Good post BubbleGum. The Hawks have had a great season. The 8th graders will be missed. Rickman played great and made a game out of it. Congrats to all the county teams on their seasons.

A title will bring back a certain percentage of children to play again but there are kids on that very same team that aren't happy. Our goals is to keep kids playing teamsports as long as we can. Push the star and still make the bench a fun place to be.

I would love to see Dekalb pull this one out... I think every 7AA team has a great chance of winning. Upperman could very well upset White House, they are due a good game. Anything can happen. Then again we may get swept again this year.

They defeated Pin Oak, by 2.... I think...

The Allons Hawks boys won the 1A division.
They defeated Spring Hill 48-39.

Sorry to disappoint you 'Nut', but there is no relation between Ramsey and myself. He isn't that good looking.
If you would stop and think about it for a second, it would make sense. Dunn is going to have around 15-20 points a night. But you have to be able to have a good post game to win big games. Your big man may not score alot, but he needs to be a threat to score so that it opens up everything else, he needs to pull some offensive rebounds to get you some put-backs, block some shots, and make it hard for the other team to score inside. You can also use your big man to get the other team in foul trouble, which will work to your advantage at the end of the game.
Dunn is the leader and the go to guy, no doubt about that. But the other kids have to play their roles to win the big games.
Does that explain why I think he needs a good game to beat teams like Upperman, SportsNut?. I'm glad you are keeping up with my posts though, makes me feel important. Watch the entire game and not just who scores and you will see that a lot of the little things have to be done to chalk up a win.

Livingston will need to play very well to beat Upperman on their floor. Ramsey needs to have a big game.

No I am not mistaken. District 7AA has not won a game in the region tournament in the last 5 years. The last time they won a game in the region tournamrnt was in 2001 and that was the last time they did not have to play 8AA in the region. For proof of this you can go to: http://www.tssaa.org/2006Champions/2006Champs.htm and click on the years then go to baseball and then to the region brackets.
I thought you were talking about basketball there at first... Take it to the baseball board...

We will worry about the region after the teams finish the districts up.
I think odds are that this district will come down to LA and Upperman. LA will have to bring their 'A' game to beat UHS on their home floor.
