  1. WOW....you just don't get it. I assume you are a Centennial grad? A lot of people believe CHS was a better all around team when Drew was out. They had very balanced scoring, meaning 3-5 guys were in double figures and they played more like a team. Now that Drew is back you see that one man team thing happening again. I know last night Allante had a high scoring night. The first time we play you guys we were more concerned with Allante than we were Drew. The way you beat Centennial is to let Drew have his 20 points and stop everybody else. So if you are happy with that and having the MVP, well, That's Great!!!!
  2. Maybe Metro Ball Boy can slither his way out from underneath his rock and tell us. I think they were skeeered!!!!
  3. You are right, the topic is Player of the Year. What Mr. Harrick and I are saying is that we would much rather have the TEAM that we have rather than an individual award. I realize you sometimes have a hard time grasping what we are trying to say, so let me spell it out. You can have your MVP, we'll take the championship for the regular season and probably the tournament, again. You are not going to win any champioships without more than a player or two.
  4. Yeah, and where did that get them. TEAM is what it is all about. That is why Coach Johnson is going to win another Coach of the Year award, because he has the theam concept and his players buy into it. You very rarely see the MVP and Coach of the Year coming from the same team. MVP is an individual award, whereas Coach of the Year comes from assembling a team. We have the best coach!!!!
  5. What game were you at? CHS was never within 6 points the entire second half. Defensively we put the clamps on Allante (who is the top scoring guard in the District) and Kelly scored the majority of his points off second chance rebounds. Michael Young was awesome, and defensively he held Allante to 2 points. everybody keeps doubting us and we just keep winning. Great effort Rebels!!!!!!
  6. This just in......Kevin is not our only three point shooter.
  7. Home-boy?....WOW. You are not even worth replying to anymore. Like we have all asked you before, start a D12 thread and go leave us alone. HOME-BOY???
  8. I said Thank You and I appreciated some kind words about "my boys". Not too sure about the grow and mature comment though, that wouldn't be any fun.
  9. They did match up agianst them pretty good that year. They split against them during the regular season, one being a Rebels OT win on the Burros home floor, before the HHS blowout win in districts.
  10. Thanks Ballin, it is nice to get some nice comments out of you. I wouldn't say again though.
  11. The Rebels are due for a big night. They have not played a complete game in quite a while, so hopefully they will come out and play all four quarters. Rebels by 11
  12. WOW, you are really searching for something now. You have some serious mental and emotional problems. Let's see. You have one great team over there, and I can be a man and at least admit it, not like you. Your third place team can't even have a winning record in your weak district, your third place team got beat by an 0-11 team. That would be like one of our top 3 teams getting beat by Hillwood. We didn't go to sissy Christmas tourneys like all but one of your teams, we went to a tournament and played teams like Antioch is going to be. We will fear your little weak D12 like we did last year when we won 2 out of 3 against those little sisters. If I remember correctly we beat the mighty Raiders and made it to the championship game, not like the rest of the pretenders in that district. If we are so weak over here, how in the world did we get through the D12 until the final game when we got beat by a better team. Find some new material about Philly, you have used the Cheesesteak reference too many times.
  13. What are you talking about, you are the one bragging and cutting down people and then you get all philosophical on us. Talking about examples for all of us, Metro needs to find a way to be GOOD examples and support their teams in the right way, by attending games and cheering for their respective teams. I see you are going out on a limb and picking D12 to win the region (Anticoh). If you would ever just read the post that people write, you will see we all are saying that Antioch has the best team and SHOULD win region. And then they will probably go to Murfreesboro and lose like all the other D12 teams that go there and are supposed to win it.
  14. You need a tissue? You can dish it out, but you sure can't take it. You need to look back and see who started this cutfest, it was you, check it out. We are just normal basketball fans out supporting our boys, and all you do is put them down. You like to run your mouth about every team in our district, but has never come out and said what team you like in D12. It was McGavock for a while, but I am sure you have jumped off that bandwagon. By the way. you are not the first to call me grumpy. haha
  15. Metro doesn't even know who he pulls for. He just takes the whole D12 district.
  16. Well, let's put it this way. They did NOT make it to the, as Metro Idiot puts it, the Region-Ship. Franklin did. They made it out of that so called weak D11 to play in the Region Championship.
  17. Well, well, well, look who has crawled out from underneath his rock, Metro Moron. We all know Antioch is very good, this year, but everybody else in the "one team only" D12 is beatable. Every prediction you have made about Franklin has been wrong, so keep it up, you are doing a great job. You either need to go back on that mission trip (those poor people), or start helping out with riot control in the Metro parking lots.
  18. That was one of those games when you never worried about losing. FHS played horrible, but we never thought we would lose this one. Even at halftime when we trailed, we know we would be alright. Our 3 leading scorers had 4 points combined and still we were only down by 5. Morris and Fletcher was pretty much all they had, scoring 37 of their points. That win clinched another District 11AAA crown. Now the next question is when is Lockridge going to write another article downplaying the success of the Rebels. Congrats to Coach Johnson, Ruck, Booker, and all the players and staff and lets keep it rolling and prove to all these people that they are wrong about us.
  19. Just don't know how Ravenwood is going to keep it within 10 points. If Coach Johnson allows it, Rebels by 23.
  20. You didnt read the post. Jeff has written articles like this about FHS athletics in the past. Franklin got out of the district last year made it to the Region championship and then to the substate before losing to the eventual state runner-up. Not too bad, but apparently Mr. Lockridge or yourself do not think that good enough. We will just keep rolling along, playing hard and we will remember you people over the next 2 seasons and bring this topic bck up.
  21. To all Coach Harrick said, I will ditto it and add some to it. It is very difficult for a high school team to go 47 league games and not get beat. They have had to go to overtime several times during the streak and has had to face several ket injuries during this span. It doesn't matter how bad the district may be, 47 is incredible and most high school teams would love to be in this situation. I have said many times on these boards. You better get us now because you won't get us later, as in next year. 98.6% of our scoring and all other stats are coming from underclassmen, which is another incredible thing. Every night they are gunning at us and we just keep getting the job done, some how. We probably should not be getting upset about the article because we must remember who wrote it. A few years back Jeff wrote a similar article about he FHS volleyball team which my daughter played on. He pretty much bashed them for not being able to play with the big teams. I asked Jeff how many matches he had attended that year and he said,"duhhh, none. We made all the way to the state semi-finals that year. That is who we are dealing with here, as second rate wanna be reporter.
  22. Well, I shouldn't even respond to this stupid guy....but I will. So you think I am some Franklin dad? You also thought one time that I was actually Coach Johnson. Remember this quote,"I know who you are". I am not a Franklin dad, just a Franklin supporter. You are just upset because we pointed out to you that you are not a college scout. Maybe an adult out scouting liitle boys. Is that where you got the on all fours from, or did your boyfriend teach you that technique. Sorry Centennial, you guys are next. He started with Ravenwood, now its Brentwood and the mad scientist and I am sure he will come to you guys next. Good Luck supporting the BRUNIS.
  23. What in the world does Jeff Lockridge know. He is a second rate writer for a horrible sports department at the Tennessean. He has probably seen 2 of the Rebels game during the streak. I watched as he tried to interview Coach Johnson the other night. He had no clue what questions to ask and all he wanted to talk about is the streak. Fine, the streak is bland. The only ones talking about it are morons like you and your BOY Lockridge. Now, go back underneath your rock where apparently you spend most of your time. Go Raiders. They have had a great season since the controversial win over the Rebels. Whites Creek and now Hunters Lane which we beat by 40 in summer camp. Great Job D12 outside of Antioch.
