Well I can call his mom, since I know her fairly well, I just didn't know discussing the status was unethical??? But I guess not wanting the opposing team to know would be in the best interest of our boys.

Why would you spend $100's of thousands of dollars to build and maintain a facility 1/2 the size and quality with 1/2 the parking and facilities as the one you have at your disposal.....and with all the really great seats with backs, not to mention the best visitors section that I have seen anywhere???? Westview is funded by the county not the city, the property the school is on is owned by the county not the city I am fairly certain. They also pay UTM several thousand dollars each year to "mooch" off of them....

What is the status on Matt Smith?? Him being out really hurt WV last week?

Pretty much everyone who has to take 20 min just trying to get from one side of Milan to the other! You didn't have to get smart... Same in Milan, I was going 33 one day and a cop came up beside me and pointed to the 30 mile an hour speed limit sign ugh! And then I got a ticket going out of Milan at Graves Pontiac because she said I wasn't "quite" to the speed limit sign when I "speed" up from 30 to 45, I could have spit on it!

The speed limit just slows you down little by little and then speeds you back up the same way as it should be. The absolute worst place to drive through is Milan, it goes down to 50 10 miles out of town and is 30 all the way through, it is 30 only for a very short distance in g-field. I don't know why anyone that has had to drive through Milan to get to Jackson all these years could ever complain about the speed limits in G-field. You may be right...I was at that game and for the life of me I am not sure, but it seems like after halftime they came out and scored and I thought oh heck they are gonna come back and get us but our defense held us. Does anyone remember for sure???

Milan has allowed about 1/2 a point less per game than WV, WV has scored about 100 points more than Milan on the season.

While Milan/Westview will be an awesome game it will be hard to beat the WV/Camden game...what a nail biter!! I for one pray that WV/Milan is not quite that good of a game! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Well there were TWO obvious late hits that I saw clearly and one was at the line of scrimmage where I believe our QB was picked up and thrown down AFTER the whistle was blown with the Ref standing there looking and one was out of bounds hit right in front of the Westview bench and right in front of me. Most of Humbolts first down came on penalties against us. I am not saying we didn't commit the infractions but there were a bunch of times the exact same thing could have been called on you guys and best I remember the ONLY thing called on ya'll were an offside and another 5 yarder in the last minute or two of the game.

Just a note that no one seems to be mentioning .....Had Humboldt not used a couple of trick plays (fake punt & fake field goal attempt) they would not have scored 8, they rarely even saw their end of the field, now that is not saying that WV shouldn't have been prepared for that they were pretty much asleep when that happened and I don't believe they will let that happen again. Also, I did not see one penalty called on Humbolt until late in the 4th qtr and then it was a couple 5 yarders, and it wasn't cause they were so awesome they didn't make any either. I really don't know how many yards we gave them on penaltys but I would say 50 or so which gave them most of their first downs. And the most of the turnovers came from great defensive and special teams pressure. So yeah the first quarter was "close" the rest of the game was pretty much dominated by WV.

As a single mother raising a 14yr old whose dad died when she was three, my heart goes out to you both in so many ways. Not a dry eye after reading that! I can only pray my daughter is half the person you have raised your son to be. So far she has not dissappointed and I find myself looking at her every day thinking, how did I raise a kid this great? Then I remember it was all with God's help. If you are like me Football is just a distraction to get lost in for a while. Well I have to go with my Chargers of course. I think we have too many weapons offense and defense. Milan is a good team but looking back at the match ups between like opponets Westview has scored the most points in most of the games and our defense has held their opponents to 9.44/ppg and has a total of 354 points total offense. Can someone give me these stats on Milan and see how the two match up, I can't find a place to pull all of Milans from and don't have the exact in memory. Anyway as we all know stats can be thrown out the window in this game, but I still think my Chargers will prevail 24-13. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
