formerblazer, got the good draw? I wouldn't knock Knox Catholic. They were every bit as good as the three of us. They thought they were gonna take us outback and we were ready to play ball that's all.

I knew you were going to say that...draw is in draw of luck and draw of quick off the draw. Your first game was one of the easier by all accounts, Knox Cath had you beat but they couldn't get the job done, and you had the game plan for us. Simple enough so draw for that. I think that we could have been in the third round regardless if we are here or not.

Interesting enough, you all did think you were rolling fairly good. As far as TN High goes with overconfidence...do you think you all could have handled them and had a different plan a second time? I personally think we lined up better against them and you lined up better against us and they lined up better against you if that is a triangle...but that is how things go and we'll never find out. I still find it hard to believe that you lost to DB...but you didn't have the St to bother them and BT must not have been clicking yet. Playing toward the back end of the season would have been more in your favor this year.

You want some cheese with that whine?

You are right though. We did have the easy draw after we played Catholic because we got to play Boone instead of TN High and South is Boone's daddy. It was fun to see all of those Boone fans leaving at the end of the 3rd quarter. I usually don't get to see so many people leave at one time like that because I'm always sitting on the South side of the DB-South game. It's much easier to see across the field what's going on. :roflol:

Batman is right though. DB should have beaten Boone by 20 points. They just shot themselves in the foot all night long.

  2.

    I smell my wife.

Get out once in awhile, whackoff. Try to learn something new. Good luck with Maryville in the future. :thumb:

Did I strike a nerve? :? I did learn something new the other day. South is actually the one and done Kings. South......King of the one & done!!! :D

I'm not like you. I don't get riled up over a comment on a message board. Good try though. I could have sworn South has a game this Friday and DB doesn't. Anyway, I'm done with you. You're no competition and I don't want to ruin this thread. Come on out Friday night and give South your $4. I know you don't have any other game to go to. :D

  3. Went to the Catholic/ Mo West game and I thought Catholic maybe played there most complete game of the year besides the fumbles in the secong half. Defense played good and for the first time since the first of the year, Catholic looked like they played inspired and actually looked fired up to play. I have not seen Sullivan South play but have read about them and talked to a couple people about them and from what I hear Sullivan South is not one of the top 3 or 4 teams Catholic has played this year. (Farragut, Bearden, Maryville)

    Glad those teams are 6A.

  4. Sorry guys, I meant to set this up for you last Monday. Thoughts, suggestions from wannabe coaches such as waco and db71 would be appreciated by GC. :roflolk:

Just a reminder to those DB fans that don't keep up, "w1ldcat" is a "DB Hater". This thread is more than likely a place to make fun of DB rather than take suggestions or thoughts. Might have known Batman would of fell for it.

There is already a real thread started on DB football.

Then your 100% incorrect.I thought for Wildcat to start this thread and then to say he meant to start it last week was the coldest thing he has wrote about DB in a while.

At least somebody has a sense of humor. Hope your son goes on to do great things, Batman. Good luck to your devils as well.

I think alot of people on here need to realize that we're talking about high school football and there are more important things in life. I would never want anyone else to go through what the Sullivan South players and parents have this year but many of you need to realize that this is only a game.

It's fun to poke the DB people and get them fired up and have them come back and do the same but in the end it's just high school football. I sometimes wonder why it even bothers you when a South fan makes comments because you've beaten us like a thousand times in a row. Anyway, good luck next year and try not to get one of those lower seeds so you won't get put out in the first round again. Oh wait, it doesn't really matter if you're a 7 seed or a 1 seed, does it? The outcome was still the same.

Play the tuba, boys!!! One and done, one and done!!!! :roflol:

  5. In most cases when someone is wrong 80% of the time eventually they will fade away to where ever all the wrong people fade away to. But Crap1 just keeps churning it out. Its really simple why Clark has rode Sensabaugh's back for two years. A weak offensive line. Sensabaugh is the only back we have than can stand up to the continued beating week after week. And he has played hurt most of the season and still rushed for over 1,000 yrds. About 800 of that was after getting hit in the backfield.

His body will start to break down at the age of 25 next year. You can't stay young forever.

  6. Its hard to argue Maryville has not had the best record in TN over the last 10-12 years. Because they have. I am a DB fan. We all know DB is down this year. DB scrimmages Maryville, plays MBA, Oak Ridge, Farragut, etc outside their conference to toughen up. And DB got whipped some this year. Usually vs Maryville in preseason DB losses. Cap1 and other DB haters spin this into something it is not. All DB fans know Maryville WILL and can win state at 6A, just not with so much ease. Sorry, Oakland, Riverdale, Brentwood, Franklin would just mop most 5A schools(Maryville is 6A now) . This year I think Maryville will get to semis and prob will win, but not as easy as in past.

Research this all upper East TN haters of DB. In the past 4A could get to the semis before meeting a Knoxville team. DB usually meets these Knox in the 1st round. Check your record against teams west of Morristown, sad. Now this year 5A has better teams for you early, but still not too tough. DB never said Maryville was a non factor in 6A, they know better. I remember TN High in 04 getting ran over, and South as well soon after

Here's the problem with your statement. In the past, each time a time from upper east TN played a team west of Morristown it was Maryville. We didn't get teams of lesser caliber in the first round like DB has in years past (choke choke) Just like you will see this week, Maryville is a different animal than the rest of the state.

So just because you play a team during the first round, it shouldn't count for anything? That's funny you say that because you all seem to have a lot of trouble with those Knoxville teams in the first round. And don't start saying that the competition is better in your classification because that's the reason for the classifications. Schools with enrollment over 2000 play other schools with the same enrollment. There's a reason that Tn High and South aren't in 6A. Learn how to count, BUD!! :thumb:

Play the tuba, boys!!!! One and done, one and done!!! :roflol:

  7. I think the question here will be how many points Boone can score, because Mo East will score some points. Tremendous speed and quickness. They're averaging over 30 points a game. MoWest held them to one TD and Jeff County gave up only two. Scored three TD's on a pretty good Austin-East team and at least four in the the other six games. How good is Tee --- he has 108 touches on rushing, passing, receiving and kickoff returns for a total of 1,647 yards...15.3 per touch. Defense has been decent againt run and not very good against teams that can throw. How well can the Blazers move through the air?

if that is the 10 I remember from two yeras ago...Boone may very well have a long night ahead of them. I hear you all had a different QB last week and he is very good as well. From what I've seen this year, they have two QB with great arms and at least 4 recievers that can catch it pretty well (Except for TN High, we dropped easy passes they caught impossible passes).

The question with offensive teams vs defense of Boone was basically them giving up few points this year except to TN High. Every other team was held below ...20 pts? Two shut outs I know of, DB only scored 14, a few other teams had low scores except South put 35 up against our 28 in OT. There are....5 or 6 RB who share time that we have seen so you will see a ton of subs go in and out so Boone will be fresh going into the 4th at skill positions.

How's about your D this year?

    South had 35 against you.

  8. Play the tuba boys!!!! One and Done, One and Done. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

You all may not like Cap1 but he's speaking the truth. DB fans have said over the past few years how Maryville wouldn't be winning those championships at a higher level and how DB has always played Maryville tough in scrimmages. Just look at the earlier post with the moron saying that DB would have beaten them in the scrimmage if not for the turnovers. Well, now you get your shot and you want to play nice with the Maryville people because you know you are coming home with an L.

And Huck Van Buss is still my favorite basketball coach of all time.

  9. well batman sorry dude i hate to in form u but uall will b lucky to even take a glimpse at the playoffs the rebs has got yall by a long shot and faragut yeah they wil be tough but i think south has probly got one of the best teams in east tn along side TH. DB 7 SS alot sorry to break your heart

These kinds of years are few and far between for the DB.I'm not happy with our record this year, but it's been a great overall ride becoming a Tribe dad.The only other school in east Tennessee that took the field as the #1 team in the largest public school class, has been Farragut over the last couple of years. It's been great going to places like Oak Ridge and all the Knoxville area schools.Having the scrimmage with Maryville every year is pretty neat too.I'm just happy for these seniors to have been a part of a great team last year.Knowing the schedule and the youth on this team,a lot of seniors could have cut and run,but they are out there trying hard to help this program.DB will be back and reign as it has for so long in this part of the state.A Gate city fan was giving me a hard time the other day, saying things like{ send that boy over and win a state championship}.I smiled and said that he would rather be 1 and whatever, but wear the maroon and grey.

Gate City? Or be held back and play high school ball as a year older over there in Gate City as it is common practice.

Just curious how old your star running back CS is now? :thumb:

  10. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will somebody please break out the violins for these DB crybabies!!!!!!!!!!! Just face it… the MLC came to play this year. There’s nothing wrong with your coach other than he’s getting lazy against the local teams that you guys have run shotgun over for the last several years. I’ll say it one more time… read my lips… YOU DON’T HAVE THE PLAYERS THIS YEAR!!! You can try to rationalize your way around it if you want to, but the fact is CS is by himself this year… and the secret is out. WaCo I know you and your buddies are going to insist that the talent to win is still there at DB this year… and to that I say show me the money. Let’s see somebody outside of CS make real headlines at DB this year. You don’t see the drop in quality skilled position players on this team because it doesn’t happen at DB very often. But now that all the kids that usually make up the big numbers on the sidelines at DB are getting tired of just that (sitting on the bench), parents are getting wise and looking for other opportunities (South, North, etc…) and are not settling for just being a part of the mighty DB Indian “winningest school in the State with no Gold Balls” tradition  (LOL). And for most of them that decision has paid off big time. They may not be part of that bigger than life tradition at DB, but their kids are getting to play, and in most cases becoming standouts… and being recognized. Definitely a rational trade off IMO. And who made the LUDICROUS statement that Gram Clark has been getting out coached for years?! How ridiculous!! You clowns are so wrapped up in your own world. It’s offensive to here some of your propaganda!!! If anything, Gram Clark has been turning water into wine for the last three or four years. That’s right… over achievers!!!

Just take these butt kickins this year like men (because you have to know you have at least two more coming courtesy of the ol’ Mountain Lakes Conference) :roflol: lorl. Some may be good sports or whatever, and give you guys a pass this year… but I’m not one of them!!!!! Lol All the crap the rest of us have had to deal with over the last… heck I can’t remember when the DB faithful (many…not all) haven’t had an arrogant attitude toward the rest of us commoners. Well… KARMA… that’s all I have to say!!!

You crack me up, Cap!! Don't give them a free pass. It's so fun to see them fighting with each other. Look at the bright side though, maybe you won't have to worry about one and done this year. :thumb:

  11. Hi Ya'll! Haven't logged on all week until today so I just read the back log and now up all caught up. These are the things I've learned:

    1. I should be glad my son is brown. He is also very fast- especially when he's running from me. With these two qualities, I'm certain that he will now be Florida State's #1 recruit next year. He will need me to move to Tally to keep an eye on him. I'll begin packing now!

    2. Seth Watterson is fantastic. We love him. We love him when he catches a pass. We love him when he drops them. We love him because he's a great kid that wears that Rebel Jersey and gives us all something to do on Friday night. I also have extra Taylor Girls that I would like to arrange marriage with Seth. Play it tonight, #1!

    3. Band players and band parents are different that football players and football parents. My husband is a past band nerd (drums) but now is a proud football parent. Should we be sitting apart? I think it would be safest after reading the posts. (I have blue hair and a big mouth, so he doesn't want to sit with me anyway.) /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

    4. It's really going to be cold tonight. Us FSU fragile alums do not fair well in cold. Could someone bring me hot chocolate and a tanning bed to watch from?

    5. I really wish I knew a lot of technical stuff about football so I could sound smart like COMP, but, alas.... Barb & I are just the sweethearts of Coach T. Except Barb really knows some football stuff-- go Barb!

    6. NO one will be yelling louder than me tonight. I will be wearing Dylan's #5 jersey. For some history, my little brother was an old Rebel #5, Josh Morrison, he actually holds a South record for interceptions. Now the only thing he can catch is a cold. Anyway--- if you think you can out yell me, bring it.

    7. The twins played a horrible joke on Bobby this morning- they didn't tell him he had a delay or was out....they let him put his little tie and shirt on, come down, eat breakfast, do his chores...and then they told him! Paybacks since they go to JC Schools and we are never out! /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

    8. I brought two boys from my 3rd grade class to the game last week. They want to be Rebels when they grow up. This is funny because they go to JC Schools and wore the Rebels Bobby T #2 Tshirts all day then went with their teacher to the South game. So, I'm doing a good job recruiting kids from Science Hill early. My Friday newsletter to parents was titled "Why did the Hilltoppers cross the road? To see SOUTH in the playoffs, baby!"

    Rebel Nation

    Pray for a heat wave!

    Love, the Bobby Mama #2

    "The Sweetheart of Coach T"

I knew I recognized you from somewhere. It's been bugging me for about a month. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Can't wait to feel those nice warm metal bleachers on my tushy tonight. Hopefully the snow won't keep people away. At least now I know two people that will be pumped up and cheering. Let's get em going tonight.

  12. There is no thread that cares what he has to say. Oh wait, The Inner Circle Jerk needs him to be pivot man! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

For the last time, rebelrebelman said you can NOT join. Just give it up, please!! Melrose by 2 touchdowns!!!!!!! Go Melrose, ummmmm, whatever you all are. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
