  1. im am absolutely appauled by this forum and wish anybody on here that has a problem with Ol Hatfield would bring to him face to face...and anybody with a problem with the assistant coaches would come to one of them...especially beasley or bundy...but i doubt they will cuz there cowards.

  2. yes roper should get at LEAST 20 carries, and they will have a better chance of winning...the only problem with running like the old HHS teams is that this O-line is not very consistent at all.Sometimes they control the line of scrimmage other times they dont. But at least with Roper he just needs a little crease to lower his shoulders and pound for about four or five yards. Last year they rode Roper between the 30's and got away from him in the red zone against HL both times...they got to ride this man child to the playoffs and beyond.

  3. HHS will ROLL. Looking forward to the trip to the Wave(no wait) Grave Yard. Grave Yard because football will never be the same in Gallatin. I say this because Gallatin is now experiencing what has pretty much happened to the rest of the schools in the area - it's called division of talent. Gallatin is no longer the only school in the city (Station Camp) and there will probably be another one before long.

So go ahead Gallatin fans and rest on the past because it's downhill from here.

    HHS 36 GHS 14

yes they are now experiencing that division of talent but like always Gallatin will find a way to ge back on top. They dont stay down long.im not going to say how i really feel on how they get back up.Just look at when schools get build in the Hendersonville/Gallatin area and where the zone restrictions rest.

  4. Agreed much props i dont know how you can be a fair wheather gallatin fan i mean with as much tradition and pride as that program has.I have used the H word for the Green Wave before but much respect for what they have down the road.I hope that the Green Wave do show up with that pride Friday because i want to see a game not a blowout.

  5. I don't get all this "rivalry equals good game" crap. I believe UT-FLorida, UT-Alabama are both pretty dang big rivalries and UT got thumped by both because UT doesn't have a defense. Well guess what. Gallatin doesn't have a defense. They are giving up about 30 points a game and have been beaten by running teams and passing teams. I'm sure both teams will come out fired up, but after a while things settle down and the better team wins. The better team this year is HHS.

Yes that is a solid point with those two UT games. But just look at this game last year that mighty greenwave team got all they could handle from the commandos in a close game.Rivalry games do tend to bring out the best in both teams. And actually take a look at the last time Vanderbilt beat UT,Vandy should have had no chance in that game and they came out and beat UT.Maybe UT just doesnt do well in Rivalry games. But just do the resarch most rivalry games are close thats why their rivalry games, because despite the records both teams have a shot.

  6. gallatin will be ready for this one.......the H-word isnt mentioned for a year until this one week in high school football......both teams expected to come out and hit each other in the mouth.....nothin better than seeing the black and gold face that green and gold on friday night......fans from everywhere in sumner should be there to watch.....like many have said everything previous to this week is thrown out and it will put in perspective who wants it more.....

This couldnt be any more true, this rivalry is as old as any rivalry in the state.it gives me chills just thinking about being able to strap up for one more of these games. Watching it is just not as exciting i really am envious of both these teams and their players/coaces.

  7. yeah this game is going to be a good game because its Gallatin and Hendersonville.now if the green wave dont show up to play they should be highly disappointed in themselves and the seniors should feel no pride and all shame if they just take it from the Commandos.and as far as Lassiter vs. Hatfield there is no comparison, Bruce Hatfiled is way on top in this matchup, and is one of the best in the state at what he does.He does more with less than any other coach.

  8. This rivalry is one of those where you throw all records and past weeks out the window. It will be a physical game on both sides. That being said Gallatin has homefield and that place is as a tough a place to play as there is in the state. So this will be close, but Hendersonville prevails in anoter close game.

  9. yeah roper has to get the carries to have a big night on offense.I cant wait to watch a game where he is actually the featured back, and we all know what a weapon he is on defense. He and number 25 are the 2 best runners i have seen for the commandos and should get the bulk of the carries.and overton has a really good back who will do what it takes to make a big play.

  10. This game is a huge game for both these teams with the region being so close.and as it was last year i expect this to be a dog fight to the finish. The two teams really have no advantage on the other.basically whoever comes to play with more passion and is more physical will win this game.i have no prediction, and by the way its homecoming for HHS,that should be a game your suppose to win.Overton can take that to their advantage as an insult.

  11. look ive been to the madison area of town and have spent countless time there and not once have i been in fear of my life ever.now Goodpasture has a great fieldhouse, weightroom, and locker room. The field and atmosphere are not that great but who cares they have a heck of a football program, whether they recruit or not i really dont care. This is going to be a heck of a game despite where it is played.

    Goodpasture wins.
