  1. Peabody not play in this tourney this year?
  2. You are quite welcome! So, I just realized who #7 is! LOL......I'm just now getting the names with faces and now putting their jersey numbers with that as well. HA!!! Have a safe trip back to West TN!
  3. Today's game went well! Beat Harpeth by run rule in the 6th it was 12-0. Purvis pitched a great game with Chad catching. Dylan Haycraft @ 1st, Shea @ 2nd, Morgan @ ss, TRob @ 3rd, T.Lyons LF, JP-CF, Newell-RF........with Will Harris DH for Purvis. The defense was the key in this game and the Choctaws' defense was tight. NO Es!!! We got other batters in like, Keaton Gregory, Will Harris, Rob Harris and Kody King which all got a hit! BTW: Morgan's performance at the plate was better today! Monday off with a home game vs Southside Tuesday! GO CHOCTAWS!!!
  4. Dyer Co-8 Nashville Christian-0 Dyer Co-1 Lawrence Co-6
  5. We are new to Dyer Co. so I am stating my opinion only from what I have seen this season. This is a STRONG group of players. I think Chad is probably the most talented player on this team........he plays well at any position he's been placed and he's a hitter--all around solid player. I like seeing JP in center and pitching..he does well in both positions, plus he's batting 3rd & rightly so! BA is a better pitcher than catcher, yet I think he's a better football player than baseball player. Nothing against him because he's a good baseball player, he's just an even better football player! T.Lyons is a fantastic catcher with a lot of bat power! He's not too shabby in OF either! Shea played 2nd today and impressed me. Thought he did a great job there and I know how well he plays SS.....not to mention his bat! Morgan is quite impressive at 3rd, just going through a little slump right now at the plate, but all in all a great player and a great kid. Derrick is a strong pitcher and his batting has been pretty hot too, which you usually don't see in pitchers. Cody Starks looks promising as a lefty pitcher and was quite impressive in the OF Thursday......made a diving catch I didn't think he would get close to. Our loss to Adamsville did not reflect the greatness of Mike Grey's pitching. He did his job, but our defense was weak the first 2-3 innings and we just could not catch up. DH (Haycraft) our DH most times, definately earns that spot. He's a go getter, hungry for baseball action! Biscuit, as they call him, seems to have power pitching and batting; however, I think he just needs to get a little more confidence (and that will come with more playtime) and he'll be fine! If I've left anyone out, it is NOT intentional. I'm just still learning everyone and gosh, they all look alike out there sometimes! I will say that overall, this team is strong in many areas. They are all hard workers and respect their teammates, whether they are on the field or off. They have accepted the newbies because they've seen their work ethics and know they are serious about the game. Again, these are ONLY my opinions and I am female so they are subject to change!...........LOL perhaps as soon as tomorrow! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />...............see, it's already changed....I left out NEWELL!!! I don't want to come across the wrong way (guess I shouldn't have chosen a member name that would associate me with anyone) but Nick Newell has a lot to offer this team. He is super fast lefty in the outfield with a good glove, he has quick hands and bat speed at the plate, he has more desire to play baseball than most, and I hear he's got awesome parents! LOL
  6. DC still has two lefties that were in the line up in both of today's games. Starks, sophomore and Newell, freshman -- both played outfield and both are pitchers as well........both decent hitters.
  7. From what I can see all the media and CoachT state the following: "Buzzer-beater lifts Dyer County into Class AA semifinals" Seems pretty simple to me................Dyer County moves on to the semifinals. Doesn't mention anything about a CPA win or moving on. Beatin' a dead horse here I think. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  8. There is lots of good sportsmanship in here but after reading your comments I don't think that is exactly what you are looking for.
  9. The girls should have been ask to leave. The barking was immature. She was mad, I looked at her because she was making a fool of herself mouthing at someone to sit down. She leaned forward and barked for a good 60 seconds.....was almost foaming at the mouth. It was hilarious though. Yep, I'd be upset but I know that every school has immature, annoying people that you just have to overlook. Again, if they were using profanity someone should have had them removed from the stadium...or at least from your side. (18-19, yep they are still immature too! but give them no right to do what they did) Please do not judge the Peabody fans by that because for each of those 3 bad ones, there are 100 good ones, I promise!!!! (as it is with the Milan fans because I know SEVERAL!) It's become a great rival.
  10. best reply yet. Thank you, although I did absolutely nothing other than cheer them on from my bedroom--listening to the radio. I love K.Harper! He's a fantastic young man, on and off the field! He's a class act all the way around! As a matter of fact, all the top names you hear in Peabody football are classy young men! thedawg44...............it sounded like one heck of a game! You guys will be back again next year. Always do...year after year.
  11. "B" word? You not fond of BAND? I think Band is a wonderful thing, you shouldn't knock it. Yes, I complained about the announcers................would you want to listen to a Milan-Peabody game that was being broadcast by a Peabody fan? doubt it. And if they were using profanity someone should have had them removed......they were just 3 teenage girls. The announcers are grown men. Not that they did a bad job, just that it's hard to listen to a broadcast that is totally for the opposing team. I just think it should be a little more ................ little less one sided that's all. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  12. You've got to be kidding me! You are upset over 3 teenage girls? As far as someone saying "GET OVER IT" that could have been directed to somone else.............like a bulldog complaining about something....??? AND I bet you've NEVER heard a Milan supporter direct a negative or "classless" comment to the opponent! You are right, there are bad apples in EVERY group..........like the one Milan mother that BARKED at me at the Div II Band competition a couple of years ago. I gotta give it to her though, she made the entire crowd laugh!!!!
  13. Wow......this is a great post. Milan football players should never, EVER hang their heads. They have proven themselves time and time again! They are known for GREAT football and always will be! I'm very glad though to see the Tidemen ROLL on to the next level.
  14. No penalties on Trenton? Were you there? I heard on the radio a PI for a 15 yard penalty did the announcers make a mistake?
  15. WAY TO GO PEABODY!!!! WHY IS IT THAT THE ANNOUNCERS HAVE TO BE FROM MILAN EVERY TIME? I DON'T EVEN WANT TO LISTEN TO THE GAME ON THE RADIO BECAUSE THEY ARE SO ONE SIDED. GRACE BROADCASTING NEEDS TO REALLY LOOK INTO THIS AND GET SOMEONE THAT IS NOT FROM EITHER TOWN TO ANNOUNCE AND SEND THE MILAN ANNOUNCER/SUPPORTERS TO A DIFFERENT GAME OR BETTER YET, GIVE THEM THE NIGHT OFF TO SIT IN THE STANDS!
