I wasn't able to attend the game last night, can anyone tell me how our QB looked, Spencer?

One, if you are a Westview fan and live in Martin, all you have to do is ask. Plus, if you knew them, then you would know what is wrong with them. Two, they are minors (meaning under the age of 18). This isn't college or the NFL. I know some of the Milan players, but I don't ask them about anyone except the people I know because it is none of my business who is hurt on their team. Its just not ethical to throw out anyone's personal information to the public. Can I have your bank account number, social security number, and date of birth? Have you ever had an STD? It none of my business.

Why would you spend $100's of thousands of dollars to build and maintain a facility 1/2 the size and quality with 1/2 the parking and facilities as the one you have at your disposal.....and with all the really great seats with backs, not to mention the best visitors section that I have seen anywhere????

Again, my point being -- why don't the folks in Martin get off their wallets and build the kids somewhere to play instead of mooching off of UTM.. You don't see any of the other area schools doing this, they have a place to play that they PAYED for with tax payer funds and the little kids there at Westview deserve better.. Westview is funded by the county not the city, the property the school is on is owned by the county not the city I am fairly certain. They also pay UTM several thousand dollars each year to "mooch" off of them....

This should be a good game depending on how the teams play! Last time Westview man handled Trenton, but from what i hear they aren't the same Peabody team that rolled into Hardy-Graham Stadium not to long ago! But Westview, will be fired up and ready to win this game! After the loss Friday my first words were "I feel sorry for the team that plays Westview next!" These boys are not happy! They just had their senior night, region title, and undefeated regular season snatched away by Milan! I am not so sure that we were complaining about the speed limits as much as people are weary of the constant police presence. Similar to that of the city of Gibson. Speed limit is 30, go 29 or you will get a ticket. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Same in Milan, I was going 33 one day and a cop came up beside me and pointed to the 30 mile an hour speed limit sign ugh! And then I got a ticket going out of Milan at Graves Pontiac because she said I wasn't "quite" to the speed limit sign when I "speed" up from 30 to 45, I could have spit on it!

The speed limit just slows you down little by little and then speeds you back up the same way as it should be. The absolute worst place to drive through is Milan, it goes down to 50 10 miles out of town and is 30 all the way through, it is 30 only for a very short distance in g-field. I don't know why anyone that has had to drive through Milan to get to Jackson all these years could ever complain about the speed limits in G-field.

You may be right...I was at that game and for the life of me I am not sure, but it seems like after halftime they came out and scored and I thought oh heck they are gonna come back and get us but our defense held us. Does anyone remember for sure???

Milan's defense has allowed less points (only by a point or maybe two), but Westview has scored more points against their oppenents. This is the game of the season. Two great teams playing each other both with great speed, strength, and determination. Their is expected to be one of the biggest crowds there. Milan has allowed about 1/2 a point less per game than WV, WV has scored about 100 points more than Milan on the season.

I don't know lol that was an extremely good game to watch both teams were bringing the wood. But it could be depending on whose side your on. If milan's win they'll say it was the best game, and if Westveiw Win's they'll say it was the best game. Should be a heck of a matchup though. Whose defense has given up the fewest points?

While Milan/Westview will be an awesome game it will be hard to beat the WV/Camden game...what a nail biter!! I for one pray that WV/Milan is not quite that good of a game! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

In the one game I saw no one from Westveiw impressed me except Moore(sorry forgot he plays QB forgive me for not remembering someone so IMPORTANT TO WESTVEIW WHEN I'M FROM CAMDEN Ctownfootball IS A HINT IDIOT /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> ) and J.C. Griggs. These players took on a huge amount of leadership and talent but leggens did't impress me much. Besides in that game yall were getting kicked till Camden's QB was injured don't forget that OK buddy. I don't think Westveiw is nearly as fast as Milan. J.W. Williams is just a hair slower than Andy Travis and NO ONE on Westveiw is even close to his speed I Know that for a fact. I still don't don't know who is gonna win to good of a game to call. Good Luck to both these teams, and Hope for a safe game.

Please don't interpret me posting a pic of my son as me complaining about the refs. I've praised Westview numerous times in my posts about the game & the Westview players, coaches, & fans are all a class act. Well coached & well mannered. Yes, #14's jersey is being pulled but there's holding every play of every game in every league & if every holding penalty was called we'd still be in the stadium watching the game. Obviously I either miscommunicated with my frustration or my comments were misinterpreted but either way I wasn't complaining as my son probably got away with a few actions that could've been called against him. He's not immune from playing physical sometimes! If I offended anyone then please accept my apologies. In no way did I intend to discredit Westview at all. Now, can we please stop this because all the fine young men on the field played their hearts out & the better team won.

Now Chevy I stated that I wasn't complaining at all as Westview manhandled Humboldt for 3 quarters. I gave Westview their credit MANY times in all my posts. I was just stating the obvious in the photo. I've also said the game was poorly officiated on BOTH sides of the ball & NEVER blamed the officiating on the outcome of the game. There was one late hit by Humboldt & that was out of frustration. I talked to Epperson after the game & he knows he shouldn't have thrown the ONE late hit. He was just frustrated & frustrated at more than just Westview believe me. In no way was the pic I posted intended to discredit Westview as they are a fine football team & I wish them well as they should go deep in the tourney. I hope all Westview fans realize that I feel, as I've stated many times, that they are the most talented team in Region 8 2A & kudos to them for a fine season.

Well there were TWO obvious late hits that I saw clearly and one was at the line of scrimmage where I believe our QB was picked up and thrown down AFTER the whistle was blown with the Ref standing there looking and one was out of bounds hit right in front of the Westview bench and right in front of me. Most of Humbolts first down came on penalties against us. I am not saying we didn't commit the infractions but there were a bunch of times the exact same thing could have been called on you guys and best I remember the ONLY thing called on ya'll were an offside and another 5 yarder in the last minute or two of the game.

how about the fact that ur game was a whole lot closer than the score indicates also just come back and cry me a river after friday cause the charger will get beat again just like the last couple yrs they are good but they have been over hyped milan wins by two scores watch and see

Just a note that no one seems to be mentioning .....Had Humboldt not used a couple of trick plays (fake punt & fake field goal attempt) they would not have scored 8, they rarely even saw their end of the field, now that is not saying that WV shouldn't have been prepared for that they were pretty much asleep when that happened and I don't believe they will let that happen again.

Also, I did not see one penalty called on Humbolt until late in the 4th qtr and then it was a couple 5 yarders, and it wasn't cause they were so awesome they didn't make any either. I really don't know how many yards we gave them on penaltys but I would say 50 or so which gave them most of their first downs. And the most of the turnovers came from great defensive and special teams pressure.

So yeah the first quarter was "close" the rest of the game was pretty much dominated by WV.

Have seen both play.Milan has a better defense.Westview has a more explosive offence.I think its going to be a nailbiter and low scoring game.By the way 48Chevy,Camden has beaten westview twice,been a while,1979-80.

As a single mother raising a 14yr old whose dad died when she was three, my heart goes out to you both in so many ways. Not a dry eye after reading that! I can only pray my daughter is half the person you have raised your son to be. So far she has not dissappointed and I find myself looking at her every day thinking, how did I raise a kid this great? Then I remember it was all with God's help.

milan is just as good or better than westview across the board in stats.milan has a stable of runningbacks unmatched

by any team in west tennessee. their qb has really gotten his confidence in throwing the ball. how each team has played against other teams in the region has no bearing whatsoever. westview should be favored because of homefield, but i'll take milan in this one because they are healthy, coleman is confident, their defense, their running game, their team speed and let's just face the #1 fact, they are MILAN, and that alone carries a pretty big stick in west tennessee football. westview has all my respect at reaching 9-0 but after friday night they will be 9-1 and settling for 2nd in the region. milan wins by 8 points.

Well I have to go with my Chargers of course. I think we have too many weapons offense and defense. Milan is a good team but looking back at the match ups between like opponets Westview has scored the most points in most of the games and our defense has held their opponents to 9.44/ppg and has a total of 354 points total offense. Can someone give me these stats on Milan and see how the two match up, I can't find a place to pull all of Milans from and don't have the exact in memory.
