    The kid is reportedly brilliant and graduates at Christmas. He’s an early enrollee for college. That’s not shabby if you ask me. Clay County has had a lot of great basketball players. Have they EVER had a kid transfer from another place? They probably have since they have such a great program. 
     

    He definitely helped win a gold ball. I wish we would have thrown him the ball more though. He only played a quarter vs Clay County. That game outcome is the same regardless. Wallace was out that night as well. 

    Pretty sure their RB was new this year

    Wet conditions conducive for turnovers. QB playing on one leg , One of the best LB’s in 1A if not the best playing on one leg,Tragic death in our Pirate family 7 hours before kickoff,  LB taking over at QB taking over the game. Yeah…It was a heck of a game!

I don’t see a team without Seniors making it there but South Pitt will be South Pitt don’t get me wrong. Not impossible without Seniors but generally speaking it doesn’t happen often. I am just keeping it real

     

    30 sophomores and Freshman on this team… without a doubt a bunch of future studs in the making. Things good in Pirate land!

    Lol….you need to visit Orme sometime. I  went to School with 2 ole boys from Parsons back in the day. Went home with them a couple of times and man did we party on the River. That was 50 years ago and they both still fine citizens there. Met a lot of people there and they good folks.

    I’m proud of my Pirates. Wished Kam had  been 100 % so the state could have seen seen him at his best.

    9 in the box, Everyone knew he was getting the ball and he still couldn’t be stopped. Played every down on defence with a dominant performance.  You look up football player in the dictionary you should see #8’s picture.

    McKenzie wasn't the best 1A football team from the west talentwise. From the start of the season with a thumping of Huntingdon, to making the championship game by "upsetting the favorites", then losing to a very stout South Pittsburg team by one score, I'd say that this year's coaching job by Comer was better than winning it all last year with a team full of kids who were there the year before and picked by most to be back and win it. The old quandary applies here..."did the coach get out coached and lose, or did he do a great job to get his team there to begin with?" I'm going to say that my vote is for the latter.

    He did a great job! Should be Coach of the year in my book
