  1. NO!!! Well ok. I'm not sure there are any North Greene fans, players, or anyone on coach T.
  2. I agree. I mean personally i would went to that little swing pass to the back in the flats in OT, because the run was getting stuffed. That pass worked all night long, I don't know that Grainger could have stopped it, but thats my opinion. Come out and watch the South Greene vs. Cumberland Gap tonight. Alot of hype going into this game.
  3. Game Day!! I still gotta go with the Rebs in this one. I just don't see CG stopping both the ran attack and the pass. CG is young and down this year, but maybe even or a little better than last year. So i say SG plays hard and gets the win. GO REBS!!
  4. Good game to watch... but i missed something, where was the "Boles Express"?? Look like he may have got derailed... Fact is Grainger knew what they had to do to win was to stop Boles and they did. What happen to not being 1 dimensional? WG looked pretty 1-d to me. Also, if Grainger County would have caught some balls the game wouldnt even have went to OT.
  5. Anyways ya'll need to stay focused on Grainger right now. After we see the outcome of both games this week, then we'll talk.
  6. Well they have had backs with over 100 in a game... Plus passing has worked best against the two teams with a weak secondary. It is called STRATEGY and COACHING. SG can run when they need to, but when you play a team with a weak secondary, it only makes sense to pass. However, WG wouldnt know about strategy, it's all about a single running back. Good luck with that.
  7. Def not, but nice try. SG beat them and they played bad. Plus, SG has improved alot since then. So if get your facts straight. Aside from that, how do you expect a kid that small "boles express" to run up the middle when teams contain him? Just saying.... and SG has atleast 2 maybe 3 running backs on the same level, but wait, SG passes too. They are not a 1 dimensional team. You got to stop it all to beat SG, unlike WG which gives it to the "boles express" all the time.... So im gonna take a team that can run and pass over a team that only runs anyday.
  8. All I know is all you people sayin that CG is gonna win better tell your boys to tighten up their chins straps. This is SG's 1st home game and conference. They are gonna line up and come at you. So be ready to be hit and hit hard. May be a good game, but i look for SG to control this game for 4 quarters.
  9. Boles express?? haha sounds like a true West Greene boast of over confidence. Wait until WG plays someone with a real defense that can stop the run. Cloudland wasn't bad but they simply don't have much of a defense. Therefore, when you face a real defense Boles may not be quite as effective. Plus, he'll the big stats now be teams will key on him, and WG has nothin else to go to....
  10. I read the Plain Talk paper in Newport every once in awhile and after reading the CCHS/SG story, what exactly does this mean? This quote is from the paper and coach... link below... "Cocke County High School coach Casey Kelley's message all week was that if anyone was going to beat his football team this week it needed to be the South Greene Rebels." http://newportplaintalk.com/story/29998 Seriously - drawing a blank on that one.... why would you want the other team to win? Yeah he meant that south greene would simply have to be better and play better to beat cocke county. He wanted sg to have to beat them without benefiting from cc turnovers or giving up. Personally, i think CC showed a lot of heart and determination late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd. I love for cc to get a win this year. SO the best of luck to yall.
  11. I wouldn't go too far out on that limb because it might break. This is simply a worse CG team than last year playing a better SG team. So I am gonna say unless SG plays bad they win this one big, just like last year. Except maybe a little larger deficit. SG - 42 CG - 14
  12. Conference opener for both teams!! How's it gonna go??
  13. You guys have a lot to build on....a lot of talent. Susong is a stud QB. And you are playing a relatively challenging schedule compared to most of the conference. I think with the exception of Greeneville, you could run the table.... And with a "fluke" win over Greeneville, they could go undefeated! Im pretty optimistic though. Its high school football you can never be sure.
  14. Well I wouldn't get your hopes up for 2nd either. SG should take the number 2 spot. So if i were from WG i would be happy with a solid 3rd after years of disappointment.
  15. That all you can put?... Ill go with SG big in this one, unless they are looking forward to next weeks conference opener against Cumberland Gap... BUT the rebs should take this one on a good night. SG 35 CC7
  16. I'll also take Cloudland by 14 if they come to play.
  17. Nice try.... lol SG didnt play their best game and still man handled Unicoi... Congrats to Susong on an outstanding performance.
  18. Its here week 0. I'll take SG in this on.... SG 28 UC 14
  19. Lets start by saying... Greeneville is good... NOT unbeatable, but good. It is high school football no one is unbeatable. Needless to say people wouldnt be so shocked by greeneville if they wouldnt have left their 1s in for most of the quarter... i mean yeah you need to play them but there is no point in running the score up in a jamboree. I would also like to say SG could have scored like that on CG but they were playin everyone. SG look good too, but no one says they're so good. I'm not gonna say that either, but they do deserve more credit than they're getting. My point is how can you compare the 3 TDs by Greeneville's starters to quarters where the other teams 2nd and 3rd strings did most of the playing. You can't really go by a jamboree is all I'm saying. Lets talk after week 0!!
  20. Go percentages and compare... i do believe Greeneville is twice the size of South Greene so technically thats a little bit bigger of a difference...
