I disagree that the Ensworth community has displayed a lack of respect for MBA. There may in fact be a few extreme counterexamples from Ensworth aficionados, however these are prevalent at every school including MBA. For example, this past winter when MBA faced Ensworth in basketball, the student section chanted "traitor" as head coach, Ricky Bowers, entered the gym. This was extremely inappropriate and immature. I don't doubt that Ensworth students have appeared just as hateful. But it is unfair to place MBA on a pedestal that they do not deserve. But, I guess, MBA can use all the fans they can get considering the majority of other high schools in Middle Tennessee want Ensworth to show up the big red. As a parent, who has ties at both MBA and Ensworth I think the level of disrespect is mutual and unnecessary. We should be the ones fueling a positive rivalry instead of cheering solely for bragging rights.
