where they are getting them signed. Most players in the south that make varsity can go north and play D1. Just be realistic and stop trying to sell snake oil.
  16. Wow! You guys are either scammed or getting paid or are booting the company by scamming us that you are players. This is a new unproven company. There is no way to verify stats unless you are there. Coaches lie, parents lie, and the players stats are a joke. SAw a coach last year have a fly ball hit a glove in the infield, can of corn and the coach gave him a hit. What a joke. Perfect GAme does everything with their own eyes and have a proven history. I don't know what fees you are talking about. YOu pay for the team and that is it. If you choose to do the shcowcases, then you pay for hte showcase. There are no other fees. If you want the rankings and stuff, then you pay but that is not helping you other than your ego. Perfect GAme and then Under Armour. The one you stated is years behind.

No offense but D-No and Will pitched a combined no-hitter. You can't get credit for it when you get pulled with 1 out left in the game. Still a great outing for D-No, but not a no-hitter. He really had his stuff going tonight. Went deep in a lot of counts to many batters. Not many walks but still has to work on control. But still dominant. Chase had a great game also. His defense let him down. Hear Connell had a homerun for Boone and Matthews had a triple for DB. Should be a good run at the top between SH, THS, DB and db. Was surprised Crockett got drilled like they did by Boone.
  18. Like it or not, Perfect Game is the ultimate at this point. They pretty much dictate the selection in the MLB draft and also are very reliable with college coaches. They do a great job of providing the MLB and colleges with information that has come to be reliable and accurate (as close as it can get with the thousands of baseball players out there). They are reasonable when it comes to showcases in the total scheme and they are good at seeing the games and reporting on the players at the WWBA and other perfect game tournaments. Under Armour does not have the history that PG has and does not provide the amount of info that PG does to the college coaches and MLB. When you go to Jupiter and see the hundreds of scouts there, you can't beat it. I saw one game last year that had over 15o scouts watching one game. Under Armour has nothing like that.
  19. I thought you said in an earlier post that you did not believe in a pay to rank system. Do you not realize that is what your daddy has done? He is paying so that scorecardathletics.com will rank you higher. Daddy should have spent his money at a better organization/event.
  20. You have got to be joking. The only way to get them your stats is by joining (that is paying). They are out of New York and nobody has ever heard of them. And I can send them any stats I want. Little Johnny batted .750 for 4 years of high school. This is a joke. Perfect Game is the established place to go. I would also say you are wrong on paying to get ranked. I do not believe Daniel has ever paid to enter a Perfect Game event. I know many of the top 150 players and they have never paid to go to the showcases. They only played the WWBA events and the invite only stuff.
  21. That is as close to saying anything nice about The Hill as I can get. You brought Boone's schedule up not me. And you are wrong on the HOF games. I know for a fact that Johnson County tried to pit the two against each other and your coach refused. On the Arby's, all I heard on here and in the paper was The Hill complaining that they got shafted on their first round game, AGAIN. So I was just repeating what I heard, probably from you. I could care less what happens at The Hill or any other. Don't have a dog in the race. You are the one who started this thread trashing SHHS fans. Look at the title of the thread. What SHHS fans want is what any fan wants a winning team that wins at the end. My 2 cents. SHHS is not willing to lose some games to get better. They put so much pressure on him to win that they can't afford to play better teams and lose. Don't say they are not out there. They are but SHHS has to prove that they are that level team. They lose first round of Arby's every year and that does not speak well of them. They got beat out of the playoffs last year twice by a team that has no basketball players, just a bunch of athletes (no offense Boone but it is the truth). They have to learn how to win consistently in the big games. And they have not proven they could do that. And you want to talk class. How bad does a player have to be to not get in in a 30 point game. You had players against Boone in the playoff game that did not get in until 1 minute left in a 30 point game. You are not making your players better by being a butt. He will not sub until the losing team subs. That is just a joke. His fans want him to win by so many and yet it is not making his overall team better. In summation your honor, 2 things. Quit worrying about wins and losses and quit worrying about how many you win by. Just play the best non-conference games you can even if you lose and get your bench in conference games when you are winning by 15 or more. I will admit SHHS is the top of the conference this year and next and probably next. But if you can't get to the next round, it does not matter.
  22. Try this again. Nobody can understand what you are saying. Maybe I can translate. Boone plays Bearden every year at the HOF in Johnson County and Science Hill plays the nobodies and refuses to play Bearden because they don't want a loss that early. Boone played Knox Carter twice. Boone won at home and lost on the road. From there out I can't help other than a team that wants to be called the best must play the best win or lose. Science Hill complained that they drew a bad draw in the Arby's and yet lost. And then lost to Tennessee High. If you want to get good, forget the records and play the best whether you win or lose. I don't think Science Hill fans or coaches are willing to lose games to become better.
  23. Why did the Big 8 let Science Hill change the bracket for tonight's game? The #1 seed always plays the last game yet SH was afraid their fans would not get into the game since they would not move it to Freedom Hall so they changed the schedule where 1and 4 play at 6 then the Boone and DB fans will not get in to see their game. Just don't understand why they would let them pull this. It will be interesting to see if SH makes the championship if their fans will even get to see it since the championship is the second game on Saturday. I think the consolation game fans will stay put and not let the other fans come in. Everyone else's thoughts.
  24. Sounded like it to me. We might fight it out when we play each other but we protect each other and that was trivializing what happened to South and Jake. This guy has run his mouth all week and now he wants to take a shot at Jake and his family. Don't think so. From all of NET, I hope Boone takes it to West tomorrow night for Jake and his family. Protect the NET. Don't let anyone take a shot at one of our own, even if it is not your team. Jake represented all of NET.
  25. I would bet that Jake Logue's parents and friends would not agree that losing 2 games is equal to losing a son and friend. That was cold. It is funny that you have no friends and are the lone west supporter talking all this smack. I can't figure out why the Boone faithful keep answering you. You make no sense. It will be a good game and the team that can play defense wins. Again, you might want to think before you write that losing a game is equal to a life. I don't care how much education you got at West that was not good common sense.
