The baseball board must be getting lit up. Even Tri or CAP haven't commented or given any info on the game. Oh well...... just goes to show that life is short... Love hard, play hard!!!! GOD BLess!!!!
Sadly the baseball thread is dead as well, I've been pretty run down myself. I feel there isn't much left to hammer out at this point. It's put up or shut up time now, you lose you go home. The outcomes speak for themselves, save a complete meltdown by the officials that costs a team, or a brawl; which we know both can happen.

...if you have anything to say about that post it.
We're not getting any younger guru, losing credibility as the days pass.
-
All of Souths QB's play baseball so dont' expect too much from spring practice on Pactolus.
So St. Clair is a three sport athlete I take it?
-
science hill is without a doubt the most impresive team in the big 9 this year with 2 great pitchers and great bats on offense but they will lose but only by surprise a weaker opponent like crockett or south but not DB or to gills boys (THS)...if you have anything to say about that post it
Pretty much your whole post was hard to read, punctuation is there for a reason. Other than that, I have to ask what your reasons for saying teams like Sullivan South and David Crockett have a better chance surprising Science Hill than Dobyns Bennett?
-
From a person from outside the Dickson area, but with family that lives in Dickson, I'm happy to see the Dickson Co./Creekwood game finally come to fruition. It'll be good for the county, and I'm tempted to bypass my Indians of Dobyns Bennett season opener @ Farragut on the same night, to take this one in.

There is an answer as I have posted on this forum before. Sullivan Co will go to 1 or 2 HS in the intermediate future (5 - 10 years). In a 20 year timeframe they will float bonds for a single Co HS near Blountville. All you have to do is look at the Urban Growth Boundaries for Kpt, Bri, and JC. Sullivan Co will have 3 HS in it - THS, D-B, and Sullivan; Washington Co will have 3 - SH, Boone, and Crockett.
This is the most realistic solution.

I agree with that and Stokes post also.I am just tired of the status-quo attitudes.
Understandable.

...AND TCSF why do you think DB is under the microscope? Think about it.
Dobyns Bennett is under the microscope because of consistent year in and year out success, over long periods of time. Losing prematurely does bring the magnifying glass, but it's not the sole reason they are under the microscope. It's the winning tradition that puts them there in the first place, not the .500 'big game' winning percentage.
-
All tonight's games did was put D-B and the Hill in the same region bracket. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
It looks like the Consolation game could be an adventure, I wouldn't pencil in Dobyns Bennett at #3 just yet.
-
Just another one-done for DB. Folks it is in all sports not just football.Untill there is a complete cleaning of the house at DB they will never repeat never win the big ones when they count.I played in it and it is a joke.
So...who do you suggest we fire first? Clark? Morgan? Ritz? If you think all the blame rests on the shoulders of each sports coaching staff, you??™re wrong. A school that is constantly under the microscope and you suggest the fix all end all is to give every coach, of every sport, the pink slip. That, in and of itself, is a joke. Try again.

Predictions for tomorrows semi-final match ups?
-
Anymore details about what role Lloyd and Short played in the fight between two members of the girls basketball team?
Also, I wish the D2-AAA tournament wasn't being played on the same days as the D1-AAA tournament, I'd like to visit Dumplin Valley and take in a few IMAC games, before it's Big 9 vs. IMAC at my place.

I'm surprised a DB fan is still interested.
I'm interested in the conference in general, girls or boys, even outside of my Indians, believe it or not.
-
I like the fact that the Indians will play all district opponents in the coming year, varsity, junior varsity, and freshman. It's my hope that every member of the Big 8 does this so we can have definitive conference champions on the junior varsity and freshman levels, adding a bit of flavor to the minor leagues. Does anyone know if all Big 8 junior varsity and freshman teams will play each other this fall, giving me the Big 8 JV Conference and Big 8 Freshman Conference I so desire?

Hey TCF--- I've enjoyed your posts over the past year, btw. After 17 years in the classroom, too many college degrees, and tenure in Tallahassee, Kingsport, University School, ETSU COE, and presently Johnson City... I speak from experience, friend. This board in not appropriate for my work views but I'll be glad to chat with you and help you with job hunting in any way. Email me and we'll trade info: TaylorD@JCSchools.org

Experience you do have. I would appreciate any advice as I know only one system, the Kingsport system, graduating from it and now working for it. I also appreciate your desire to help. You should receive an e-mail from me sometime in the near future. Thanks in advance, BobbyMama.
