Did McNairy have a QB that was highly recruited a few years back?
you may be thinking about Finnally ..offensive tackle that played for UT -HE MADE THE ALL SEC TEAM AS AN OFFENSIVE TACKLE

How will this game turn out? I know North Side is coming off a good region win. What players do we need to be looking for to shine?
With pre-season hype of DHS Trojans "O" and somewhat lacking on "D". its been the "D" to shine thusfar. However the "O" starting to jell in last half of Haywood game last week will make them Go as predicted. Look for a barn-burner . No names in particular on Trojans as they play team ball =All for one,One for all . DHS has many above average players on both sides of the ball. GO TROJANS!!

You are correct.Humboldt,Tn late 40"s... also Phillip KING ala= "The Chief" as he became to be known from Dyersburg,Tn .. mid 50"s. went to Vandy were he was All-AMERICAN two years; played on NY Giants in their glory years ,played in infamous NFL Championship game against J.UNITAS n Balitimore Colts.. latter years of his career played for the Vikings. He was called "The Chief" because he was half Cherokee Indian, He was Competely unstoppable in h.s.,college in the" Good Ole Days" of the Single-wing. Doug Akins was a beast in h.s.,college,and pro ball= HALL OF FAMER

All im getting is errors on all three classes. Trried several times ..go nothing. it doesnt really matter this early in the year or otherwise. your team has to advance each game till you lose or win at the Boro. GO DHS TROJANS!!

CHOCTAWS coming off a very Impressive win last nite against H-don certainly has eyes reeling from pre-season woe -is-us predictions. uumm! got everyone thinking twice about these young men in Orange and White. Not a one dimentional team either with skill players,Desire,playing Hard as in years of "OLE"= one for all ,all for one. these young men can play f/b with anyone ,should they continue on the path they have paved thus far. DC 38- Mc CO - 19. GO CHOCTAWS !!

It was with Great Pleasure to see the Trojan "Black Watch DEFENSE" Stand Tall all the way thru the game. VERY IMPRESSIVE ! I was concerned how the "D" would hold up against an offensive threat as Haywood poses. Too many turnovers (5) hurt the DHS "O" time and again. Offensively DHS having to adjust with 2 different type qbs n "O" systems, wing-t n power I. However kudos to Trojans players,coaches for "Never giving " up. Great game by all! "Together We Attach" is still a Trojan Tradition Im proud to see year in year out by players and coachs. To Coaches Bowling,Kennedy,Newsom,etc.=Standing Tall in D"BURG! Haywood has nothing to hang their heads down. Appears to be a DHS / HAYWOOD Stand-off till seasons end, Cant count our eggs too early tho, its a long season with ALL teams in Region 7-3AAA looking over the horizon to Never Take for Granted. How Bout them Orange and White Choctaws!! Great game Tomcats, we"re sure to meet again ,provided other 7-3AAA teams have anything to say bout it as Im sure they will. GO TROJANS !

highly unlikely parker will play, although he will practice this week.....
parker makes dburgs offense twice as good and will stretch the defense to the limits......
this game is for the drivers seat for the region championship......more than likely, THERE WILL BE A ROUND 2 REMATCH.......the rematch will mean the opportunity to play the next week.......
so don't look for parker to play........until he is 100% ready...... this friday night is a big game......... win or lose for EITHER TEAM does not mean that the season is over..... if and when they meet in the playoffs, it will be do or die......

does it really matter if parker plays this week as Trojans are just fine w/o him. its best to have him 100% at end of the season...keep em guessing whats coming later in the playoffs with him. hes a plus +++ for Trojans when he returns with all options he brings to the table= Trojans are a definite offensive machine with Parker,Cardwell,Taylor,Cunninham,Ellis,Click,and the ever-growing list of Dburg running attach. ?? is the defensive side of ball that willl only get better every game.. to those that think Trojans will wear down due to size of oppostion= .No one has better conditionong than the Black Watch Men In Black "O" or "D". Nuff said ! Go Trojans

If you want the best Friday night atmosphere, come to Paul Ward stadium in Huntingdon this Friday. Milan and Huntingdon at Paul Ward...what a way to start a season.
I whele-heartly agree to both these outstanding programs f/b Tradition n stadiums filled with enthusiam like none other in W.Tn. Dyersburg also has a wonderful atmosphere that buzzes with Exticement over their Men of Troy = Trojans year in year out. DHS Sawyers Stadium is 2nd to none !! GO TROJANS!
