  1. I wish I could make it to this game. Both QBs are very talented in their respective divisions. In the recent past CPA has struggled in the trenches with the Division II schools (BA scrimmage,MBA last year). That changes everything. If ECS controls the line of scrimmage Connor Lowery will have less time to make reads, the running lanes will close up for him and the RB, then the secondary will start to cheat towards the line disrupting the short passing routes. If the line can block for him and the RB then it will be a great game between two great QBs and two great schools. CPAs defense sees Adam Currie everyday in practice and ECS sees Connor Lowery everyday in practice. I hope CPA can pull it off, but the Division II schools are just bigger and faster.
  2. See post 16. My bad for not clarifying. I agree with you. From what I can gather, as of today there are only 3 QBs in the state of TN with offers: Curt Phillips (Wisconsin-verbal commitment) Randall Cobb (Kentucky-verbal commitment) Adam Currie (Cornell-no commitment at this time) There are many QBs that will probably get offers by Feb 2008, but there are also some that won't that we will not understand. It happens every year. I am hoping that all of the ones listed in these posts will get some sort of offer (D1-A/D1-AA/D2/etc). The scouts/coaches can see who is truly good and who looks good because of the competition they play, an incredible o-line, great RBs, great WRs, or all of the above. I am amazed sometimes when I look on Rivals and see a QB with horrible stats that plays for a losing team with many offers from solid schools. Hopefully we will all be on here come February talking about how proud we are to have so many QBs from TN playing at the next level. There are a lot of TN QBs getting looks this year.
  3. In post 16 I meant to reference the 3 from the East (Cobb, Burnette, and Phillips). I was just adding 3 QBs from West(Currie) and Middle TN (Mason,Lowery).
  4. This should be a great game. Last years score was deceiving since DCAs running back got hurt early in the second half. DCAs QB looks like he has improved a lot since last years game too. They must find a way to contain the potent CPA offense to win this game. I see this game becoming a shootout if DCA can effectively run and throw like they did last week. CPA 42 DCA 35
  5. Agree 100% with these three from the East. Adam Currie of ECS in the West is a great all around QB. Deante Mason of Pearl Cohn in Middle TN is an incredible athlete, but wants to play QB at next level. Connor Lowery of CPA in Middle TN is very similar to Adam Currie, smart and dual threats, and will battle each other in a few weeks.
  6. Alcoa is one of the most talented 2A teams that I have seen in a long time. Even if they take a step down this year they might be better than the rest of the 2A teams. I am a fan of CPA and hope they can make a deep run, but we can't seem to get past Goodpasture. Hopefully this will be their year.
  7. Obviously not a huge surprise, but BA looked very strong against a very talented CPA team a few weeks ago in a scrimmage. If BA can get comfortable with their new offense they will be hard to beat. I think the best time to beat them is in the first month of the season (not sure who they are playing). Their running back is fun to watch even if he makes your teams defense look silly.
  8. I agree with the players posted. Connor Lowery of CPA should have a strong year.
