  1. Congrats to Brentwood on a successful season. However it is very disappointing that one of the Williamson County teams could not make it to the championship game this year. There was a fine tradition set before you and you failed to live up to it. For the amount of money that goes into these programs, it is hugely disappointing. Oh well time to start preparing for next year.

  2. In a differnt thread there was a mention of d-coordinator Bennett taking a leave of absence. He was not on the side-line for the MBA game. Any updates on what is happening with this situation?

Leave of absence? I heard that he quit all together.

There are gonna be some sloppy conditions Friday. Does that help or hurt us against Centennial?

Someone please elaborate on Indy's D-coordinator and the situation at hand.

  3. wait mackbrown it gets better- you called me out fro predicting the final 6 games called it a stupid post - I made little comments about each team, but I didnt say anything bout the Lavergne team (for which i dont know much about , but I figured IHS would beat them and you CALLED ME out yet again for saying INDY will win, based on me not knowing anything about Lavergne- put alas look at your April post that you made below ( please note that its okay for you to predict but not me? also gotta love your insight on your predictions , very very wrong!)

    from mack brown:

Its a good thing you arent completely serious, i would of thought you were on drugs with all the players brentwood lost, especially on defense, and how many returning starters are on Ravewood's and Indy's squads.

Indy at #6? Ravenwod at # 4? Franklin at #3? Heres what i think and why i think so.

    1. Franklin (Running game returns the dynamic duo Lee/Ford. Can the d and a qb step up?) ***** wow you told me that IHS could beat FHS and that FHS is overrated at 3-1**********

    2. Indy (Returning starters are balanced on both sides of the ball, led by 3rd year players Heckman & Stannard)

    3. Hillsboro (State Champs from last year because of 6 division 1 signing players, but with adding a new coach in the middle of spring practice be their downfall?)

    4. Ravenwood (Will still do good but with a ok amount of returners from last year and a new coach itll be tough) *******

    5. Brentwood (Graduated many seniors and starters it will be hard to rebuild with this district) ******** good pick************

    6. Centennial (After having thier best season ever and losing their best players in school history, Scales and Kelly it will be a long road for the Cougars)

Curtis Steele is Centennial's best football player ever.

  4. Depending on how a team uses 7 v 7, it can be beneficial during the off-season. However W's and L's in 7 v 7 mean nothing when it comes time for the regular season. It will be interesting to see how Indy does this year. I believe they have a solid group of young men coming back this season; however are lacking the overall team speed they had last season. I do believe there are a couple of seniors who can take their game to the next level (NAIA or Div 2) if they play to their potential this season.

  5. Well with the basketball coach being fired that leaves a spot for P.E open but i would not be surprised if he takes one of the open spots for teaching geometry. It is always a good exprience having a former nfl player as a coach, hopefully this will help out the wide recievers be just as good as the wr in 2007. Who knows, maybe Indy will off pull their own 'music city miracle' but hopefully Indy wont be one yard short of a game winning td either. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

I bet Chris Darnell and Issac Baugh are wishing they had had Coach Dyson as a receivers coach in their day. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

  6. Indy has just become a lot tougher defensively. I gotta tell though jackie is "old school"....so mommas stay home.

He demands and gets the most out of defense. He will study the other team relentlessly. I like this move by Eubanks, it shows he is a coach without ego....and I never met the guy.

Just tell me that Gates is in charge of water buckets and that's all.

    Everything you said is true, however I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basketball about Gates. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  7. does this post even really matter? if they play someone from rutherford county they automatically lose....every time.

Not really. But if you are talking about the old region as a whole I will give you this, region 6 or "the williamson county teams" were down two seasons ago in the 07-08 school year. However this past season and seasons before it has been somewhat competitive, but the nods obviously going to Rutherford County over Williamson but not by much; especially when you throw out the 07-08 school year teams.

But let's let the future speak for itself.

  8. He is by far the best D coordinator in the area. He will run a 4-3 defense and bring heat just about every play. He gives the players a lot of freedom to call there own blitzes. Indy's D just got a heck of a lot better. This a good hire for Eubanks.

Agreed. I just wonder if Indy has 7 guys up front that can get to the football. We will see though.

  9. Im not fimilar with J. Bennet who is he? and what do you mean enemy?

He was the former head coach at Page High. His last season was in 04 or 05 (I know he saw Jarod Elliot through graduation) before Palmer took over. He's a good, hard nosed, "discipline-demanding" coach. I think this is a good edition to the staff. However, he has been in retirement since then, selling real estate.

  10. In my eyes, Coach Crawford is everything you would want in a head coach. he is disciplined, hard-working,humble, energetic, and very knowledgeable. It also helps that he is a defensive genius. I know the Brentwood fans and players are happy that he remained at Bwood. I am anxious to play you guys this fall. You know it will be a barnburner. I always enjoyed scrimmaging the Bruins. They gave us a good physical match. What was that little stud that they had at QB a few yrs back that reminded me so much of Dave Thomas? His Mom was on TV.

    Bruce McCurdy

And on another note, his senior season was the best this region has ever been as far as overall level of play.

  11. I've had this screen name since I started unlike many others who post here. And just who are you little big man? Are you signed up for intramurals? I hope you do well because you're the only one I know who keeps obsessing about it. I don't know anyone else who even mentions or plays intramurals except you and some other poster who finally moved. Or maybe just changed his screen name, eh? Call 'em as I see'em and always will; even if the bandwaggoners and great 'Swamis'(name denotes ego issues I suspect) don't like it. Deal with it.

I will say this: In my opinion running a spread offense N. Smith should have been the starter. If the coach had taken a different approach to the offense and made it a more run based offense, then A. Heckman should have been the starter. I don't think it's wrong to talk about the past, but there is a future ahead that happens to be very unpredictable if you ask a lot of people over there at Indy. And that unpredictability starts with the head chief T. Campbell.

Congrats to all of the young men who played last season that just graduated.

  12. Saw where 3 of last years players signed commitments to continue playing football in college.

    C. Williams signed with Campbellsville Univ; C. Johnson and J. Norman signed with Lane College.

    Congrats to these young men. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    What positions did they play?

If memory serves me right the 07 graduating class had 5 young men go on to play college ball, the 08 class had 7, and the 09 class had 5. Not too bad for a new school, when after 3 graduating classes have had 17 players go on to the next level to play.
