I say ALCOA by 28

I think Goodpasture has put together a really good team this year. They have played very well some weeks (Lipscomb, McGavock, White House) and really bad some other weeks (CPA, Greenbrier). I think we have as good as a shot as anyone else in going to the Boro, but I honestly think that Alcoa is 28 points better than any other 3A team. Swinejuice, Milan has a excellent team this year, I think there could be a rematch.

Why would we be talking about a 4A team for the next five weeks? Goodpasture is in 3A. What does Giles have to do with Goodpasture?

Congrats Cougars on the win. Sycamore played one heck of a game, Sycamore played very well. Goodpasture looked very unprepared. I think the gold jerseys spooked the cougars, they must of thought they were CPA.

WATTABUUGG can't talk on his thread since Macon Co. has yet to win a game. I am glad that KR will be able to scramble a little more now. The training wheels have come off!!

The only way I can gauge this game is that they beat Macon Co. by 1 point, and we beat Macon Co. by 36. I know that usually means squat, but that is all I have to go by. I will have to take the COUGARS in this one!

Hey 60cheetor, I would bet that if your Macon Co. Tigers were undefeated, you would not be on this forum under another screen-name posting how unfair it is. I don't see any post on Friendship Christians boards about it being unfair for you to get beat 48-6 from a 1A school. I wouldn't be that worried about private schools that much. You haven't even won against a public this year. Public schools have handed you most of your losses. White House is a public school and will be crowning you 0-8 come Friday night. I'm sorry, I don't feel your pain. I think GP with 347 students playing Macon with 913 students is unfair, but that is how it is, if you think it should be different then go work for TSSAA and cry to them. I am ready for this game tomorrow night. This should be a good game.

Will Lipscomb be doing the live video feed this week?

I hope SC can stop the pass because the White House QB is something else. They can go 75 yards in 2 plays so hopefully SC can defend that. I haven't seen SC play this year but have seen White House play Beech & Goodpasture. They came within 1 play of beating Goodpasture (GP intercepted it in the in-zone with 2 secs left) and thought it was 3rd down against Beech and spiked the ball on 4th down in field goal range. Be prepared to go 80 yards every time WH scores because WH kicker puts it through the goal post on kickoffs. My guess would be WH will win this one.

It wasn't operational, it wouldn't stop. It ran 5 seconds long on 2 plays. That is what the ref told me after the game when I asked him, so I guess you know more than he did.

What a great game. Both side played very well. Great job Cougars coming away with the win. I know White House fans are gonna start talking about the scoreboard clock. You CANNOT go by the scoreboard. The time is kept on the field, so are the downs, and yardage. When the scoreboard said 19 secs, the refs on the field had 23 secs. ( I asked one after the game) You don't go by the scoreboard. Most High School boards don't have the ability to add sec back on there. It lost you the game last week when WH spiked it on 4th down. But Goodpasture intercepted it on 3rd down so the clock was not a factor.

Get used to the recruiting talk from White House, that is all they cry about. I went to the White house vs Alcoa game last year when I think it was something like 40-0 at halftime, that was all White House did was cry it ain't fair, they get to recruit, blah blah blah. My father had an Alabama hat on and some old guy told him he couldn't sit on the White House side since he had a "Alcoa" hat on. My father said " looks like an Alabama hat to me", it even has Alabama written across the back. Get ready for a weeks worth of recruit crying from the blue devils on this forum.

The sad thing is that Whites Creek made Goodpasture look horrible.

Way to go Cougars. We played a great game. The Cougars looked like the Cougars we are used to see. I hope we can keep this up the rest of the season. Great job Coach Martin getting the boys prepared this week and keeping the "don't give up" attitude going all game long!

Does Goodpasture recruit? NO. If a student wants to transfer to our school to get better prepared for college and just happens to be an ace on the football field, do we take him? YES

I see in today's sports page that CPA has a top 10 receiver. This should really be a great game.
