  1. a wise old coach of mine said "the one thing you can't teach is speed and speed kills." and that is the reason i think CSAS will win tonight 64-51.
  2. well rested has nothing to do with it. DRAGOON LOST THE REGION CHAMPIONSHIP(yet again). he does not want to win. if he did he would have called a timeout with 15 seconds in the 4th and called a play. better yet he could have changed the D. box and 1 or something. year after year dragoons basketball I.Q gets worst and worst and it shows. how long is it gonna take to get him and his family away from the basketball court? he will always be second best and NEVER A WINNER. he should take some lessons from temples first year head coach.
  3. i agree! with two starting players over 6'8 one would think being one of the top two teams in the region is a givin. mcmaster could score 40 points every game but decides to shoot fade aways against ppl a foot and a half shorter than him. he wont make it long at the college level where guys are just as big. be a man and assert yourself like you smaller counterpart shagnasty. last night game was won by WARREN FOSTER!! he came in and socked graces big men in the mouth from the start. WHERE HAS HE BEEN ALL YEAR???? oh yeah the bench. i think he earned his stars last night.
  4. i'm sure any game plan dragoon comes up with is less-than-best. yeah you are right an L right now isnt as bad as one in the post season. i know the team did everything they could cause they are the ones putting there blood, sweat, and tears into the game of basketball. i just want the same effort from the guys in the ties by playing all the cards in there hand. that is all i ask as a fan and a coach.
  5. sounds like excuse after excuse. and no one knows who i am. if so come to me and ask if you have any huevos. legend you of all ppl shouldnt talk bout what johnson cant do. try coaching the kid first and telling him that face to face or even better cut him when you could have. but you needed a camera man this year didnt ya. ball you are the worst 6'6 or whatever player i have seen. if you played wit any heart you could make a difference do you need a midget to guard you to feel like you are the man? class is still insession for you boy. i have been waitin all year for yall to prove me wrong but you coaches make it harder for yourselves by proving me right. a hard head makes a soft butt and yall's is really red from the beatin you took. just get ready cause its not goin to be the last. oh and running the kids to death cause "they lost" will not work. just put them all on my side cause the force is stronger when you are in the light. just go ahead and join your dad. darth vader, zachary.
  6. kept ball out like i said. you don't change something until it doesn't work and they were coming back until he came back in. and secondly, if i did put ball in i would tell him that he doesn't need to worry about scoring because we got plenty of people who can do that and he needs to play behind carter on offense so he can get into position to get rebounds or if carter comes up to defend someone coming in then they can dish it off to ball and he can score. and i would have played either a 131 or 23 zone with a trap.
  7. the coaches at CSAS stink. point blank. the only reason they have been any good is that there talent level has been up there. i have been talking to deaf ears all year till last night. welcome to my world. i would have put in foster and ball with foster guarding the weak mcmasters. all he would have to do is box him out, put a body on him and make him frustrated. i also would have had as many seniors on the floor as i could. remember these young men have been playing together since middle school. deere who is one of the better defenders on the team would have been on herman when he was in. i also would have run a play other than PATRIOT(does dragoon not have any other plays)!!!! a high 4 set would have been good cause grace was over playing which leaves backdoor cuts to the basket. even with mcmaster cherry pickin in the lane on D with ppl takin it to him they could have gotten him in foul trouble. if i wasnt running man to man i would have been running a 1-3-1 in the half court giving up the 3 but making sure nothing was for free within 12 feet of the rim. with the quickness of the guards and depth there i would have pressed all game. the 2-2-1 would still be my bread and butter but i wouldnt be afraid to mix things up with a 1-2-1-1 and a half court trap where there is less space using the half court line as an extra man. to bad all of us are thinking of ways to make our team better while our coach lets us down not only yesterday but year after year after year. send him back to silverdale baptist or whatever gutter you found him in and get a REAL coach that knows the game instead of these pretenders.
  8. should have put money where you mouth is cause CSAS lost son. ball shouldnt have even played the second half cause that is when csas made there run to bring it back within 2. ball is to weak, plays flat footed, has no D, dosent box out, has no hands and cant make a lay up. two key players that saw very lil time were foster and johnson. they could have made some plays if they thought the coach had any faith in them. the 2-2-1 press was being broken to easy. do the coaches not have a half court trap? like i said 3 months ago the two big boys gave CSAS trouble on both ends of the court and they did NOT A THING to try to counter. OUT WITH THE OLD. IN WITH THE NEW!!!!! i dont want this to be another season of "what could have been." so stop trying to coach and do your job or find someone else. good win grace!!
  9. juric, mcmasters, and ball have let me down this year. who has a big guy that is worth seeing?
  10. it was a great game for CSAS fans. after a 14-7 1st quarter i was kinda shaky but my boys pulled through. townsend was lights out. mckoy impressed me this game with his hustle he was always in the right spot and making plays when needed. it was good to see both johnsons out there too. with all the guards CSAS has why play ball? 2 points!!!!! someone needs to coach him up :cough cough:
  11. you would eat your words if you saw all of the temple games we lost last year. great ones would have came up with something. it wasnt like he didnt know anything about em. the title game was the worst lose too. i think the threw the game to tell you the truth. how are you goin to lose by maybe 10 in the region, beat 4 teams in the post season you werent supposed to, then turn around and lose by 30 to temple. smells kinda fishy. he did go to school at temple.
  12. agree but remember PLAYERS WIN GAMES, coachs lose em, and ref ruin em. if temples coach can put his team in the right place it could be a better game than everyone thinks. just depends on who has there legs under em and who doesnt. its gonna be a fast paced game unless temple holds the ball. why did TSSAA shorten the season? dont make no sense. icecold my seed isnt on the team but it dont mean the kids i go to church with or played with at the center arent my youngsters.
  13. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> i'm a lil past my hs prime. its just i have to deal with my youngster talkin bout how the "blue" team is the only ones getting better while the other kids just STAND! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> i just dont see or hear where the less talented kids on the team get a chance other than in the game and by then it is to late. to me if a player dosent know what to do it reflects on the coach and the amount of time he put in on that player. and i'm sure the players arent afraid to ask questions cause isnt that was seminar is about? temple put in there 2nd string in the second half and still beat em by 43. whoa!!! seems like they are ready to throw-down friday. this game might go to OT. i still havent seen temple play firday will be my first look at em. what kinda size do they have?
  14. YES!!!! great news. i am open firday. am i goin to be coaching the JV too? they need a coach as well. 102 on RICHARD HARDY!!!! might as well play the school for the blind. firing him would be a great idea. lets get a coach with a lil color and has some basketball experiance(actual PT). CSAS has a powder puff schedule the rest of this year. WHERE IS THAT HOWARD GAME? i love CSAS with all my heart and hate temple but you cant compair this years CSAS team to last years temple. they were better in all parts of the game and had the most dominate player i have seen in a while. i just dont see the state title written in destiny for CSAS like it was for temple. will CSAS make it to state? yeah. but as history has proven they can not win the big game. which is why i think dragoon has to go!! how can you talk bout your team rounding the corner when you can do it yourself? "beware the ides of march" yet again
  15. DIDNT PLAY WELL!!!!! so CSAS had 4 bad games against TEMPLE. they never had there best players on the floor at one time. you have to expect to lose if that is the case. hopefully the "super subs" are starting this year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. the scheme is to take it to the CSAS big man. get him in foul trouble but dont foul him. the only point he had against grace where from the line. he isnt very strong and his post game isnt to soild. if temple had to choose a game to play zone this will be it. the 1on1 match ups arent there for temple. i dont think CSAS has seen a 1-3-1 all year. not getting into a fast paced game will help too. expect the full court press. if you break it there will be a easy bucket. you have to make it a half court game. run play after play after play. they live and die by the 3. if you can make em settle for em good idea. sexson just needs to play park ball on D and offense( be phycial). if he can break his defender off hot sauce style they might lose composer. prayin for last years team to come back would be a good idea too!
  17. yeah its very fun watchin em play i will say that. its just cobb, mckoy, m johnson, and foster have been playin together since middle school. i know foster might not run the play right everytime but he is not goin to get the ball knocked out his hands and adds beef to a weak post. just cause you 6'6 dont make you good just ask javon martin. plus i wanna see a dunk. not goin to happen from the csas tall man.
  18. from what i have seen he looks like he can help. good size and better hands than ball. i saw him set a great pick vs ER. its not like he has to score. zee came in and got 2 quick fouls and was on mcmasters. so are you tellin me another player is wasting his time with csas basketball? poor kid /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  19. temple will have to pull a rabbit out its hat. bitter memories of a very public beating are imprinted in these kids minds. hopefully the coach too. i expect its gonna be 85-53 CSAS. a busted clock would look even better.
  20. dragoo mad is like a gnat in your ear. its not like he is a lion. he just states the obvious. "we're not making any shots." the 1st grader in the stands can see that. how bout doin the COACH thing and find mismatches. not many player can hang with hampton or cobb 1 on 1. just look at the kid from grace("there best player") the other night. didnt help em win in overtime during that tourny huh? why isnt my boy foster not getting quality PT? seems like when he goes in he comes right out. another seemly athletic player not being used. the bench is for players not cheerleaders!
  21. umm the burden was ball they dont pass it to him. for a 6'7 cat i expect a few more 2 pointers from him. tonight he only scored points from the line. which says he can make shoots when no one is on him but a finish close to the basket would be so SWEEEEEEET!!!!! weight room!!!
  22. first off congrats to the CSAS players on a great game. what game where you watching? "carter was a monster inside"???????? the kid played well but didnt take over the game like the tallest person witin 15 miles should do. he was spending to much time in the high post instead of taking it to ball down low and putting it to him. if i was CSAS i will give up that 15 foot jumper all day too. he did have his fair share of blocks but cobb, hampton, and all the other guards still were able to score inside the paint on him. the kid should have fouled out but the refs wouldnt call anything on him and when he did foul they gave it to some one else. that happen atleast 2 times. CSAS has had a good start to the season and are goin bout it like gentlemen(which comes from there coach) but i dont think i would be the only person who would like for them to be samurai and chop a few heads off(not like there coach). in the region and beyond its kill or be killed just like in battle and CSAS has a huge target around there necks everyone is aiming for. why not go for the kuda gra when you can?
  23. i respect PC more than you think tay. there coach is a killer. but they have the benifit/curse of being in a less athletic region of single A. is PC a game i would like to play again in sub-state? NOOO!!!!!! not up there atleast. its a hard place to play cause your public enemy #1
  24. quality win for the pats! way to go players. what happen today though?
