  1. Not from Knoxville, but from the surrounding areas. South Doyle looks good again, but not as tough as last year. Lake City has 3 boys over 6 feet tall (#23 I believe, is real good) and they look like they could be strong. The 2 Oak Ridge schools are always tough. A suprise, Harriman is not nearly as strong as last year. I have been watching them over the years, and they could be weak this year. Oliver Springs has a shot at doing well, they beat South Doyle this summer at Oak Ridge, and Seveir Co. which is big for them. Oh yeah, Karns, super tough player who can play anywhere, about 6'1", and can play with the best. They will be tough to beeat.
  2. It is nice to see that you are optimistic, but I do not think that this year for ya'll will be that great. My nephew plays for Harriman, and yes you guys may hang tough, you cannot play with everyone. You are too young, and have more problems than just the young players "standing up" as you said. I wish you the best of luck, and can tell you that the attitude you have is the right one for your situation.
  3. You sound a little bitter "drummer515," could it be that people do not view the Kingston drumline as the best around anymore? Or is it that the OSHS line got a write-up in the paper? From where I sit it was a well deserved article, and quite accurate after waht I saw last Friday. I was in band at UT back in my day, and I can tell there are not many drumlines around, if any, that can match OSHS section for section in difficulty. Also, they play their stuff clean, and are very entertaining. While Kingston's line sounded decently clean, the difficulty was not there. The OSHS line was not only clean, but the difficulty on the feature was unreal. I do not live in Oliver Springs, or did I even go to school there, but just came to the game because I have a nephew that goes to RCHS, and wanted to see a good game. Also, who is the best line is always going to be a matter of opinion.
