  1. I am not real sure, but I think Smyrna's freshman are something like 0-6. I am pretty sure Blackman's only win came against Smyrna. From what I hear Wilson Central's freshman are pretty good, but I don't know their record. Oakland still has to play Independence, Lebanon, and Wilson Central all on the road. Who did Riverdale's freshman lose to besides Oakland?

  2. Haven't been on all weekend and just thought I would post a few observations. 1.)If OHS had gotten ANY QB play for the first 3.5 quarters they would have won by a couple of scores, I hope the play of the last half quarter continues because it was what was expected before the season. 2.) OHS's Oline is getting better and did a pretty solid job blocking Sholey and picking up the stunts in the second half Friday night. If this continues it will make a huge difference in their ability to score. 3.) Cowan did a very good job in his first start as a FB, now they have two threats in the backfield instead of just one at a time. 4.) Friday was the first time OHS answered the second half bell since week one. FCHS played hard all night and will fight for a home playoff game in that region. If OHS will keep working, and believing good things will happen and happen soon.

  3. OHS Vs. FCHS- OHS in a nail bitter

CHS vs. LHS- CHS, but this one will be much closer than most people think.

BHS vs. CHS- Heard Mimms is out for the first half, gotta pick CHS

LHS vs. GHS- I have no clue about the Colts so I guess LHS

    LCHS vs. RHS- RHS

SHS vs. MJHS- Stars in a close one

    CCHS vs. SHS- CCHS

MBA vs CPA- MBA in a blow out

ORHS vs. DBHS- ORHS, they're the best in 5A

GHS vs. BHS- The Wave keep getting better and better, GHS by 20.

  4. Not sure about this one. I think that this will be a very close game. Oakland must execute better to win. I hear there is a change in backfield personnel that may help OHS run the ball more effectively. I think Burnett has to play and play well for OHS to win. Leslie will run for 150 and two scores for FCHS.

    Final

    OHS 28

    FHS 24

  5. Wow did I waste several minutes of my life reading things that have NOTHING to do with the game this Friday.

I think that this game will be a good one for OHS, if they get good play from their LBs and DTs. I also believe Cord will have somewhere in the neighborhodd of 125 yards on the ground with a couple of scores. I also wouldn't be surprised if Burris found the end zone this week.

    Final

    OHS 35

    SHS 10

  6. OHS vs. SiHS- OHS by a couple of scores

RHS vs. BHS- RHS by a bunch of scores

WCHS vs. SmHS- WCHS is just a little better.

LeHS vs. LaHS- Who knows, I guess I'll go with LeHS (still don't believe in LaVergne)

    JCHS vs. CCHS- JCHS

    RHS vs. FHS- RHS

    CHS vs. HHS- Dragons

An easier week than last week or so it would appear.

  7. I had heard that Mimms was out of practice all week with some sort of sickness, so it would be easy to see where he wouldn't play much. What happened to Cave? I was also wondering why R'Dale would need a high scoring game when they just went to another state and dominated one of their best teams.

  8. Saw the Siegel Freshman team tonight and was very impressed. Behind Chucky McCord and #15 and #25 on offense the SHS freshman were very impressive not to mention their very active LBs. Region 4 teams better be on the look out.

  9. There are two things you can count on this Friday night. 1. Coach Thompson will not allow his team to play as poorly as they did last Friday again this week. 2. Mimms will help Blackman sustain a big drive into the Red Zone and then leave the game because he is too "Tired." That being said I still believe BHS comes out ahead behind the play of C. Cave.

  10. I think this Could be one of the best games of the week. Even though I am an Oakland supporter and have picked them to win the game I still have a lot of skepticism. I know that Franklin will have the talent and will be prepared well enough to get a big win. If Oakland keeps this game close into the second part of the third quarter, and I think they will, I believe they will find a way to come out ahead.

    Final

    FHS 24

    OHS 27

  11. I have to preface this week's picks by saying they are much tougher than last weeks gravy train.

OHS vs. FHS- I'm picking OHS as I believe they will continue to improve and they were much better last week than I expected. This game would open some eyes.

RHS vs. KHS- I have to go with Kilborne. The long road trip and all the unusual happenings make this an easy trap game.

LCHS vs. BHS- I like Blackman. I think they may be the 5th best team in the region if Cave continues to grow as the starter.

GHS vs. LHS- GHS, I feel like LHS lost too much.

BHS vs. SHS- Tough game to pick. BHS had a game handed to them last week starting something like 5 or 6 drives inside the 50, SHS battled for a win. I take the Bulldogs.

WCHS vs. MJHS- MJHS. The loss of Lopez shows here.

LHS vs. CHS- LHS has too much for Cenn.

SpHS vs. SiHS- SpHS returns 10 starters on defense and will make the Stars go out.

MHS vs. AHS- MHS too much depth.

FCHS vs. THS- Toss Up. Sholey runs down Barnes and gives the W to FCHS.

  12. This game could be a very interesting one especially since I think Blackman will be better than most people do. It is important for Oakland to hit Mimms early and hit him hard. I think at times he plays with the momentum of the game. I still think OHS has to answer some questions about QB, OL, and LB's. I think OHS takes a 21-14 lead late in the third quater and salts it away late by pounding the football.

    Final OHS 21 BHS 14

  13. OHS vs. BHS- OHS in a game decided by a late score

Riverdale vs. Siegel- RHS in a game decided on the opening kick

Smyrna vs. LaVergne- SHS shows all that LHS still has no heart as they proved in the Franklin scrimmage after being up by two scores.

WCHS vs. HHS- WC in a good ole shoot out.

CHS vs. OHS- OHS by two scores over the most overrated team in the state.

    BHS vs. CCHS- BHS

    FHS vs. LCHS- FHS BIG

  14. As a former two year plus member I have to say it is worth the 12 bucks. I guess I will be trying to put together 12 bucks by the 17th so I can get a number on my teams board, and so I can finally read the personal messege it tells me I have waiting everytime I surf on over to Coacht....
