Making noise on the serve (from the crowd) is no different than making noise while attempting a free throw. It's allowed in college and internationally. I believe that personal insults have no place in "supporting your team", but make all the noise you want on the serve. I've never seen a high school player or above worth her salt get so rattled by a crowd noise on serve that she missed every serve she attempted.
