You will enjoy next year. Watch the sophomore- junior class ball out. Question is…does SP have the hogs up front!
Haven't had for a couple of years but it hasn't mattered

The last two years Marion Co games should be online. With coaching decisions that make Page's guy look like Andy Reid, Forrest more than challenged Marion. If we get a real coach hired that can start in January we will be playing in the quarterfinals in the quad that represents the east most years.
You can pin it to the top of the board. Next year Forrest will look much like the 2023 Riverside team. Big RB, dual threat QB, an all senior offensive line, and as much depth and talent in the skill positions as anyone in 2A.
Will it be the same qb? If so he has a lot of improvement to make to be a dual threat. Not much of a passing threat there imo, if he developed that Forrest would be dangerous.

First of all you’re on the good stuff if you don’t think Marion had way more talent and skill this year than they did in 2021 when they ran 90’s style offense shoe to shoe and lost to an average Watertown team when they couldn’t score a single point. I have watched Marion a lot more than you have over the last several years and was at all the state games as well but I am not going to get in a pissing contest with a fan from Forrest.
Fwiw though I would not be so quick to say Marion only has two kids. Had a freshman this year that will be a grown man next year. I do think Forrest has good size and good football players and could be considered a dark horse pick next season but Forrest can’t get out of their own way. I am just keeping it real
As a Marion fan, the talent in 21 was way higher than the talent on this past year's team. If not for the qb getting hurt that team would have went deep.

Very impressed with Upperman. They are at a big talent disadvantage, but are making this a game. Very well coached team.
True and they have given themselves a chance

That Caine man coaches like he is in the 1930s. It can only get you so far. When he was in God’s country, we tried to teacher him a passing game but he is as stubborn as a mule.
Seems like he has done well, he left sequatchie because of limited athletes he had. Left for greener pastures.

Pearl County undisciplined but just a matter of time before they started to flex their muscles. Upperman shouldn't be in this game and I was shocked when I saw upperman up at the half.

McKenzie used their helmets to cause 2 fumbles border line spearing so go play your violin in a dark closet.
That's an ignorant statement. Hat to the ball, textbook tackles.
Comer strikes again.
Mckenzie isn't very impressive.
Farrior completely put this team on his back. Congrats!!

I thought, and still think, that Murfreesboro is the best venue and location to hold the championships. But the actual Clinic Bowl was by far one the best of charities that proceeds could go to. Do any charities get the money now?
Yeah, tssaa.......lol

All I know is this. And if anyone can game plan, it’s Comer.
I disagree with this. Stone has already severely out coached Comer two years ago when the rebels were heavy favorites, I look for the same thing to happen this year.

Boy did Auburn crap the bed today
Got to put pressure on there on the last play. Ignorant to just rush three and make those dbs cover for 10 seconds .

Highly doubt any team in the state has better athletes than Fairly. If they were disciplined, they wouldn't just be FAIRLY, they'd be GREAT.
What offers do they have. I know er has kids with tn, mz, ky offers bit bottom line is if you stop the rb then you will beat er. He is the motor that makes them go.

how many D1 offers does Groves have?
Not as many as he will have.

I have said all along that this team wasn't as good as those teams. coaching or player wise. Those teams were more driven and better diciplined. I also said the ride ended last week. I am more of a realist than most fans and get chastized for it routinely. Er had at least the top 4 kids on the field. We dont have any d1 kids. Maybe 1AA. It is what it is. There has to be lots of improvement across the board for this bunch to get by the 3rd round next year.

120 yards in penalties, horse collar in the end zone after a TD (called), kicking a player in the head when the player is on the ground (uncalled), 2 15-yarders after one play, they had enough to overcome it last night but that stuff will give them no shot against Giles. Wished Seq’s leading tackler had been in there, went out late vs Tyner and was having an outstanding 9th grade season (also on offense) but it happens. Hoping the teams meet in the postseason next year.
Figured this post was coming.....lol. Giles by 2 tds

This job could be appealing to a coach who wants to compete for region titles for the next four seasons (at least) and have a shot at playing late into November. Toughest games on next year's schedule are at Marion Co and hosting Gordonsville. Region 4 hosts thru the semis next season.
Depth, skill, and experience will all be there. Returning players for Forrest will be a junior and a senior QB who have both started a season of high school ball. Four out of the five starting offensive lineman return. Forrest may have 4 out of the top 5 backs in Region 4 2A next season and they will be 9th, 10th and 11th graders. One RB will be at least 6'3" 200 pounds next season. He was grossly underused. We may have one of the fastest players in 2A.
Forrest should be able to compete for the top spot in the region. My, opinion, from an outsider prospective is the above is a Homer's point of view. They will definitely compete, but I still say Marion will have 2 of the top 5 backs in the region, so maybe yall have 3 of 5. In my opinion if you are going to run a modern offense, you better find a qb, because that was yalls Achilles heel against mc, didnt really have one that could spin it. Hard to run that type of offense with no threat of a pass. Good luck on the coaching hire, it is always an exciting time when there is an opening. The middle school coach may be great or maybe not. There is a huge difference between middle and high school. I hope the school don't settle just because he is familiar with the program. If what General said is true then it may be hard to make the right hire with the administration thats in place.

Wonder what ER's passing stats were against Marion Co
Not very good. They didn't have to pass though. I don't think with the smith defense they will have that luxury, qb play will be very important.

Offensive play calling needs to go back to drawing board next season. I am just keeping it real
Well we'll well what do we have here, isn't that what I have been saying?

Lots of things to improve on if they want to beat this team next year. Lt got abused all night for mc by Groves. Not sure why he didn't have a little help. They had to have 10 sacks. Good luck to er. I thought they would represent the east but after all the penalties it looks like smith. Safe travels home
-
This game is eerily similar to the title games when mc was battling trezvant. Couldn't stop Richardson and now can't slow Groves who you know is getting it every time. Definitely a one man show on offense and they can't do anything about it.
-
You know what set that drive up? Catching a freaking punt
-
I would say either would take some

Groves right, Groves left. Tough to stop

Be up two tds since they have only had one possession. Mc hurt themselves at the 5 with an offensive facemask
