They gave up a lot of big plays.  Qb went out in the late 2nd qtr.  Apparently he makes all the tackles for them.

That's the funniest thing anyone has ever said.  Those 94 and 95 teams would probably mercy rule this team.  This team wouldn't score on those.

Marion definitely had more athletes overall.  Cascade had some nice looking kids also.  They have one lineman that is a power five recruit I believe but he wasn't overwhelmingly good.

That seq game showed a glimpse of how good this Marion team could be.  Then there are other games that have shown how bad it could be, like dade or Forrest.  For them to get where they want to be the offense has to be more diverse and not so predictable.   Notice your coaches calling out the offensive plays that Marion will run tonight.  Like the sequatchie head scratcher, one for me would be cascade vs huntland early in the season.  How in the world do you barely scrape by them?  Cascade has some good looking athletes, thats for sure, maybe they just aren't well coached?

Marion is truly a jekyll and Hyde.  The frustrating thing is as much talent as they have, they are way too predictable.   Very little misdirection in the offense and teams know what they are running when they line up.  That usually spells doom by rd 2 of the playoffs.  I wouldn't be surprised to see this team squeak by the first rd game and lose in the second rd.  Very talented squad though.
