  1. Any word on the scrimmage? I heard the final score was 3 scores to 2 scores in favor of MBA. I also heard Nick Smith tossed a TD to Cameron Williams and Josh Bailey pounded one in. Correct me if I'm wrong and someone further give some details.

And I think the QB debate just got a bit more interesting.

the Indy 1's vs MBA 1's was 3-0. Hate to be hard on the QB who threw the TD but against the MBA 1's that was pick 6 and the other TD was well past the MBA 2's. MBA never struggled in this scrimmage really. MBA had a nice passing attack going with the D pounding Indy for 3-4 sacks.

  2. actually we are ranked #23 in the country... get your stuff straight.

what finger should i get my ring on?

13-0 state champs. sounds like a good season to me.

Beat BA twice, Ryan twice, Ensworth for the first time in the schools history. We were down 2 times... THE ENTIRE SEASON.

once on the first play of the game against Antioch. once against Webb.

  3. BA - 35

    EHS - 0

    BA - 350+ total yards

    EHS - 100-125 total yards

    BA - 0 INT

    EHS - 4 INT

    BA - 150 passing yards

    EHS - 50 passing yards

Its gonna be a massacre. I'm not a biased viewer here but good coaching, bad coaching, no coaching does not mean a thing if your team is COMPLETELY outmanned. Just happens sometimes. BA will dominate this game. I just can't see EHS ever getting started on BA's defense and I don't know if BA will be forced to punt all game.

  4. Well stated.

Both teams just seemed to be playing on edge and trying not to lose the game. Again, I think that both teams were thinking ahead to a possible re-match. Don't get me wrong, both wanted to win, but this was a very close to the vest game on both sides of the ball.

As you suggest in your post, I too hope these two teams meet again, but they both must play better to make that happen. Yes, I know MBA beat Ensworth, but that game was close just like this one, so you can throw a blanket over those three, and Ryan is supposedly right there as well.

I believe Ryan is at Ensworth next week; is that correct? If so, we'll have a better idea on where Ryan fits into the equation. They may be the best of the bunch...

Both teams stayed healthy tonight which was very good to see.

no excuses but MBA could have blown EHS out of the house if McGugin wanted to deviate from the gameplan which was obviously get a lead, get every second off that clock as possible and hand it over to the states best defense. Also MBA did drop their starting RB, QB, and LT in that game so I dont think you can say all that much.

For the game tonight, I enjoyed it because I like defense but for those who said BA's passing offense has matured throughout the season... HOW??????? BA's offense needs to step it up. I liked the Tate kid though

  5. Why would you ever invite Ensworth to this 2 years into the program? They will be no better than they are now even with 1000 games behind their program... I dont know if anybody knows the school but they have a whole 60 boys to choose from in each grade... the numbers just dont add up... you can never be sold all around the field with that small of a field. Tavarres is a decent back who can break some big plays, #10 is not a good back. He couldnt break a run longer than 2 yards vs MBA. Sorry for all the hype about the EHS backs they just werent that great. T is still a good back and will pretty hard to stop next year... dunno if I say the same about #10.

I hope this isn't some made up article that flops.

  6. You say you know them, so you are obviously a sophmore that probably doesnt even play, or are on the team and just stand there and watch the games.....you must not know anything about Myers or any of Ensworth, you just assume Ben is the best player in the world and can never we tackled by any person alive. Im pretty sure he hasnt done much to any team this year so i dont think Ensworth is to worried about that.

    Back to the game.

    Ensworth by 7

Ensworth with wil pound it over and over and then go with a play action and catch them off guard all game

You say that but hes averaging over 10 yards a carry, and caught a 52 yard reception for a TD @ ravenwood. Just pointing it out.

  7. Just to the people loving on Tavarres and Orleans... I don't see how ANYBODY can believe they are even close as good to the Hillsboro combo between Seward and Gordon and Hillsboro got held to 12 points... Come on now, T and Orleans are good, but wouldn't say their great. Gordon and and Seward are an older combo though, so the future of EHS looks good.

  8. From what I saw tonight, Ensworth is taking its place among the elite in D2-AA sooner, rather than later. I think next week's game should be a great matchup with MBA being undefeated after a close one with Ravenwood, a team that Ensworth seemed to handle very well before the season. Plus, the EHS v. MBA is going to be on tv as the "game of the week". It should be interesting, and I'm looking forward to going to it.

It was 31-7 MBA with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter, relax they put their back ups in. When MBA put out the starting O again, they drove the ball down the field to run the clock out. MBA dominated Ravenwood the entire game while their 1st sring was out there.

  9. if any teams puts 11 in the box, they will be beat, they can just pass, so nobody will put 11 in the box. and im pretty sure their running backs are not overrated, considering there more productive one thus far is a SOPHOMORE - yes Orleans is a sophomore. What makes everybody think there line is so small too? Is it because they are new. I am pretty sure they have a big line, have you seen number 55 for them....huge and athletic. But i agree with you on one part, the QB. Ensworth has a good QB but McCallie is definitely better, McCallie should be able to pass on them pretty easily

Hmmm read into what you are quoting before you post. I said the teams that EHS has "ran all over" are so bad at defending the run that even if they put 11 guys in the box, they wouldnt be able to stop anybody. I think a 3 year old putting on his first pads understands you cant win a down with 11 in the box.

I don't feel like quoting the other guy who said EHS can beat mba,ba,ryan, what are you thinking? They stand no chance against any of these teams. Hillsboro has much, much, much more superior athletes than EHS, so how are you to say that your going to have to outscore EHS to beat them when their backs are decent at best. I like my chances with Eric Gordon and Jacquese Seward over Orleans and Taverres. I can already tell somebody is going to scream out that EHS has better coaches then Hillsboro, but Hillsboro has a lot better OL. Talking about outscoring an opponent is 4A and 5A football talk. It doesn't work in DII-AA.

To the people talking about EHS's easy schedule, you are right. They must have been laughing their ###### off when they finished making their schedule. BUT THEY ARE A YOUNG TEAM, THEY CAN'T JUST GO RIGHT INTO THE REAL SCHEDULE! Yes this is sarcasim, I'll end this post with a quote to show the how hypocritical EHS fans are.

"ALL THE SAME AGE and have all been playing same amount of years

i agree with the win by mccallie but i hate everyone getting on ensworth about age and maturity because it is just so wrong, come on guys"

And the guy talking about how the other EHS fan talking about how they have to go easy into their schedule because they are so YOUNG. Gotta take a stand either way guys I'm sorry.
