  1. Since you feel everything is good no matter how classless, that's your opinion. The car thing I've seen and I've done it, no problem! But the other stuff was way overboard. If you can honestly tell me you seen this at other schools I would be surprised. I'm sure the fact that coach Shelton admitted his part in this will surely interest the TSSAA officals. And if you would like to make yourself feel better by throwing out childish names,so be it. I'd be willing to bet I was playing football for JC way before you were a twinkle in your mothers eye and I've seen my share of childish pranks and I'm sure I'll see more, but none beats the crap you guys pulled.
  2. Hey Mr. Genius, whose complaining. All I'm saying is, if you took time to read everything, is that whoever did whatever, were only trying to cause trouble. Also if you'll read your own coaches coments, you would see he had a hand in some of what happened. And as far your coment about goofy highschool kids, if that were indeed the case I would think that there would be crap like this at many more schools. NOT JUST COSBY!!!! I would be willing to bet, you guys will not get a red carpet welcome, but you will not see any of this in our house.
  3. Slow down on pointing fingers at Jaynes. If you took time to read the rest of his statement, you would have also read that said the backs, of which he is one, didn't show up to play either. Get your facts straight!!!
  4. Hey COACH! Intent and perseption are the problems with this practice. Your intent was to" MOTOVATE" , but the perseption was to "INJURE". Let me ask you this. If you were to come to HTOWN this Friday night and were welcomed with 3 strechers with the numbers of your QB, RB and best defensive player painted on the sheets of the strechers, how do you think your players and fans would perceive this. I'm willing to bet they would feel threatened. And just to prove this point let's take a poll. If you were a player or HHS faithful who went to the game last year. Was this perceived to be a threat? Yes or Nq!
  5. I wasn't referring to the injury to Townsend in any way. Football is football, players get hurt. I was refering to the no class taunting of nameing specific players for injury, If I remember correctly the wonderful players/students/staff/coaches allowed three numbers to be targeted to be put out of the game, numbers belonging to Adam Townsend, Steven Roop and Mike Lunceford. This is something I have never saw at any other school at any level of play in my 30+ years of attending High School football. If you see anything like that from anyone here in Hampton, just be sure to let one of our coaching staff know about, it will not be tolerated. Am I condeming all of the loyal fans of Cosby, NO WAY!! I know there are a lot of good dedicated fans down there who were probably just as upset with this practice as we were. Now I hope you can see the meaning of not in our house!!
  6. We haven't forgotten the warm reception we got in your house last year! How will this go?
  7. Amen!! Wes, wish you were cover HHS!! But good luck with the Cyclones. Tim hang in there, if my son played for Poga U, I would would pick them over the Dog's family is family!!
  8. I usually try to keep my coments strickly on what's happening on the field but I cannot let the conduct of some of the Ranger's "fans" go without comment. There were at least 2 occasions where people representing themselves as Ranger faithful tried there best to provoke a fight with Hampton fans and Hampton students. If it was only "students" I could understand, kids will be kids. But some involved were much older, although less mature. The other case involved 2 students walking between the HHS sidelines and the stands and shouting Hampton stinks, along with other very rough language. Once again boys will be boys. But this all happened beside me while I was with a 2 year old wiht me. When I asked them to watch their mouth they only laughed. I know this happens in most schools because once again, kids will be kids. But when you go to someone elses house and start this crap, then that's a whole different story!!!
  9. I am so sad that I never had the chance to see an almost "perfect", without penalties, game played by any High School team in my 29 years of following high school football. Although I'm sure it has happened, I've just not saw it myself. Usually when there are few penalties called, it's the same for both teams, NOT JUST ONE! I wasn't even at the game and I cannot say first hand how things were called, but let's just say the difference between the 2 teams total penalties is STRANGE to say the least. As for our big boys holding on every play, it's possible, but for Oneida to never hold is inconceivable.
  10. Hey, Pujo! My daughter is a senior at HHs and said our QB was very sick at school yesterday before the team left. I also had a friend at the game who was calling me with the scores at the end of evry quarter who sadi he was throwing up during the game. How's he feeling? Must be one tuff son-of-a-gun to play while that sick. Did it affect his play very much?
  11. Trust me! If we the fans and parents don't do something about this, you can bet nothing will get done. The school board just wishes Hampton would shut up and go away!!! I say we show them what a group of determined Bulldogs can get accomplished!! Count me in!!!
