  1. Are the CAVS going to play, lets hope for good weather, great job at the Gibbs coach.
  2. See the talent you say, is this coach blind or are you bucking for a job. I think this coach will be able to see for his or herself. You may have been familiar with the program but the program stunk, Cookeville is ready for a positive change of direction so we dont need FAMILIAR. The parents and kids who did not get to play this year welcome the new coach with open arms, and yes some of them will try out for next year, so the superstars better get ready to compete for a starting position instead of voting your competition off the team, cause these kids are ready to PLAY BALL.
  3. Coach Jones daughter is on the team , what do you think, Idont think so. With a different coach I dont think she would make the team.
  4. You are 100% correct, this is from somebody who also knows the TRUTH and who's child has had to pay the price this season.
  5. Sounds like you need to get your facts straight, the catcher did not QUIT the team but was voted off by the team players and coach. Both these players are not SUPERSTARS but they do give 110% all the time when they are on the field and go above and beyond trying to make themselves better for thereselves and the team, but as always other people get jelous and the back stabbing continues. Mybe when they start playing as a team there unimpressive record will get better, its sure not it doing with this coach, but does any body care as long as your child or family member is playing, why rock the boat. As for coach Jones being one of the best in ths state, you must not been around to many good coachs or watched a lot of league ball. Riverdale loses there best pitcher but dont have a problem, dont put Jones on the same level as Riverdales coach it would be an insult. Cookeville has a lot of girls with tallent not just one, but you need somebody who can work this tallent and make it into a team, we just dont have it
  6. Coach Jones quit at the end of the year, that would be a year to late for the players he let go or got rid of. He has had this team now for 3 losing season and are not getting any better under his direction, mybe Mr Shanks needs to replace this coach and get somebody who can get this program playing as a team and stop all the DRAMA that plagues this team year after year. When you are losing good players every year because of the coach then something is wrong. But I dont think he will quit as his daughter still has 2 more years of playing time left, mybe then what do you think!
  7. The center fielder and shortstop, both juniors will give 110% all the time. But the ones with the egos are the ones the coach let vote the All Distict catcher of the team for missing practise in Dec 2007. And continues to let the DRAMA to continue, have since lost a dedicated junior outfielder and an excellent freshman to MrNoitAlls uncle ex-lax
  8. Seems like you know whats going on. Coach Jones has had the team for 3 seasons now and its not getting any better, wont get any better with out changes. Mybe time for Cookeville to make a change and get somebody who can get this softball program heading in the right direction and give some of these hard working girls a chance to excel in there sport. Looks like Cookeville lost another one tonight, they could have been better than this, what a shame.
  9. You did not step on my toes, but its a shame both these talented girls are not playing a sport they both have gone above and beond for. Both girls would loved to have played against Shelby. Good luck Mt Juliet
  10. That may not be the story you got, but that is the explanation the school gave her. What story did you get. At this time its not for me to talk about the starting pitcher.
  11. The All-Distict catcher did not quit the team. Missed a scheduled PRACTISE in DEC 2007 and was ejected from the team, after being made to run 5 MILES. Missed because she was having a hitting lesson in Nashville.
  12. Who takes the responsibility for winning or losing games, does that answer your question.
